Characters Introduced in the Third Game

Wizards

Man-made EM Beings that serve as the Star Force universe's equivalent to NetNavis, helping humans with everyday life. However, due to the increasing levels of Noise, and the machinations of Dealer, more and more Wizards have been going out of control.

  • Ax-Crazy: Wizards under the influence of too much Noise become wild rampaging beasts, little more than powerful viruses.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Noise Wizards deploy these from their right hand. Normal wizards may or may not have this ability, but they are never seen using it.
  • Bond Creatures: Many of them are attached to humans in similar ways to the original Net Navis. This is not as general a rule as it was in Battle Network, and there are a lot more wild Wizards running around, thanks to the events of this game.
  • The Corruption: Normal Wizards overwhelmed by noise are driven mad and turn into monsters.
  • Energy Ball: Red Noise Wizards can fire these.
  • Evil Counterpart: Besides the various colorful forms of usual wizards, some people employ "MalWizards", which are the newer incarnations of the HeelNavis.
  • Expy: Of the original Net Navis. Wizards are basically Navis that can manifest in the real world. MalWizards are the same for the old HeelNavis.
  • Gatling Good: Noised Wizards have Vulcans attached to their left hands.
  • Meaningful Name: A wizard in computer-lingo is an aid program. One you may be familiar with is an installation wizard.
  • Punny Name: MalWizards play off of malware.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: MalWizards can throw grenades.
  • Whip It Good: MalWizards use energy whips as their main weapons.

Vogue (Mode)

Luna Platz's personal Wizard who serves to help her look her best and keep track of her social life.

  • Animal Motifs: She's one of the few man-made Wizards to have an animal theme.
  • Everything's Better With Bunnies: Again, designed after a rabbit.
  • The Fashionista: One of Vogue's main functions is to help Luna look her best at all possible times.
  • Foil:
    • As Luna's Wizard, she contrasts with Ophiuca, who was The Corrupter that turned Luna into Queen Ophiuca. There's likely something to be said for the creators giving Luna a rabbit, a gentle animal, rather than the venomous predatory snake.
    • As a personal assistant dedicated to their partner's advancement, she also contrasts with Ice, who was a Psycho Supporter to her partner.
  • Genki Girl: She can be excitable at times.
  • Jade Rabbit: Vogue is a bright green rabbit whose human partner is named for the moon.
  • Pull a Rabbit out of My Hat: The flying top-hat Vogue pilots evokes the classic Stage Magician.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: She's designed after a rabbit.
  • Rodents of Unusual Size: She's almost assuredly larger than the average rabbit.
  • Socialite: Another major function of hers is to help organize Luna's social life.

Pedia

Zack Temple's personal Wizard, who serves as the administrator of Zack's Zackpedia.

  • Expy: As a Non-Action Guy and the personal assistant of the midget in the main character's posse he resembles Glyde.
  • Great Big Book of Everything: Pedia either is or administers the Zackpedia.
  • Non-Action Guy: Pedia's not a fighting Wizard.
  • The Smart Guy: His function is to give the gang advice.

Arthur "Ace" C. Eos (Shidou Akatsuki)

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Acid Ace

Wizard: Acid

EM Human: Acid Ace

Trans-Code: 001

"Well, try not to overdo it."

A high ranking member of the Satella Police in the third game and the leader of the Satella Police Commandos in charge of investigating incidents involving out-of-control Wizards as well as the criminal organization, Dealer. It's later revealed that he was a former member of Dealer and he was romantically involved with Queen Tia. When he left Dealer, he attempted to take Tia and Jack with them but failed.

