Is Turning Red on Prime Video

What to Watch

Remember how intensely awkward you were as a preteen? Pixar does, and they made a movie about it. Directed by Domee Shi in her feature directorial debut and written by Shi and Julia Cho, Turning Red revolves around Mei (Rosalie Chiang), a 13-year-old girl who’s torn between being the person her mom wants her to be and forging her own path. Oh, and also Mei turns into a giant red panda anytime she loses control of her emotions. Beautifully animated and deeply sweet, if this one won’t make you call your mom, nothing will.

This is not an Andor review, though, it's a plea for Andor fans who... Read more

‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’

By Anna Menta

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is exactly the wacky, wild, and silly movie you'd expect from a Weird Al movie starring Harry Potter. If you're looking for the true story of how the parody musician rose to fame, this isn't the movie for you. But if you're looking for an absurd, chaotic spoof that pokes fun at tired Hollywood tropes—while also... Read more
