We've seen many sides of Gwyneth Paltrow: From the '90s hipster to the girly Oscar winner to the GOOP-y homemaker and mother-of-two, Gwynnie has gone through countless style transformations. But one thing that's remained constant over the years is her signature long, straight, blonde hair (minus that short, yet memorable stint with a pixie back in the Brad Pitt years). Her look is easy and classic and works just as well on the red carpet as it might shopping at the (organic) grocery store.

How does Gwyneth Paltrow do her hair?

This morning, Paltrow gave us a glimpse into how she achieves that perfect 'do, posting an Instagram of herself getting her hair done by stylist David Babaii. We reached out to Babaii, who was just named North American brand ambassador for the luxury hairstyling brand ghd, to tell us how we can get her effortless-looking hair at home.

Babaii has been doing Paltrow's hair for 12 years and considers her a dear friend: She even helped him when he decided to get on the healthy track and change his diet and exercise routine. "She helped me lose 135 pounds with working out, what I should eat, and how to deal with it without it making me feel bad," Babaii told us. "She has the soul of an angel and such a cool style—a style that's her own, killer legs, and a killer smile."

And killer hair, thanks to Babaii. It turns out this is not a #wokeuplikethis situation. "She has very thick, curly hair that we transform to a look that is soft, healthy, smooth, and effortless," he told us. "The trick to recreating Gwen's style at home is using all of the right tools. It's the tools that make the look, not the product."

Here's how to get her look:

-Start with clean, wet hair and blow dry using the ghd Air. "It will dry your hair two times faster and lock in moisture leaving it soft and shiny."

-You don't need to focus too much on the style while blow drying because that'll come in the last step. Instead, use a medium round bristle brush to help smooth the hair while you get all the moisture out of your strands. It is important to use a brush that will do most of the work for you—Babaii recommends ghd's Natural Bristle Radial Brush Size 3.

-Once your hair is completely dry, section it in 1" to 1.5" sections and pass the Eclipse styler through it, root to tip, only one or two times.

-After you've gone through all your hair, part it in the middle or the deep side. And voilà, Paltrow-approved locks with a glossy finish, no products necessary.

Celebrity hair stylist David Babaii has spent much of the past 15 years traveling the globe with megawatt clients, such as Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, and Angelina Jolie. But it's Gwyneth Paltrow who has proven to be Babaii's lucky charm—and business partner. After opening a members-only blow-dry bar inside Tracy Anderson's Brentwood Studio in Los Angeles last year, the pair was flooded with requests asking them to expand. And now, they've upped the ante with a franchise partnership with Blo Blow Dry Bars. "I'm going to freshen up the service menu," says Babaii. "I'll definitely teach styles that are directly influenced by how I style my celebrities. Just don't go looking for 'The Gwyneth.' " But you can look below—here are Babaii's tips on how to get blowouts like three of his favorite clients': Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, and Angelina Jolie.

Gwyneth: Sleek and Shiny "Apply a nice smoothing product like Phytodefrisant to wet hair, then section it off: Two sections in the front and one in the back, making sure you have parted the hair slightly off-center. Then start drying the hair using a round brush. Go slow and smooth, almost like ironing. Instead of curving under, slide the brush down, letting the heat come from top to bottom so you are smoothing it out. Do three passes in each section. When you are done, quickly run a flatiron through the hair. My favorite is by GHD. Then you should have that smooth, shiny look that Gwyneth loves."

Kate: Created Chaos "For Kate's beachy waves, make a center part with wet hair. Do a soft blowout with a round brush. I don't like to rough-dry the hair, because it gets all crinkly and frizzy—I prefer to add the chaos later. Once the hair is dry, I add a light beach spray, like the one by Unite. Next, I use a curling iron to put in random curls. Do this all over the head, making sure that the curls go in different directions and are different lengths. This gives you that beachy, bohemian look. Be sure to stretch the curls, or else they might end up looking like Shirley Temple ringlets, which nobody wants!"

Angelina: Full and Sexy "Angie has a lot of long, fine hair, so she likes the roots to be lifted with a subtle bend. Start wet and clean and part the hair on the side. Using a round brush, do a soft blowout. Pay extra attention to the roots to create lots of volume—don't pull straight. Following the blowout, use a large curling iron to create more volume and body. Softly brush out the curls. When I first started doing her hair, we used old-fashioned hot rollers. But we eventually found that using the curling iron created the same look that actually held longer."