  • Abusive Parents: Many agents of Dealer were once abused children taken from King's orphanages, and Ace was one of those children.
  • The Ace: Funny, that the best officer in the Satella Police force is named Ace.
  • Action Hero: He certainly seems to be enjoying himself.
  • Always Someone Better: The third game plays with the idea of setting Ace up as this for Geo, but eventually decides not to.
  • Bash Brothers: With Geo.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Geo almost immediately takes a shine to Eos.
  • Big Eater: That Sweet Tooth of his has no off switch.
  • Big Good: With Dr. Goodall and the NAXA Chief.
  • Cool Shades: He has a custom Visualizer like Geo and Shin (this time red in color), but he never uses it on-screen.
  • Contrasting Sequel Main Character:
    • While Chaud and ProtoMan were aloof and a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Ace is an All-Loving Hero with optimistic attitude who would not mind forming friendship and utilizing teamwork to go out of his way to make more allies. Acid Ace utilizes a wide arsenal of weaponry instead of relying on a sword as ProtoMan does.
    • Baryl is strict and harsh upon failures, misconduct, and weaknesses having a sense of doubt of what he is doing pursuing destiny, Ace on the other hand is more soft, has exceptional leadership skills, and kind-hearted. Ace didn't allow himself to be under his adoptive father's influence while Baryl lost his emotions the moment Colonel was split that allowed him to come to terms with his own adopted father's.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Was a former member of Dealer and had formed a romantic relationship with Tia. He tried to take her and Jack with them when he left Dealer, but was unable to. It haunted him ever since.
  • Deuteragonist: Of the 3rd game, where he was seen most of the time acting with authority and the leader of the Satellite Police Commandos.
  • Easily Forgiven: After defeating Diamond Ice, Ice offers to turn herself in for all the trouble she caused, but Ace intervenes.
  • Expy: Ace is another Star Force character directly comparable to multiple characters in the franchise.
    • As a Big Brother Mentor to Geo (who uses a Laser Blade in battle) he recalls Zero's mentorship of X.
    • As a young prodigy on the police force he resembles Eugene Chaud (whose Navi ProtoMan was another Zero expy).
    • As The Leader of the Star Force team he resembles both Chaud and Baryl from Battle Network, especially the latter for having a history with the villains.
    • As Acid Ace, he has a relationship with The Corruption reminiscent of Zero's relationship with the Zero Virus and Acid Ace B. recalls both Nightmare Zero on the one hand and the team leader Navi of Battle Network 5 being Reforged into a Minion.
  • Fun with Acronyms: The source of his nickname. More easily seen in the English translation, but not impossible to put together in the original Japanese (Akatsuki Shi (CE)do).
  • Giving Someone the Pointer Finger: Ace strikes this pose in some official art.
  • Heel–Face Turn: He was part of Dealer, but ditched the group prior to the events of the game proper.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Ace sacrifices himself by absorbing the self-destructive power of Joker. The credits depict him recovering inexplicably in the hospital, but comments by the artist indicate the scene may not have actually been real.
  • Heroic RRoD: He can't maintain an EM Wave Change for an extended period of time without sustaining bodily damage, so his EM Human form has a built-in timer. Mega Man has to exploit this late in the game.
  • Henshin Hero: Eos Wave Changes with Acid to form Acid Ace and even performs a pose similar to the Showa era Kamen Riders.
  • The Hero: Ace has been floating the idea around and likes it plenty. He knows he's not as cut out for it as he would like.
  • Heroic Host: This is an invoked appearance of the trope, as Acid is human technology.
  • Hidden Depths: He seems like an unflappable and all-round cool guy at first glance, but his motivations are surprisingly deep and complex. Turns out he was a former member of Dealer and he tried to take Tia and Jack with him, but was unable to.
  • It's Personal: Suggests the given Purpose for the SP Commandos team be "Crush Dealer". It's so obviously personal it's almost funny. (What really makes it funny is that Mega loves the name, too).
  • I Know Your True Name: Ace gets Geo's attention early in the third game by casually referring to his Secret Identity.
  • The Last Dance: During the end of the Castle Storming.
  • The Leader: He leads the Satella Police Commandos, but he's well aware he's not to be the main hero.
  • Mysterious Middle Initial: Capcom has not said, but there has been speculation that the "C" stands for Christopher.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Most people just call him "Ace". Dr. Goodall, normally The Nicknamer, notably uses his given name of Arthur.
  • Passing the Torch: For bonus points, the torch is the game's signature Giga card.
  • The Rival: Early concept art set him up as one for Solo, but this never followed through.
  • Shout-Out: His transformation sequence resembles that of a Showa-era Kamen Rider.
  • Sneak Attack: Mega Man is called in to take out an enemy operative lurking in the WAXA main computer. This happens. Turns out to be a test to see if Geo could join the Commandos.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With Tia, who would not undergo the High-Heel–Face Turn he wanted for her until after he died.
  • Sweet Tooth: His Trademark Favorite Food is Mega Snacks; little corn puffs (umanbou) whose wrappers bear a mascot in Mega Man's outfit. (
Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker
Not that western gamers would ever see this). He likes them so much he depleted Echo Ridge Elementary's entire stock and keeps them in a box beneath his desk.
  • Taking the Bullet: Absorbs Joker's self-destructive energy to protect the others.
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Most definitely.
  • Theme Naming: In the dub, only. One could easily imagine his nickname "Ace" being a holdover from his days at Dealer.
  • Unexplained Recovery: Ace is recovering in the hospital during the credits, being tended to by Tia and Dr. Goodall. One imagines this is because they recovered him in a manner similar to Luna.

Acid (Ace)

Ace's personal Battle Wizard. A powerful Wizard outfitted with analytical capabilities. He is also the only man-made Wizard with the ability to EM Wave Change, specifically with Ace to form Acid Ace. Unfortunately, Wave Changing takes a severe toll on Ace's body, thus Acid is built with an automatic timer to cancel the Wave Change when he hits his limit.

