It's fun.

But truthful feedback: it feels more like you're playing an interactive film. It falls into that modern category of gaming. Lots and lots of cut scenes and cinematics. You kinda set the controller down and don't touch it for awhile in many, many parts of this game. So you have to be a GoTG fan to not care. (If this wasn't a GoTG game, I would never have bought it.)

I bought it because I love GoTG. The combat kinda reminds me of Kingdom Hearts. You press a button to execute special moves that have a cooldown timer. This also applies to your companions. There are a number of QTE's in the game (and in combat). I'm not much of a fan of those. I kinda wished combat was more arcade-like, but that's Square Enix for you.

As far as combat and gameplay are concerned, I wouldn't have bought the game for those types of mechanics. They're not my cup of tea.

The story is linear with some choice making. Most environments are pretty hallway-like, so you'll be railroaded through places. Meaning, it's not open or anything. And that's fine. It's telling a story. The voice acting is good -- ergo, you're basically playing an interactive movie.

I wished there were less QTE's, more fast/arcade-like combat, and more open, explorable environments (like maybe as "open" as, if not slightly more open than, Jedi Fallen Order or something).

I was not a fan of any of the flight sim mechanics, btw.

I do feel like I enjoyed it because it's a GoTG story -- and because of the music.
