Where is the series headed next and why is it leaving Netflix? Let’s take a look. The animated series that uses assets from the hit video game series Halo is set after the Halo event of 2552. It’s a comedy series that sees two armies on opposite sides of a canyon war for real estate in the galaxy. Netflix has carried the show since 2014 but had one or two seasons streaming for multiple years. In 2016, however, Netflix picked up an additional 11 seasons. Every season of Red vs. Blue is due to leave every Netflix region on January 1st, 2020. That includes Netflix in the US, Netflix UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, Latin America and Asia. It’s worth noting season 14-17 of Red vs. Blue aren’t on Netflix neither are they likely to be joining anytime soon. Why is Red vs. Blue leaving Netflix?Rooster Teeth is owned by Otter Media which is subsequently owned by WarnerMedia which is subsequently owned by AT&T. Rooster Teeth content is headed for HBO Max (owned by AT&T) and that’s where we’re expecting Red vs. Blue, likely in full, will end up streaming after it leaves Netflix. HBO Max isn’t due to release in the US market in May 2020. It’s why we’re seeing Friends leave Netflix, Disney titles and so on. The good news is that you can find every season (including those that weren’t on Netflix) on Roosterteeth.com. You can also find the entire collection on Youtube. (Movie format meaning no transition just a straight movie pretty much of 1 season being an hour long) it’s sad that it’s leaving Netflix cause I love the fact there’s no intro or outro after every episode. It’s also good to know that I’m a chronic RvB watcher as in I watch all the seasons like 5 times a year but it’s just sad it’s leaving but I heard it’s going to be on HBO max so maybe that’s worth looking forward too.