  • Assist Character: Briefly joins Geo and Omega to look for Luna's fragments.
  • Ace Custom: With few exceptions, every Wizard on the planet is man-made. Acid is the only one that can engage in Wave Change.
  • Always Accurate Attack: Acid Ace's Mega Chip will always hone in on the first available opponent.
  • Animal Motifs: Acid is designed with canine features in mind. This was more explicit
Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker
in earlier drafts, where he actually had hind legs.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: The Wing Blade Giga chip has two secret commands that allow Acid Ace's summoned form to do an extra sucker-punch attack, either a strike with his sword that both breaks shields and pierces invisibility, or vulcan-fire with his raygun, which also pierces invisibility.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Acid Ace's onboard of computer analyzes an opponent and produces strategies to counter them. Queen Virgo learns this the hard way.
  • Ax-Crazy: When Joker overloads him with Noise.
  • Bash Brothers: With Geo. Also, Acid Ace R and Dread Joker R, Sirius' servants.
  • Bullfight Boss: Acid Ace's Wing Blade basically converts his armor into a jet.
  • Cain and Abel: With Joker.
  • Cards of Power: Uses Battle Cards.
  • Chainsaw Good: Uses the Buzz Saw Battle Card in battle.
  • Chest Blaster: When using the Stealth Laser Battle Card.
  • Elemental Powers: Acid Ace can use Battle Cards through his Impossibly Cool Weapon.
    • Playing with Fire: Either Mechanical Flame or Dance Flame (both are flamethrower attacks), but since the Dance Flame Cards are considered Illegal data, it's probably the Mechanical Flame series.
    • Making a Splash: The Wide Wave series.
    • Shock and Awe: The Stealth Laser series.
    • Green Thumb: He summons a twister, which suggests the Squall series, even though those cards are also illegal.
  • Expy:
    • As Ace's personal assistant and a crime fighter, he shares many of Ace's inherited tropes, especially as Acid Ace.
    • As a professional crime fighter Acid Ace, he contrasts with local hero Mega Man, resembling the relationship Chaud and ProtoMan.EXE had with Lan and MegaMan.EXE, though Acid's antagonism of Omega-Xis is more joking than serious.
  • Foil: Acid is a calm and professional Blue Oni foil to Red Oni characters Omega-Xis, Ace, and Joker.
  • Heroic RRoD: Acid is the one man-made Wizard capable of Wave Change with a human being. Unfortunately, Acid Ace drains Eos of a lot of energy and so Acid has a built-in timer that undoes the Wave Change when Eos hits his limit. Naturally, when Joker shows up, this gets put to the test.
  • Impossibly Cool Weapon: Acid Ace uses a Ray Gun that doubles as a Laser Blade, and can also use Battle Cards. He can also use his own body as a miniature jet.
  • The Last Dance: With Ace.
  • Laser Blade: His Ray Gun can function as this.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Acid Ace is incredibly swift, can analyze his opponents and take them down hard and fast.
  • Mecha: Acid, and Acid Ace by extension, certainly seem to use a more mechanical style that invokes this as a motif.
  • Mirror Boss: Like Geo and Omega-Xis, Acid Ace can use Battle Cards and a lock-on sword attack.
  • Non-Elemental: Acid Ace himself, but see Elemental Powers above.
  • Ray Gun: Acid Ace uses one that triples as both a Hunter-VG for Battle Cards, and a Laser Blade for melee strikes.
  • Razor Wings: Acid Ace's Wing Blade attack uses jet verniers.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: When channelling Noise.
  • Red Mage: Acid Ace has an attack for every element and most attributes. He can also use built-in, non-Battle Card attacks.
  • The Rival: Omega-Xis certainly treats him as one.
  • Robot Buddy: As a design motif. Acid is much more competent than the usual standard.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: With Joker.
  • The Spock: Of the third game's Wizard trio, with Mega and Taurus.
  • Super Mode: Acid Ace BB, which may very well be everything Acid Ace B was meant to be without the "seal".
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Joker uses Noise to produce a bizarre reaction in Acid; he was apparently trying to invoke some kind of Super Mode which the Satella Police allegedly "sealed", resulting in Acid Ace turning pitch-black and becoming The Berserker. It may be that this is because of a removed program, namely, the program that Ace gave to Geo so Mega Man could control Noise...while we're on the subject, this may also be why the Acid Ace form cannot be sustained in the first place.
  • Walking Armory: Acid Ace uses a smattering of Battle Cards, mainly to take advantage of Rock–Paper–Scissors, though not nearly to the same extent as Mega Man.

Woodrow "Woody" Boffin (Manabu Kino)

Wizard: Magnes and Coil

A fellow student at Echo Ridge Elementary and head of the science club whose dream is to launch a rocket into space. Geo and the gang help make that dream a reality. He later returns the favor and helps Geo get to Meteor G with another rocket.

  • Big Brother Mentor: He's clearly the most mature member of the science club both physically and emotionally, and he makes a big deal about teamwork to his clubmates.
  • Birds of a Feather: Woody and Geo share a love of astrophysics and rocketry.
  • Child Prodigy: The kid led the science club to build a fully functioning rocket. He's a sixth grader!
  • The Engineer: Builds rockets.
  • Heroic Bystander: Right up until WAXA calls him in because they'd like to use his rocket.
  • Science Hero: In the final chapter of the third game.
  • Taking the Bullet: He throws his body between the rocket and the infected sprinkler system.

Magnes (Magnets) and Coil

Noised Wizard: Spade Magnes (Spade Magnets)

Woody's two Rocket Specialist Wizards. Magnes was set to pilot Woody's experimental rocket into space, but Tia and Jack slip a Noise Card on him, causing him to become the Noised Wizard Spade Magnes. He attempted to destroy the school by causing the rocket to explode, but Geo manages to bring him to his senses. He later becomes an integral part of the plan to help Geo get to Meteor G.

  • Ax-Crazy: Magnes under the influence of the Spade Noise Card struggles to produce even mildly coherent statements. Averted with Spade Magnes R, who is an independent entity created by Sirius.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: His swords are affixed to his hands like a Noised Wizard.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: We catch up with Magnes again when Geo and Mega use his rocket to leapfrog to Meteor G from Earth.
  • Cool Sword: Spade Magnes uses a pair of swords that appear to be the opposite magnetic polarities.
    • Dual Wielding: Wields two swords.
  • Fantastic Racism: Spade Magnes R decides to kill Geo for being a waveform from a backwater planet.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Can fire missiles that induce the Gravity effect.
  • Meaningful Name: Based directly in their powers.
  • Satellite Character: Coil exists to navigate Mega Man through the messed up rocket and to admire his brother.
  • Selective Magnetism: Magnes and Coil specialize in magnetism. This is exaggerated when Magnes is transformed into Spade Magnes.
    • Selective Gravity: Spade Magnes' black rocket will catch its victim in a Gravity trap, which roots them to their spot for a few moments.
  • Shock and Awe: Both of the brothers have magnetic powers, but Magnes' become more pronounced with the Noise Card.
  • Theme Naming: Spade, for the card suit.
  • This Cannot Be!: Spade Magnes R's reaction to his defeat.
  • Transforming Mecha: Can transform into a rocket.
  • Verbal Tic: "Yup!" -Magnes' chosen form of punctuation. It's also how Mega Man recognizes his mutant form as Spade Magnes. Coil's is "Word".

