Coming Out To Grandma Will Be A LOT!!!

Amrit and Nicholas are having a Halloween housewarming party and they will probably get free rent out of it because they praise this apartment building in every episode. And I am in with that. The theme is “angels and demons” and Amrit’s parents are NOT invited. lol. Amrit is going to be half nekkid at the party so he is dieting. He  has a grandmother who doesn’t know he is gay. Although, Amrit’s dad thinks she already knows. He wants to get engaged to Nicholas but he has to tell his grandmother he is gay first. That will be difficult.

This show is a bit harder to recap that Housewives shows because they generally are having fun 80% of the time and fighting 20%. In other words, the inverse of a housewives show. I love watching them shop for their costumes for Halloween. Anisha tells Vishal she thinks he and Richa are soulmates. I would not go that far. If I was a eleventy billion years younger, I’d date Vishal. Anisha tries to act like Vishal needs to make up with the stupid kid. Anisha doesn’t seem interested in making up with Monica 1.0 either.

Monica 1.0 goes to her boyfriend Rish’s parents house to have some drinks and hang out on a Friday night. Rish’s parents love her. They are both religious and partiers. I’m down with that. Rish’s family seems super fun. Apparently, these two were childhood sweethearts.

Amrit Is The Neutral Guy?

Why the fuck is Amrit meeting with Dillon? Dillon is a little bitch. He seems to think Vishal needs to apologize to him. I’m completely fine with Vishal threatening to beat his ass. He needs an ass beating. Dillon gets gay shamed and Amrit has had no issues. That’s because one is an asshole who is calling straight men gay and acting like a fool, and the other is a decent guy. Nothing to do with sexuality.

Brian learns how to do laundry. Sort of. But he’s cute. I’d do his laundry. He feels like Monica 2.0 is expected to marry a doctor. She is a doctor, and her whole family is a doctor. Indian women all want to marry doctors according to Brian and his mother. So he is insecure.

Monica 1.0 Seems To Think Marriage Is Coming Soon

Monica 1.0’s mom tells the story of her arranged marriage. She married Monica’s dad in an arranged marriage and only met him ten minutes before they were married. They divorced because they owned a jewelry store and the pressure from the business basically destroyed their marriage. (Side Note: Banjo is having a rough night and he comes first so this recap is getting later and later. He has some blindness and incontinence issues. I have some plans for us coming up. He just needs to hang in there. 🙁 ) . Monica 1.0 and her mother are thrilled that Kamala Harris is in the White House. Aren’t we all! Monica wants her parents to get along and not be estranged at her events. Like her wedding? This seems fast to me.

Everyone goes to great lengths to get dressed up for the Halloween party. Such elaborate makeup and costumes. Did I mention I hate Halloween and so does Nicolas. He is clearly the most intelligent and mature one in the bunch. Amrit on the other hand loves it. His mom helps set up for the party. Amrit talks to Vishal about Dillon. This is the storyline that will never die. Just stay the fuck out of it Amrit!  He seriously wants Vishal to apologize to Dillon? HELL TO THE NOE! Brian is dressed as a priest in hopes of ending all the feuds. Good luck with that, pretty boy. THERE ARE NOT GOOD PEOPLE ON BOTH SIDES, Brian!

Bali, the auntie who acts like a niece is not impressed with Amrit’s offerings. There is not enough ice and the “Trader Joe’s appetizers” are insufficient. Because of my stereotypical view on gay men I have to agree with her. All of the gay men in my life are much more fabulous than this. Dumbass Dillon of course shows up to ruin the party. Vishal apologizes to Dillon’s brother first. SIGH. Brian wants to know if Anisha has talked to Monica 1.0. Look, Anisha is no angel but I am sick of everyone treating her like the devil, to use the party theme as an example.

There is a lot of discussion about why Amrit an Nicholas are not engaged and how he has to tell his grandmother he is gay first. It will be the first gay wedding in the Miami Indian community. Wow. They are so brave. I can’t believe this is still a thing. Vishal and Dillon talk and Vishal does hug it out with him. Vishal is such a good person. He is dressed as have angel half demon. He stands up on the planter, not like the railing to the high rise and flaps his wings. Richa finds that very immature. I REALLY want Vishal to dump Richa. She’s annoying as fuck.

Monica 1.0 Truly Is A Twatwaffe

Brian tries to help Monica 1.01.0  and Anisha make up. I know Anisha is a weirdo and so am I. So I am on her side. I feel like Monica belittles her. She feels superior to Anisha and she is NOT. What I do know is that we are still (I think, at this moment) allowed to call people TWATWAFFLES and I applaud Anisha for calling Monica 1.0  a twatwaffle in her talking head. Bravo girl. Bravo. Anisha extends the olive branch. I like Monica 1.0 but she is really mean to Anisha. Anisha says she will not stop her sarcastic humor. But she will be less sarcastic around the everso fragile Monica 1.0. Frankly, I feel like Anisha is a bit socially awkward and some of the girls use that as a soft underbelly to attack. Leave my girl alone!
