How do you see recent calls on Apple Watch?

For some reason, you might want to delete your recent calls on your Apple Watch. Unfortunately, you can’t do this directly on the device. Apple has not made any updates wherein users can delete their recent calls on the device itself. And it’s not like users have not been requesting this update for years now.

Nonetheless, there is a way to delete your recent calls on your Apple Watch but through the use of your iPhone. For obvious reasons, this iPhone should be the one paired with your Apple Watch. It’s pretty easy to do and here are the steps:

1. On your iPhone, open the Phone app.
2. On the tabs below, tap on Recents. Here, you will find all the calls you’ve recently made. The list will also include FaceTime Audios and Videos.
3. At the upper right corner of the screen, tap on Edit. You will notice that each call will have a red minus icon on its left.
4. Choose the calls that you want to delete and tap on the red minus icon on the left. This row will move to the left and you will see Delete on its right side.
5. Tap on Delete and this call will be removed from the list. Do this for all the calls that you wish to delete.
6. Once you’re done, tap on Done located at the upper right corner of the screen.
7. On your Apple Watch, open the Phone app. The recent calls that you deleted on your iPhone should now have also been removed from your Apple Watch.

The procedure above is great for deleting only specific calls on your Apple Watch. If you want to delete all recent calls, there’s an easier way to do it instead of deleting them one by one. Here’s what you need to do:

1. On your iPhone, open the Phone app.
2. On the tabs below, tap on Recents. Here, you will find all the calls you’ve recently made. The list will also include FaceTime Audios and Videos.
3. At the upper right corner of the screen, tap on Edit. 
4. At the upper left corner of the screen, tap on Clear. You will be prompted to confirm this action.
5. Tap on Clear All Recents. Now, all your recent calls should have been deleted.
6. On your Apple Watch, open the Phone app. All your recent calls should now have been removed from your Apple Watch.

Some users have reported issues with syncing the deletion between the two devices. If you do encounter this issue, make sure that the OS of your iPhone and your Apple Watch are both updated. If it still doesn’t work, try unpairing the devices and pairing them again and it should work. If it still doesn’t, the next best thing would be to consult an Apple Genius regarding this issue.

If you’re on a call that doesn’t use FaceTime audio, you can switch a call to your iPhone, adjust the call volume, enter numbers using the keypad, and switch the call to another audio device.

• Switch a call from your Apple Watch to your iPhone: While talking on your Apple Watch, unlock your iPhone, then tap the green button or bar at the top of the screen.