Lee Stern (Mamorou Urakata)

One of the employees at WGB Studios. He is a Real Wave expert in charge of managing Sonia's Event Stage for her concert. His dream is to one day work for the Satella Police. This dream becomes a reality when the Satella Police asks him to repair a Wave Station to help Geo reach Meteor G.

  • Ambiguously Brown: Mamorou is definitely swarthier than the other characters and wears dreadlocks, but no insight into his background has been forthcoming.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Getting to work with the Satella Police is this man's dream. And it comes true when the police ask him to build a Wave Station to help Geo reach Meteor G.
  • Distressed Dude: Gets trapped in a wall of Jamming along with everyone at WGB Studios after they stand in defiance of King.
  • Fantastic Science: He's a Real Wave expert. Becomes a crucial plot point in the finale.
  • Foil: Downplayed. He's a Fantastic Science engineer like Aaron, but is distinctly younger, trimmer, and carries workmanlike tools around, contrasting with his chubbier predecessor.
  • Name's the Same: Downplayed in the Japanese, where his name Mamorou is a hair's-breadth away from duplicating Aaron Boreal's name Mamoru. Likewise, it cannot be an accident that his full name, Mamorou Urakata, is also just a hair away from Battle Network 3's Mamoru Urakawa.
  • Science Hero: In the final chapter of the third game.

Belle (Suzuka)

Wizard: Ice

Belle is an aspiring idol and admirer of sonia who works hard everyday. Her Wizard who also serves as her manager, Ice constantly encourages her to have the drive to succeed, but Belle is such a sweetheart that she isn't willing to follow through the less-than-squeaky-clean methods Ice might suggest.

  • Badass Adorable: A cute and cheerful girl, but she's not afraid to stand up to the bad guys as she and all of WGB Studios broadcast a message to the world telling everyone to stand up to King.
  • Damsel in Distress: Gets trapped in a wall of Meteor G's Jamming when she and all of WGB Studios stand in defiance of King.
  • Fangirl: At one point she asks Geo for Mega Man's autograph.
  • Idol Singer: Almost. She's a television actress, but Ice has been pushing her to reach for greater stardom.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Gets sidelined in the film in favor of Sonia and a last-minute casting of Mega Man. Belle doesn't mind at all. Ice, on the other hand...
  • The Pollyanna: Always kind and cheerful, much to Ice's chagrin.
  • The Rival: Ice insists that she treat Sonia like one, but Belle is actually a fan of her co-actress.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: Don't be fooled by her kindness. Belle is most definitely not a pushover. She utterly chews Ice out for her crazy actions and later helps WGB Studios broadcast a message to the world telling them to stand up to King.

Ice

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Diamond Ice (Dia Iceburn)

Ice is Belle's personal assistant and manager, but while Belle is a breath of fresh air, Ice pushes Belle to succeed by any means necessary and expresses hostility to anything that might threaten Belle's career (like, say, Belle's fellow Teen Idol Sonia), which causes more problems than it needs to.

Naturally, Ice's jealousy and ruthless ambition get a bored Jack's attention, and he slaps her with the diamond Noise Card. As the Noised Wizard Diamond Ice, she decides to take matters into her own hands...and Sonia is having an outdoors concert that day, isn't she?

