Iphone 13 mini vs iphone 13 pro reddit

That was ultimately the killer problem I found with the 13 Mini, even though at first I thought it might be a good option and a way to save $100. I can't justify getting myself an iPad financially, so my phone is my handheld device and I realized it's important to me to get it as big as I can tolerate. 6.1in hits a pretty good sweet-spot for me, while the Pro Max is simply too large/heavy unfortunately.

It didn't help that even upgrading from a 7 it was disappointing to go to the store and see the technically-larger screen doesn't actually feel any larger due to the narrowness of the screen. It just felt 'taller,' which is nice but not quite what I wanted out of a larger screen.

The other thing was that while demoing them in the store I didn't find it particularly more comfortable in my hand than the regular model, which was surprising given I don't have big hands and usually gel well with smaller devices. Typing felt so much better on the regular model, and something about the way it felt in my hand wasn't as pleasant as I'd expected. Certainly I didn't appreciate how out of proportion the camera bump is on such a small phone, as I struggled not to put my fingers on the cameras.

Then there's the battery issue, which is a problem for someone like myself who holds onto a phone as long as possible and has to consider degradation....

I don't have any hate for the mini models, I think it's a shame they're dropping the option, but I just want as big a phone as possible and the mini turned out to not really be for me. I suspect that's true for a lot of people. It has no upsides other than form factor, and in fact has several outright drawbacks, so you have to be pretty dead-set on having a smaller phone. Which just doesn't seem to be the mindset of the vast majority of people when shopping for an expensive device they're going to use several hours a day looking at.

Iphone 13 mini vs iphone 13 pro reddit

Hello, I’m trying to decide between a 13 mini or a 13 Pro… right now I’m using an iphone 8.. so it’s time for an upgrade 😁 battery life is not what it used to be.. and I rather ask for photos made by my friends that have phones with better cameras than mine if I go somewhere pretty on weekends. I’m an amateur photographer, so the camera is a plus for me.. and I do have a ton of apps for editing pics. I don’t play games on my phone but I sometimes watch Netflix(when I’m lazy) and I always listen to spotify/play youtube on my phone. I’m a girl, so I have small hands 😅 but I compared the two models with my iPhone 8.. one is slightly smaller, one is slightly bigger. I would really like that the batter on my phone to last one day 😁 Do you have any advice?

Sorry, this post was deleted by the person who originally posted it.

So to start with, I am one of the unlucky few that gets motion sick from the promotion display - which is my primary reason for switching. Over time I had gotten larger and larger phones because I felt like that was what I "needed". However, my favorite iPhone has always been the iPhone 5.

That was until I got the iPhone 13 Mini. This phone has quickly become my favorite iPhone of all time for a number of reasons.

  1. The Size - Even coming from a pro max, I do not feel like the functionality of the phone has taken a hit at all. After using it for a few days, it just became normal to me and I still do everything i did on my pro max.

  2. The Speed - This one is obvious, but its great to have such a small form factor phone with such a powerhouse (future proof) processor packed in.

  3. MagSafe - The often overlooked MagSafe is best on the iPhone mini. The wallet fits the phone perfectly, and seems to stay put much better than on the pro max. Likely because its not in the middle of the phone back and instead becomes the entire phone back. I also love how easy it is to position on my MagSafe dock.

  4. Battery Life - Although the Pro Max is almost certainly the battery champ, I have compromised nothing moving to a mini. My charging patterns have remained the same and without any issue getting through the day.

  5. Cameras - The cameras are the same as the Pro Max, less the telephoto. Truth be told, I didn't use the telephoto much except for to scan QR codes on my TV from across the room. So this was easy for me to give up.

All told, it makes me sad to hear the rumors that there will not be a mini moving forward. The mini is secretly the apex iPhone, and I believe that most people would find it to be their ideal phone as well.

End.
