When buying this product, I followed the reviews and made sure I purchased straight from Amazon to avoid getting counterfeit product. I first used this product at about 11pm and by 5am the next morning I was waking up sick as a dog with vomiting and diarrhea. I had not eaten anything that could have caused it, so I struggled to make sense about what could have made me sick. The only thing different in my schedule about that day was using this tanner for the first time. I dismissed that thought, thinking “how could a tanner possibly make my stomach this sick”. 3 days go by and I’m feeling fine again, until I use this tanner for the second time. I used it at around 11pm and like clockwork, 5am rolls around and I am back with the same symptoms and added body aches. It’s at this point that I realize, as crazy as it seems, this can’t be a coincidence. I look up “self tan made me sick” and found many articles stating that people who have IBS, lactose intolerance, and other stomach issues can become sick from the self tan chemicals absorbing through the skin. I myself am both lactose intolerant and have IBS so this immediately went ding ding ding in my head. I tossed the bottle out that very second. I do see by the ratings that this product works great for most people! This is simply a warning for my fellow easily upset tummy friends out there.

Can you use Jergens instant sun mousse on your face?

Self tanners with DHA work by reacting with the amino acids on the top of your skin, creating a darkened shade. Applying a self-tanner with this ingredient on your face is safe to use, but it should not be applied to the area around the eyes, nose, or lips.

Do you wash off Jergens natural glow instant sun?

After I finish, I let it air dry for a few minutes before getting dressed, but I will say that this tanner dries probably the fastest out of any other tanner I've used. I go to sleep in loose pants and a baggy t-shirt, then I wash off in the shower after eight hours the next morning.