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Diamond Ice has light blue skin.
  • Ambition Is Evil: Zigzagged. Ice's problem isn't her ambition but the ruthless, amoral extremes she's willing to go to pave the way for her partner.
  • Ax-Crazy: Subverted. After she gets hit with the Diamond Noise Card, everyone expects her to turn into the same trainwreck of a personality that was Spade Magnes. She actually manages to retain a significant portion of her personality, however. She just lost the inhibitions.
  • Blow You Away: Her Signature Move, Diamond Dust, is a freezing icy wind, though it's unknown if it carries the Wind attribute.
  • Cute Bruiser: Diamond Ice is a small girl with a big hammer.
  • Dance Battler: Downplayed; Diamond Ice is a figure-skater who pirouettes when attacking.
  • Drop the Hammer: Diamond Ice's "Break Ice Hammer" is bigger than she is. She'll also bludgeon her enemies with a pair of freefloating ice boulders.
  • Easily Forgiven: Much to her utter shock, everyone, including Sonia, forgives her. Though it helps that, apart from sabotaging equipment and freezing Wizards, the damage wasn't too extreme and no one was actually hurt.
  • Evil Is Deathly Cold: As Diamond Ice.
  • Foil: Ice's pushy hostility contrasts with Belle's gentle kindness.
  • Glacier Waif: Zigzagged. Diamond Ice uses a giant hammer to smash her enemies and uses boulders of ice both to smash and shield herself, but she zips around the field just as much as any other Wizard.
  • Harmless Freezing: When Diamond Ice is still sneaking around and committing only general sabotage, some Wizards end up caught in blocks of ice.
  • Hot-Blooded: Ironically, Ice is far more ambitious and quick to anger than Belle. Gets worse as Diamond Ice.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Downplayed, but Diamond Ice is much smaller than, say, Club Strong or Spade Magnes.
  • An Ice Person: Again, Diamond Ice. One of the straighter examples around, actually.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Ice tries to rationalize her actions by claiming they were necessary to remove obstacles from Belle's career. Belle calls her out by telling her she didn't have to do that nor did she ask her to do that.
  • Knight Templar: As Diamond Ice, she'll do whatever it takes to help Belle.
  • Loss of Inhibitions: As Diamond Ice, rather than go berserk like Spade Magnes, she becomes far more willing to endanger people's lives to make Belle famous. Once she is returned to normal and Belle calls her out on it, Ice finally has a Heel Realization.
  • Meaningful Name: At first, the Punny Name seems to be inverted, since Ice has a habit of getting particularly hot under the collar. After her transformation into Diamond Ice, however, her aggression cools off significantly into malice.
  • Men Are Strong, Women Are Pretty: Spade Magnes and Club Strong are huge, bulky Monstrous Humanoids. Diamond Ice is a figure skater and Ms. Fanservice.
  • More than Mind Control: Diamond Ice could be accurately described as Ice without any moral restraint.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Diamond Ice has a much more womanly figure than Ice's original design. At least one Wizard takes a shine to it.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After a fierce talking-to by Belle, Ice finally realizes that she went too far and offers to turn herself in to the Satella Police. Thankfully, Ace renders this null and void.
  • Playing Card Motifs: Diamond Ice has half a dozen diamonds in her design, even one on her forehead that can't be seen because it's hidden by a diamond-shaped lock of hair.
  • Power Floats: Diamond Ice hovers a few inches above the field, as do her giant boulders of ice.
  • Psycho Supporter: Ice has always been devoted to her human partner Belle, but her perception of anything that didn't advance Belle's career as a threat (e.g. Sonia being more famous) caused more problems than it solved. As Diamond Ice, her new superpowers and lack of inhibition take this From Bad to Worse. She gets better following her Heel Realization.
  • The Resenter: Ice hates and resents Sonia for eclipsing her partner Belle, and as Diamond Ice her sole motivation is to do whatever she can to sabotage Sonia's concert. She gets better.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Most of her attacks are preceded by her doing a pirouette. Her personal Galaxy Advance is created by arranging each card from the IceSpin series in sequence.
  • Theme Naming: Diamond, for the card suit.
  • This Is Your Brain on Evil: Diamond Ice is basically Ice with no moral restraint.
  • The Unfettered: Ice's motto is that you have to do whatever it takes to succeed, a trait that becomes more pronounced as Diamond Ice. Belle calls her out on this mindset using Sonya as an example, telling her that Sonia is so popular because she is kind and strives to make others happy.
  • Vicariously Ambitious: Ice tries very hard not only to get Belle to succeed but to make Belle more like herself. The fact that Diamond Ice manifests as a pretty girl (and, as a figure-skater, a girl in a performing art) implies she may want to be an idol in her own right.
  • Villainous Harlequin: Downplayed. Diamond Ice's figure-skating outfit is in motley.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Inverted. Originally, Ice was always pushing Belle to be more ruthless and ambitious, but she never had any effect on Belle's kindness or gentility.

Strong

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Club Strong

The Wizard that controls the environmental system at Alohaha Castle. He gets mutated by a Noise card and transforms into Club Strong. With his new power, he attempted to take over Alohaha Island, but was stopped by Mega Man. He is the first victim of the Dread Lazer, but is later restored by Aaron Boreal, who tells Geo he was unable to find and re-integrate all of the original data, and that the current incarnation is a Soulless Shell. Later, however, if Geo returns and continues to talk to Strong afterwards, that he is slowly getting better.

  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: No one doubts that the name should be Club Strong.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Getting hit with a Noise Card turned Strong into Club Strong. Like Diamond Ice, he retains a coherent personality, but unlike her, he's been endowed with a radically new personality, setting himself up as King of Alohaha.
  • Came Back Wrong: Joker broke him into such tiny pieces that Aaron has trouble trying to put him back together. However, if one is paying close attention, Strong begins recovering more of his old personality. He's back to normal by the end.
  • Composite Character: Club Strong combines StoneMan.EXE's build and WoodMan.EXE's element and attack.
  • Disney Death: Aaron uses Strong to demonstrate that it is possible to restore someone after they get hit with the Dread Lazer. He also uses Strong to demonstrate that it is eminently possible to Come Back Wrong.
  • Drop the Hammer: Club Strong, fittingly enough, wields a club fashioned from a tree trunk.
  • Elemental Powers: As the administrator of Alohaha's environmental system, he's actually capable of controlling nature itself, but as Club Strong, we see the following powers:
    • Green Thumb: His elemental allignment is Wood.
    • Blow You Away: This primarily shows up in his summoned tornados.
    • Dishing Out Dirt: A little, mostly manifest through him clubbing everything he can reach. He also causes earthquakes with the environmental system.
  • Empty Shell: At first, after his revival. He gets better over time, though.
  • Expy: Of StoneMan.EXE.
  • Gentle Giant: Even as a normal Wizard, Strong's huge. He's also charged with keeping the peace. He stops being so gentle when he gets hit with the Club Noise Card.
  • Golem: Club Strong is a hulking humanoid comprised of mossy blocks of stone.
  • Meaningful Name: ...Well, he certainly is Strong.
  • Power Fist: (Normal) Strong wields one. "Rain of Fists!"
  • Technical Pacifist: Strong's job is to keep the peace on Alohaha, which he is quite happy to do, even if it involves knocking a few heads around.
  • Theme Naming: Club, for the Card Suit.

Dr. Goodall (Dr. Yoily)

One of the greatest scientific minds in the world. She acts as Mission Control to Geo and the other Commandos, giving them missions and helping out when needed.

