This took more than two hours. Had I not was preemptive I would have been stuck in Frankfort for an extra day."

Consequently, I had to spend the night in San Fran which was not compensated by the airline, and I was forced to miss a business rendezvous I had arranged."

The flight attendant bent over and said his duffel bag is full of puppies! Wow. Why would he be allowed to bring that on a 5.30 hour flight. Then he's soaking these pups with air freshener. I was sick to my stomach. The only thing this guy was worried about was his new sneakers. Pathetic excuse of a human being. I still feel sick, and my throat hoarse from the smell of chemicals."

So i am sent to wait in line for an agent at 11:16 and arrive to the counter after 12. My flight was originally at 11:47 and kayak alerted me delay to 12:42. All around confusing and horrible expensive experience with no refunds. Ill never use kayak or spirit again"

To check a bag is another $50, and $55 to carry it on, and while you can get discounts on this if you sign up to be an awards member with Spirit and manage it PRIOR to your flight, this was not explained anywhere in my original booking. Food and beverages are SO overpriced - it's clearly a major profit center for Spirit. The plane was not comfortable. Very tightly crowded, seats do not recline, no back pockets for storage, no entertainment or WiFi - bare bones comfort. At the Las Vegas airport, we waited in line to check our bags at the Spirit counter (the only option for bag checking) after signing in at the Kiosk for over 40 minutes, and at 45 minutes until our flight was about to take off, finally took our boarding passes so we could go through Security. If Security had been busy, we would have missed our flight. This was NOT handled well as they kept calling other flights to "jump" the line. Basically, Spirit touts a lower-cost airline for a small downgrade in comfort. In reality, it is a very SLIGHTLY lower-cost airline with a major downgrade in convenience and comfort. I will not be selecting Spirit again."

Unwilling to give partial refund to allow me to fly home with them and just purchase a one way ticket with another airline. Avoid at all cost. Their cheap tickets aren't worth the hassle! Will never book with them again!"

Cons: "The bag fees for me to check a bag and carry on a second bag was $100, so my inexpensive fare was $200 more. On the flight out the seats were very uncomfortable--plastic non adjusting seats. Thank goodness the flight was only four hours long. While I understand that drinks and snacks are "add ons" and a profit center, passengers have to buy expensive water and snacks with the gate vendors. Surely the airline could stock a few gallons of water for dehydrated passengers? The cost of my two bags would have covered bottled water for everyone on the flight."

I attempted to thank her and got no response, she just turned and walked away. I can say with all honesty that i have never been treated so rudely on any other airline."

Then on my boarding pass they put 0 bags where I was then asked for $100 fee to check my carry on at the gate. Why would they put 0 bags?!?! Thank God I had my receipt with me and I dodged that extra expense. The staff was so rude. Worst flight experience of my life! They make TSA look great."

Cons: "Before boarding I was unaware that this airline charges for every little thing - printing a boarding pass, carry on luggage (I paid $100 for my carry on bag because it wasn't within the height restriction), assigned seating, snacks, etc. Not to mention there is no leg room and seats don't recline. It was the worst flight experience I have ever had."

They were able to get it started and we were able to fly."

Cons: "I did not have my credit card with me and flight attendants would not accept cash for food and drink. I started to feel faint during take off. I asked the flight attendant for a glass of water. She said I have to buy water. I said I do not have my credit card with me. She said they do not accept cash! I begged for water, even just a sip I pleaded. She said all I can give you is a bit of ice. I started to cry and hold my throat. She still did not give me an ounce of water!!!! It cost $55 to CARRY ON my bag!! I just could not believe it! Also, the flight was delayed for take off. I will NEVER fly Spirit Airlines again. NEVER EVER!!!"

Pros: "My flight to Las Vegas was delayed 7 hours with no compensation. Then the flight from Vegas to New Orleans was delayed 2 hrs at 2pm then site 2 hrs at 5pm until it was finally canceled at 10pm. After I spent 3.5 hrs standing in line I was re-booked a non direct flight the next day with another airline,and they put me up in a hotel for 2hours until my next day of flying to Denver, Houston, and then new Orleans. I was originally supposed to arrive in new Orleans via a direct flight Sunday night but ended up not reaching my final destination until Tuesday afternoon."

Cons: "They charged $55 for a carryon, in which I was not notified of until I got to y airport. My flight was delayed with no compensation. The steward woke me up at midnight to ask if I wanted to purchase a coke. My return flight was delayed all day then canceled. Services were less than professional and filled with hidden fees."

Cons: "This was the worst airline experience I've ever had. It was like a cheap city bus in the air. Seats were horribly uncomfortable. I was charged for water, which is ridiculous. People were carrying on as if it was a party bus. I will never allow anyone in my circle of family or friends to use this airline. It was deplorable. I was so excited to get off the plane. And I immediately began to dread the flight on the way home, thats how bad it was."

Cons: "The seats do not recline, and there was no room between the seats. Sad that you can't even get a complementary coffee or water. Baggage fees are ridiculous."
