Is Mark of the Assassin worth playing?

Exiled Prince is worth it for Sebastian. However you end up feeling about him, he's an interesting character with a complex personality and unique points of view you don't get from any other companion in DA2. He'll challenge you and your companions, give you new and different party banter, and generally be an interesting, if controversial, addition to your merry band of crazies and weirdos.

If nothing else, if they did indeed incorporate the cancelled Exalted March DLC into DA:I, Sebastian will likely play an important role in that plot, so it would be in your interest to be familiar with the character beforehand.

Mark of the Assassin is fun, but hardly essential. It feels more like Hawke's Adventurous Day Off than an integral part of the story. Also Tallis is not a fixed companion, she's only with you for the DLC campaign and then you leave her behind.

Both are worth having I'd say, but if you already have Legacy and can only afford one more DLC, I'd go with Exiled Prince, as it feels more integrated into the main campaign and is more likely to have serious repercussions in DA:I.

If you don't have Legacy though, disregard all this and get that one instead. It's by far the best and most essential of the three.

I don't think it is better than Legacy, but does it have awesome equipments? How many hours does the add-on last?

Feedbacks are appreciated.

My answer is yes, but only if you like rolling the dice. I know there's an issue with people having corrupted saves with it (I made a topic about it, asking if anyone was able to complete it and have a good save afterwards.) Don't know if it's certain people, or everyone, or just people who have all the other DLC, or what.

If it were glitchless, I'd say get it - pretty fun, and has a nice "stealth" portion sort of like a D&D Metal Gear. No hiding in boxes or moving bodies, though.

Stupid, stupid rat creatures!!!

Now if that isn't a crying shame. I personally make back ups always and make a few other save files, too. It sucks that it has such a major problem. Not worth it the risk then. I am sure Bioware/EA will patch this sooner or later.

They tend to listen to the community's wishes.

Not sure if I am being sarcastic here or not lol.

Thank you for the warning.

I've gotten and played Mark of the Assassin.... and I very much regret the purchase. I especially despised the "stealth" portion, because it didn't feel "Dragon Age" at all to me.

I also didn't care much for the new character. I see no good reason why they couldn't have written that plot with Isabela as the main character, and made a few minor changes (since Tallis' motivation wouldn't really work for Isabela). Then, you package that whole thing as "this is one of the adventures that took place in those three-year gaps we don't otherwise explain".

....

Regarding length, it'll kill a few hours of time.... more if you're really bad at the puzzles inside the vault that have their own trophy.

I thought it was pretty good. Fully voiced made it worth the 10 bucks. I also found the difficulty to be rather challenging on a few of the battles.....i by that i mean the Altar quest and the Alpha Wyvern.

While we all may have a right to our opinions by no means does that make anyone's opinion right. Yoko Hikasa has an incredible singing voice.

It was okay, equal measure of pro's and cons.

It's obvious it's just a promotion of Felicia Day and her Qunarigasms of course, but that said i don't think her character is bad exactly. There are some nice new inviroments and some okay banter, but as the base game you don't really have any say in what happens. If you just want to se what it's like then go for a youtube playthrough.

When should you play Mark of the Assassin?

At the end of act 2 is supposed to be the best time to play Mark of the Assassin, then act 3 is helpful in act 3 just before you wind up getting into the end cause it adds bonus to the end fight against Meredith and the templars.

When should I do the DLC in Dragon Age 2?

The DLC is modular enough that you can really play them anytime; there's no specific time in the story that they take place. The gear you get from them scales to the level you are when you receive it, though, so a lot of people like to play them in Act 3 so the gear is still useful for the final battle.

How long to beat Dragon Age 2 Legacy?

When focusing on the main objectives, Dragon Age II is about 26½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 58 Hours to obtain 100% completion.