  • Big Good: With the NAXA Chief and Eos.
  • Cool Old Lady: A kind old lady who is one of the greatest scientific minds in the world.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Hinted at, but never explored.
  • Determinator: When she sets up her priorities, very little can steer her away from them, not even Death from Above.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Built and reprogrammed a Noise Canceler to destroy the Omega-Xis clones.
  • Miniature Senior Citizens: There's even some concept art of her having Geo piggyback her around.
  • Mission Control: In the third game.
  • Never Mess with Granny: Or she'll weaponize a transmissions system to vaporize your butt.
  • The Nicknamer: Goodall both plays it straight and inverts it. She calls Omega-Xis and Acid cutesy pet names "Meggers" and "Acidina", but she refers to Ace by his given name of Arthur.
  • The Professor: But of course.
  • Science Hero: You got it.

NAXA Chief

The head of NAXA.

  • Big Good: With Dr. Goodall and Eos in the third game.
  • Da Chief: Of NAXA.
  • Science Hero: A skilled scientist.

Laplace

A strange Murian creature that serves as Solo's Wizard. As Solo can EM Wave Change on his own, Laplace instead transforms into the powerful Laplace Blade.

  • Bilingual Dialogue: Laplace can communicate only through a type of buzzing noise, but Solo can apparently understand him just fine, and even tells him to shut up at one point.
  • Black Swords Are Better: The Laplace Blade.
  • Bond Creatures: He's Solo's Wizard. Geo uses this as proof that Solo isn't against bonds as he'd like to believe.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Although we never figure out exactly what he's saying to Solo, the fact he was once told to shut up suggests he might be this.
  • Empathic Weapon: Enough to be a character in his own right.
  • Expy: His relationship with Solo/Rogue is a reminiscent that of Bass and Treble/Gospel.
  • Meaningful Name: Laplace is named for Pierre-Simon Laplace, or, rather, his hypothetical, nigh omniscient demon (which would fit with Solo's Combat Clairvoyance).
  • Remember the New Guy?: Averted—Laplace is present in the third game with no explanation, though there is some oohing and ahhing over how powerful he is. His name is only ever even mentioned twice in the game itself, neither of which occurs during the main plot.
  • Status Effects: The Laplace Blade's edges can cause enough pain to temporarily paralyze its victim.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: The Spinblade attack, which doubles as a Battle Card.
  • The Unintelligible: Laplace speaks in strange buzzing sounds and only Solo understands him.

Clark

  • All There in the Manual: Clark is the guide Wizard featured on the official website for both the third game and Operate Shooting Star who explained mechanics and concepts to site visitors.
  • Time Travel: He was thrown back into the Battle Network era in the lead up to Operate Shooting Star.

Dealer and Other Antagonists (UNMARKED SPOILERS)

Dealer

A group of cyber criminals led by the malevolent Mr. King. The King Foundation merely serves as a front for his criminal activities. Their goal is to take control of Meteor G and use its power to disrupt EM technology to take over the world.

Shared

  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: As pointed out by Heartless, none of the members were loyal to King. Ace left Dealer to join the Satella Police, Joker joined Dealer to live without rules, Jack and Tia joined to take control of Meteor G for their own goals, and Heartless herself had been working to stop King.
  • Complexity Addiction: Yes.
  • The Gambler: They are styled after this. Their base is modeled after a casino.
  • Killed Off for Real: Joker, Corvus, Virgo, and King are all dead by the end of the game.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Oh yes. The moment Joker murders Luna is the moment Dealer shows they aren't to be messed with. They are also the closest thing the Star Force universe has to cyber-terrorists.
  • Leitmotif: Here.
Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker
  • Playing Card Motifs: The members are named after the face cards, while the victims of their Noise Cards are christened with one of the suits. (Heartless is the exception.) The decor of their base resembling a casino further reinforces the theme.

Jack

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Partner: Corvus

EM Human: Jack Corvus

A young man who recently joined Echo Ridge Elementary as a transfer student alongside his sister, Tia, who herself is a new teacher. Cold and distant to all but his sister, he is at first adverse to the idea of being friends with Geo and the others, but started to warm up to them during the trip to Alohaha. Then it's revealed that both he and Tia are members of the organization Dealer and he can EM Wave Change with an FM-ian criminal called Corvus.

