Ingredients:

  • 6 medium potato, peeled and thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 cans (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 pound cooked ham, chopped

Steps:

  1. Stir the potatoes, onion, soup, water and ham in a large bowl. Spoon the potato mixture into a 3-quart shallow baking dish.
  2. Bake at 350°F. for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

I use Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Condensed style. Try this in the oven or on the stove with this simple recipe. For a large pot plop the meat in the crock pot and plop the soup on the top. Put the lid on and leave it alone for the day. Make sure it is on low heat. I like to add onion soup mix right out of the package if you want a different flavor. Leave it alone for the day. Once you get home dinner is made.

         

Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup is rich and creamy. At home, we like it by itself with plenty of crackers and paired with a grilled cheese sandwich. But, it's also great in a variety of dishes and sauces. I'm not sure what I'd do without Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup.

I've had good and bad mushroom soup. Campbell's never disappoints. This one is creamy and full of mushrooms, some of the cheap brands skimp on ingredients.

         

You can't go wrong with this top name brand cream of mushroom soup which is condensed. We use it mainlly to smother chicken, steak and pork but is truly versatile in the kitchen.

         

Campbell's has been making soups for years. The mushroom soup came well packaged and fresh. We've already used it to make a casserole dish and smothered chicken. These 50oz. cans go a long ways, can be stored AND is much cheaper per ounce than store bough smaller cans.

         

As many other reviewers have mentioned, Campbell's Cream of Mushroom is a great soup, but really shines when used as a sauce base in protein dishes. Cover some bone in chicken breasts or pork chops and braise for a while for tender meat in a creamy mushroom sauce. Mix with equal parts Campbell's Cream of Onion (or a lesser amount of plain onion soup) for more robust flavor.

         

A can or two of this unreconstructed stirred in a pan with cooked cubed boneless pork chops and enough milk to get a consistency you like, and then served over rice. A simple to make, filling, and delicious every time main dish.

Two words, beef stroganoff. This can of great goodness has never failed to provide me with the luxury that is beef stroganoff. But honestly, I wouldn't use anything else to make the classic recipe.

         

Now for Thanksgiving I had what everyone is waiting for GREEN BEAN casserole. What I do for my family is if we go to someones house I make it for them but I also make it for home to. But this year I also made one for a neighbor. With needing a larger amount this saved time and I was able to save money by buying larger cans.
