Prices have gone up between $2360 and $3860 across the range, with the 78 Series TroopCarrier getting the smallest increase. The popular 79 Series double-cab GXL gets the biggest price bump: up $3860 to $75,600 before on-road costs.

Headlining the updates is a new infotainment system, which measures in at 6.1 inches, and includes navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Unlike most other vehicles however, the LandCruiser 70 still lacks Apple Carplay, Android Auto and digital radio.

It’s also worth noting this system is smaller and less tech-loaded than the infotainment display in the new Toyota HiLux, which will measure in at 8.0 inches and will have more features.

Along with the infotainment display, the updated 70 Series LandCruiser range also gets two USB points up front, along with one 12-volt power outlet and an additional cup holder for the passenger. There is also a larger slot for holding bigger smartphones.

These updates include all 70 Series variants: single-cab and double cab utes (79), Troopcarrier (78) and five-door wagon (76).

Such inclusions have been a common aftermarket upgrade for the LandCruiser for many years, which despite its dated design, continues to be a popular choice for Australian buyers.