  • '90s Anti-Hero: Is this one regards to his edgy design with dark color scheme and shooting fire in place of guns with the dark colored Badass Longcoat. Though not an Anti-Hero, he fits the bills due to his blood lusted personality to prolong fighting and violent personality willing to destroy anything in his path to achieve his goals.
  • Aerith and Bob: One of the few kids to have an outright English name in the original Japanese.
  • Anime Hair: Dark and spiky enough to necessitate a good few pounds of hair gel.
  • Anti-Villain: A messed up one, but one nonetheless.
  • Ax-Crazy: Do not poke the little boy. Or look at him the wrong way. Or speak to him. In fact, it's probably better if you don't do anything.
  • The Berserker: Jack and Corvus's motto is "shoot first and to hell with the questions."
  • Blood Knight: he seeks violence when it comes to combat not hestitating to destroy anything in his way.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: At first. He starts to warm up to the gang during the beach episode. He gets better at the end.
  • Break the Cutie: He and Tia watched their kingdom be ravaged by war, causing them to lose faith in technology and humanity in general.
  • The Brute: For Dealer.
  • Character Focus: He and Tia gets a lot unlike the majority of the villains as both members of Dealer and a student at the same time.
  • Char Clone: Wears a shade that functions as a mask and is a rival to a blue clad protagonist with intentions to go extreme lengths upon Earth and humanity? Jack is no doubt another Char Clone of this series but is the closest one to 0079 and CCA.
  • Child Soldiers: Was ruthlessly trained since birth to become one of Mr. King's elite henchman after witnessing his country and family wiped out. Thanks to the talent and skill he was trained with allowed him to defeat Mega Man in his first fight following Wolf Woods who had a hard time handling him at Echo Ridge Elementary's rooftop.
  • Colony Drop: His and Tia's plan is to make Meteor G crash into the earth, wiping out all EM technology.
  • Cool Shades: The little orange things in his hair are actually a pair of shades that he never wears properly. The only way to see this is in concept art.
  • Cutscene Power to the Max: Jack Corvus is lauded as vastly more powerful than Mega Man at first, which underwhelms the players who found his fight easy.
    • Heads I Win, Tails You Lose: No matter how well you do in the actual fight, which will cut out if you knock him down to about 700 HP, Mega Man will always end up dog-tired with Jack Corvus taunting him.
  • Dark Is Evil: At first. He gets better at the end.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: Double Subversion. He doesn't become a true ally of Geo's until his second defeat.
  • Doomed Hometown: His entire country was ravaged by war.
  • Deuteragonist: Is this one after Ace's death and Mr King's usurpation. Though he does swap with Ace throughout the whole story lessening the main character's focus.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Greatly cares for his sister, Tia, being the only family he has left. He goes ballistic when King refuses to rescue her after she gets arrested.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He and Tia are stunned by Joker's brutal murder of Luna. Jack even calls Joker crazy for such a disproportionate act.
  • Evil Duo: With Tia. Corvus was one with Virgo back on FM.
  • Evil Plan: He and Tia plan to wipe out Earth technology by hijacking Meteor G and going ahead with the Colony Drop.
  • Expy:
    • Of Prometheus from Mega Man ZX.
    • He is one to Classic Bass. As Jack Corvus he looks very much like Bass with Treble Boost, only with his normal colors, with elements of Bass.EXE, and has eye markings, like both incarnations of Bass . He also faked friendship with Geo, like Bass did with Mega Man, in Mega Man 7. Not to memtion, he's similary disrespectful to Mr. King, as Bass is towards Wily.
    • One to Dark Scythe and KillerMan.EXE from Mega Man Battle Network enrolling in the same school under the same age group as the protagonist with the stoic personality and violent aspect hidden inside when battling but fused with the digital avatar this time due to the grim reaper motif and a criminal prodigy status.
  • Femme Fatalons: Has claws as Jack Corvus.
  • Flaming Hair: It's black!
  • Flying Firepower: Can fly and toss purple flames.
  • Foil: To Tia. Tia uses water powers as opposed to Jack's fire, and Jack is more short-tempered and emotional than the stoic and icy Tia.
  • For the Evulz: Corvus has no rhyme or reason for his actions other than his own sadistic kicks.
  • Freudian Excuse: His country was ravaged by war because they had better EM technology than other country, and the latter wanted it for himself. This left them orphans and without a place to live...and then Mr. King used them as Child Soldiers.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Eventually talks Tia out of their revenge scheme, stating that all they would be doing was inflicting their pain on others.
  • Heel Realization: Implied to have had one when Geo defeated him for the second time. After Geo defeats Tia he calms down his sister and convinces her to stop their plans, as they would only cause senseless destruction that would create children like them, not helping anyone at all. This results in pissing off both Corvus and Virgo, so much that they try to kill them in retaliation for choosing to bolt out of remaking the world and ruling over it. Thankfully, Rogue was nearby.

Jack: "Sis...I think we should stop...I think Geo's right...We've been wrong all along...What we've been planning will not remake the world...Our plan would just make a whole lot of children like us. That's destruction, not construction. The suffering caused by the development of technology should end with us. We were caught in the middle of other people's hate, and lost so much for it...Ace and Geo have risked their lives over and over to get us to understand..."

  • Hidden Depths: Despite all his claims it's all but stated that he did genuinely enjoy Geo and the others' company. Tia even points out when she's going in a mission alone (usually, they go together) that being close to them has mellowed him, as he shuts up immediately when she orders him to do so.
  • Jerkass: He mellows out eventually.
  • Knight Templar: Truly believed their plan would make the world a better place.
  • Morality Chain: As Ace notes, Tia is the only one who can calm Jack down, and Jack grows increasingly unstable without Tia around.
  • New Transfer Student: While Tia masquerades as a student teacher, he gets this role.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: He and Tia plan to hijack Meteor G and crash it into the Earth.
  • Personality Powers: A volatile hothead with fire powers.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: The shortest member of Dealer and one of the strongest.
  • Playing with Fire: The game mechanics make a point of distinguishing normal, powerful flames (Taurus') from Jack Corvus' Hellfire, which is weaker at first blush, but never burns out.
  • Razor Wings: Can use his wings as melee weapons.
    • Sinister Scythe: His wings can shape themselves like these.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Tia's blue. He's brash, impulsive and impatient.
  • Redemption Earns Life: He and Tia realize the error of their ways inside Meteor G and decide to stop following through with letting Meteor G hit the Earth. They end up being the only prominent members of Dealer alive by the end of the game.
  • The Rival: Serves as Mega Man's secondary rival.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: After Tia gets arrested, Jack steals King's Noise Creation Program and attempts to destroy the school to draw Mega Man out.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: He's the former prince of a country and a member of a criminal organization.
  • Shaping Your Attacks: His Grave Claw attack, which turns his fireballs into claws.
  • Shirtless Scene: During the Beach Episode.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Jack is far more emotional than his sister.
  • The Starscream: Turns on King and hijacks Meteor G with Tia.
  • The Stoic: At first.
    • Not So Stoic: He drops it after the boredom gets to him.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Not as strongly as his sister, but he's particularly cold to the members of his class when he first arrives, and much more open with Tia.
  • Tag Team: With Tia. During battle, he can summon Queen Virgo to attack.
  • Technicolor Fire: As Jack Corvus, mostly it's purple and white.
  • Touched by Vorlons: Can Wave Change with Corvus.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: After he and Tia pull a Heel–Face Turn, Corvus and Virgo decide to kill them and take control of Meteor G for themselves (they only helped them up to that point because they found their plans fun). They are both killed by Rogue.
  • Vague Age: He can pass for a transfer student in Geo's class, but it's never explained how old he is.
  • War Is Hell: His entire country was destroyed in a war over their advanced EM Technology.
  • Winged Humanoid: Jack Corvus.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: A young boy who lost everything he had in a war, causing him to lose faith in technology and humanity. Then forced to join a criminal organization.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: King abandons him after his fight with Mega Man.

