How many can you seat at a 6 foot rectangular table

The short answer is that 6-8 people can fit at a 6ft rectangular rental table from Saskatoon Party Rentals.

The picture that we have created below show seating at a 6ft rectangular table created in Party CAD (its the software that we use to accurately measure seating plans for our larger Saskatoon events). The hall that we are renting for our reception has the 6 foot rectangular tables. Do any of you know how many people these types of tables will fit on each side? Here is the layout that I am looking at for the Reception, but I'm not sure if the tables will only hold 6 people each total, or if I might be able to comfortably fit 8 people at each table.....

For 6 feet i'd say 3 on each side which will be 6.. 8 if you use the ends ..

Those tables are 8ft thats why they have 4 on each side just to let you know.

3 on each side, one on each end. I personally love rectangles. A lot of my couples are using long tables (like four of those rectangles in a long line. If you have the space, it's really fun!

Well....I'm glad I went and measured the tables myself on my way home from work because they are 8 ft tables, LOL! The lady told me 6 ft but I figured I better double check.

Even with an 8-foot table, 3 on each side works better than 4 so they aren't bumping their knees on the table legs.

In case you are ever trying to figure out how many people you can fit around circular table, here is a quick guide!
- 3' with a pedestal base seats 4
- 4' with legs seats 4
- 5' with a pedestal base seats 6
- 5' with legs seats 4
- 6' with pedestal base or legs seats 8
- 7' with pedestal base or legs seats 9
And here is a guide for rectangular tables!
- 4' long seats 4
- 5'-6' long seats 6
- 7' long seats 8
- 8'-9' long seats 10
- 10'-11' seats 12

Wedding Wire has a seating chart option where you can set up your tables. That is what she used.

The picture that Almost Mrs. Smith posted is of WeddingWire's Seating Chart tool! You can access this tool by hovering over 'Planning Tools', then clicking on 'Seating Chart'. You will have to add your guests to your WW Guest List before you can play around with their seating!

At a 6 foot rectangular table, you can seat 6-8 guests: 3 on each side, and 1 person on each end. I'd recommend going with 6 people!

Was the seating chart section removed? I put in guest and assigned tables but i wanted to be able to do a floor layout like above. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks

At work we typically seat two-three people on each side of our 6' rectangular tables, although you can also put two on the ends. It depends on the size of the chairs to an extent. For me, two people per side is certainly more comfortable, but I suppose three is practical.

How long is a rectangle table that seats 8?

A 60” to 72” long rectangular table can seat up to 6 adults. An 84” to 96” long rectangular table can seat up to 8 adults. A 108” to 120” long rectangular table can seat up to 10 adults.

How many people can fit on a 6 table?

How many people can sit at an 6′ (72″) banquet (rectangle) table? 6-8 people can fit at a 6′ table. If you seat 8, the people on the end will not be able to slide their chairs under the table. If you have formal place settings, you definitely can't fit more than 6.

How long is a rectangle table that seats 10?

To seat 10 people, with four on each side of the rectangle, the table must be 96 inches long.

How many can you seat at a 5 foot rectangular table?

If rectangular, and the table length is 5 feet: sits 4-6 comfortably; if it's 5 feet round, up to 8 people comfortably; If rectangular, and the table length is 6 feet: sits 6-8 comfortably; if it's 6 feet round: up to 10 people comfortably (if you use banquet chairs, you can squeeze 12 people);
