How to reset oil life on jeep cherokee

In order to reset the oil life indicator for Your 2018 Jeep Cherokee You'll first need to put the vehicle in to the ON position but do not start the engine. Next You want to move over to Your navigation screen and go down to settings and then vehicle info. In that section will be the oil life category and You will need to select that. Now hold down the OK button and it should start resetting itself. Give it a moment to finish and then move the vehicle in to the off position. Now turn the vehicle and the engine on and double check to see that it has in fact reset itself.

Press the start button twice (do not hold the brake) so that it is in the Run setting (but not started) push the gas pedal to the floor 5 times in a row.

Put the ignition to the "on" position without turning on the engine. Press the navigation button on the steering wheel and select vehicle info. Find the text "remaining oil life" and hold down the ok button until the oil life is at 100%. Finally, turn the ignition off and turn on the engine to verify that you reset it properly.

Very easy to reset. 1.) get in the Jeep with the key. 2.) Do not step on the Brake pedal and then Press the Start Button twice. The engine should not start, it will go to 'RUN'. 3.) Press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. 4.) Hit the Start button again to turn off. 5.) start the engine normally and the light should be reset. I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee and this procedure does not reset the light. The change oil message goes off for about 20 seconds and comes back. Tried resetting many many times with same result. Any ideas?

So, after trying 8000 different ways and everyone telling me I was doing it wrong. I found, on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit EcoDiesel, you had to press the accelerator three times while the yellow "oil change required" warning was visible. 1) press ignition button twice to "run" do not start. 2) wait for the the yellow oil change warning to appear 3) press accelerator three times before the warning goes away. 4) oil life reset to 100% without pressing the ignition switch again to "off" Hopefully this works for others also ‍♂️

I have a 2015 EcoDiesel and this procedure still didn't clear the light. I found this procedure on DieselJeeps.com, but it didn't work either. 1. Cycle the ignition to the "ON/RUN" position (Do not start the engine). 2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it fully depressed for at least 30 seconds. 3. Press and release the brake pedal six times while holding the accelerator pedal pressed. 4. Perform one ignition OFF-ON cycle, start the engine and verify that the reminder has been reset. Repeat the process if the indicator does not reset.
