How to download pictures from computer to flash drive

Copying files could be done in many ways. First insert your USB into the PC after it has booted. The USB should be recognised by the PC and assigned a drive letter. Look under “My Computer” to see the letter assigned.

Using a Windows PC, some of the easiest ways to copy data to your Integral USB Flash Drive are:-

A. Select the files that you want to copy.
B. On the toolbar click on Edit =>Copy. This copies the location to the system memory on the PC.
C. Open the drive for the USB Flash Drive. On the toolbar click on Edit => Paste. This copies   the files from the PC memory to the USB Flash Drive.

Or

A. Select the files that you want to copy.
B. Right-click on one of the files (you will see that the rest of the files stay highlighted) and click on Copy. This copies the location to the system memory on the PC.
C. Open the drive for the USB Flash Drive. Right-click in a white empty space on the drive and click on Paste. This copies the files from the system memory to the USB Flash Drive.

Or

A. Select the files that you want to copy.
B. Press Ctrl and C (this is the Windows shortcut for copy) on the keyboard. This copies the location to the system memory on the PC.
C. Open the drive for the USB Flash Drive. Click in a white empty space on the drive and press Ctrl and V (this is the Windows shortcut for paste) on the keyboard. This then copies the files from the PC memory to the USB Flash Drive.

Whether you have a Windows or Mac computer, and regardless of how old or new it is, the process for copying images or other files to a flash drive is essentially the same. You can drag the files or use the copy and paste function available on your system. Backing up important pictures to a flash drive is a great way to ensure your favorite memories aren't destroyed if your computer hard drive ever fails.

Plug your USB flash drive into an open USB port on your computer. Depending on your computer, USB ports are located on either the back or front of your computer. On many laptop models, USB ports are located on the left or right.

Launch "File Explorer" using the Windows Search charm. Your flash drive should appear under the Computer heading on the left side of the File Explorer window. For Mac users, the flash drive is displayed on the desktop.

Double-click your flash drive to open it. Locate your pictures from the folders where you have them on your computer and select the pictures you want to upload to your flash drive. To select several pictures, press and hold "Ctrl" as you click each image. For Mac users, hold "Command."

Drag the selected photos into the flash drive window. Alternatively, you can right-click the selected images, select "Copy" and then right-click the flash drive window and select "Paste."

Close the flash drive after the copying is complete. Click the "Safely remove hardware" button on the system tray beside the clock on your desktop and click your flash drive's assigned letter in the "Hardware" window. Click "Stop."

If the "Safely remove hardware" option doesn't appear on your version of Windows, just wait a minute or so after the copying appears to be done and then remove the flash drive from your computer.

For Mac users, drag the flash drive from the desktop to the recycle bin to eject it. You can now safely remove your flash drive from the computer.

As a business owner, you may use imagery to promote a product on a company website or enhance a presentation. If many of the images are stored on a PC, however, it’s a good idea to use a storage device to create a backup copy. SanDisk storage devices, including flash drives and memory cards, don’t require third-party software to transfer files. You can complete the process using Windows Explorer.

  1. Insert the SanDisk flash drive into an open USB port on the PC. If you’re using a SanDisk memory card, insert the device into the memory card slot on the computer. If you’re using an external memory card reader, insert the SanDisk card into the external memory card reader and then connect the USB end of the device to the PC.

  2. Select the “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer” option in the AutoPlay dialog box.

  3. Navigate to the folder containing the images you want to transfer.

  4. Select your preferred pictures. Right-click the selected images and highlight the “Send to” option. Select the “Removable Disk” option to automatically transfer the pictures to the storage device.

Double-click on the Removable Disk associated with the USB flash drive. Navigate to the folders in your computer containing files you want to transfer. Click and drag the files you want to the Removable Disk. Release the mouse.
