We are excited to announce the development of our new Quitman Office. 

On March 7, 1902, Great Southern Bank was granted the opportunity to serve Quitman and Clarke County as the Bank of Quitman. In early 2019, we began discussing options to enhance our customer experience in Quitman. We first agreed that we are in a great location in the heart of downtown. Next, we had to determine whether to undertake an extensive remodeling of our current building or build a new building. After much discussion, we made the decision to build a new building that will serve the bank and the Clarke County community for decades to come. The new construction project will require us to demolish the present building, use a temporary building on the back side of our current lot and build our new building where the present building now sits. The new building will include parking in front of the building and a community room for various clubs and organizations to have access to as well. We intend to get this project started this summer with an estimated completion time of up to 15 months.
