Kids zone entry will be $10 at the kids zone area entrance on site, not online or at a ticket gate. This will give them access to inflatables, joust, axe throwing, wack a mole, slides, bounce houses, obstacle course combos, and much more! See all The Southwest Louisiana Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place annually in Lake Charles, attracting ballooning enthusiasts and professionals from all over the South. Dozens of beautiful balloons rise over the Chennault International Airport, filling Lake Charles' sky with colors. The main highlights of the two-day Southwest Louisiana Hot Air Balloon Festival are a balloon glow and spectacular fireworks displays that take place every night of the festival at 8:30 pm. The schedule also includes a barbecue competition, live music on two stages, dance performances, and a beer festival. General admission is $15. There will be balloons, live music, air-conditioned rest stations, a kid’s zone, giant glow-in-the-dark kites, local favorite food vendors, VIP tent tickets, and maybe even a skydiver and a few horses. VIP entry to the festival, includes a free tethered balloon ride, an air-conditioned tent and restroom, and a gourmet dinner. Plus, a private seating area for the concerts and VIP parking. Children over 5 must have a kids VIP ticket to enter the VIP tent. ParkingVIP Parking is onsite with ticket purchase General Admission parking will be located on South Park Rd, across the street from The Stables at Le Bocage. Handicap parking will be available with proof of valid permit. Premier Parking is located near the front entrance, it must be purchased online in advance for $10.
