Tottenham Hotspur fans will be able to watch games on Amazon Prime through Sky Q after a deal was struck between the two companies.

The firms reached an agreement for a carriage deal in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy and Austria, meaning that Prime's football coverage will be available to some Sky customers for the first time.

Premier League match preview: Liverpool v Spurs

The deal is seen as an important one, not only that it provides Sky Q and NOW TV customers with live coverage of every Premier League game through to the end of next season, but also that it is a collaboration between two of the biggest players in the market.

The Premier League, which boasts one of the most lucrative broadcast deals in world football, will see its TV rights put up for tender from the 2022/23 season with clubs hoping that the market remains as buoyant despite the far-reaching economic ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Now TV app will be available on Amazon Fire TV set-top boxes and USB sticks, providing Amazon Prime subscribers access to Sky Sports on a short-term subscription basis.