Queen Tia (Queentia)

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Partner: Virgo

EM Human: Queen Virgo

A young woman who came to Echo Ridge Elementary with her brother Jack to serve as a new teacher. In contrast to her brother's fiery temper, Tia is calm, cold, and aloof even in the most dire of situations. During the trip to Alohaha, it is revealed that she and Jack are members of the organization Dealer, and she can EM Wave Change with an FM-ian criminal named Virgo.

  • Abusive Parents: Mr. King. Enough said.
  • Aerith and Bob: Especially in the original, with the one word "Queentia".
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Ace thought so.
  • Anime Hair: As Queen Virgo.
  • Anti-Villain: Like her brother, her motives are sympathetic, but her actions are wrong.
  • Badass Teacher: Not both things together, though.
  • Barrier Warrior: As Queen Virgo, she can conjure a wall of water to defend herself. Hitting the barrier will cause her to counterattack with a wave of water.
  • Break the Cutie: She lost her entire country in a war over its EM technology, causing her to lose faith in technology and humanity in general. Then, while working for Dealer, her love interest Ace, left Dealer and was unable to take Jack and Tia with them. Tia interpreted this as a betrayal, souring her even more.
  • Child Soldiers: Same as Jack after losing everything precious to them leading them into joining the Dealers to become powerful enough to enact their plan which is why they were skilled enough to overcome Mega Man in their first fight.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Queen Virgo R threatens to do this to Geo, having retained the original Virgo's sadism. Mega accuses Virgo of having Corvus beat in the cruelty department, hands down.
    • Combat Sadomasochist: Has shades of this.
  • Colony Drop: Hers and Jack's plan is to make Meteor G crash into the earth, wiping out all EM technology.
  • Combat Stilettos: According to concept art, Queen Virgo has these beneath her gown.
  • Dark Action Girl: Definitely capable of handling herself in a fight.
  • The Dark Chick: With an element of Evil Genius, though really it's because she has the self-control to follow King's instructions.
  • Dark Magical Girl: Queen Tia's of the grown-up variety.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: Played with. She doesn't become a true ally of Geo's even after her second defeat. Jack's the one who talks her down and convinces her to stop. Afterwards she becomes one, as she helps in trying to find a way to bring Geo home.
  • Defiant to the End: After her second defeat, she resolves to keep fighting, but Jack talks her down.
  • Doomed Hometown: Her entire country was ravaged by war.
  • Dragons Up the Yin Yang: One of her attacks summons a water dragon.
  • Emotionless Girl: To all except Jack and Ace.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite her cold nature, she genuinely cares for Jack, the only family she has left.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She and Jack are stunned by Joker's brutal murder of Luna, finding it completely unnecessary.
  • Evil Plan: She and Jack plan to wipe out Earth technology by hijacking Meteor G and going ahead with the Colony Drop.
  • Expy:
    • Of Pandora from Mega Man ZX.
    • She's also noted to be similar to Shuko Kido. The two are older than the protagonist, have unpleasant past lives, have little brothers , work as a teacher, and have water element. Although Tia is more like a Evil Counterpart of Shuko.
    • She's also quite similar to the MegaMan NT Warrior version of Ms. Yuri, as both masquerade as teachers, are members of a crime syndicate that spreads The Corruption, are adopted daughters of major villians (Lord Wily/Mr. King), and do a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Evil Duo: With Jack. Virgo was part of one with Corvus back on FM.
  • Evil Is Deathly Cold: This trope applies indirectly (and is not merely a pun on the lady's personality); Virgo Noise is associated with the Ice sub-division of the "Aqua" element.
  • Foil: To Jack, as you may have guessed.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her country was ravaged by war, causing her to lose faith in humanity.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: As Queen Virgo. Technically she's a princess, but the principle's the same. Averted with her Heel–Face Turn.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Averted. Ace originally ditched Dealer to try and secure a better life for him, Tia, and Jack]], but she turns him down, believing that he abandoned her. Played straight after the Meteor G incident.
  • Hot Teacher: She masquerades as a student teacher for a while, though she declines to don swimwear during the class' field trip to Alohaha, unlike her little brother.
  • Ice Queen: To everyone sans Jack.
  • Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: That Queen Virgo's ballgown dress itself is a weapon certainly helps.
  • King Incognito: She's a princess posing as a student teacher.
  • Knight Templar: Genuinely believed their plan would make the world better.
  • Lady of Black Magic: While Queen Virgo she dons a ballgown dress, maintains her graceful air, and unleashes powerful energy blasts and water attacks.
  • Lady of War: As Queen Virgo she remains calm and composed, wears an elegant ballgown dress, and uses a staff to fight with graceful water attacks.
  • Light Is Not Good: Has a "light" based attack called "Holy Light". This is more to play off of Jack's "dark" motif.
  • Making a Splash: Can manipulate water. In contrast to Jack's fire powers.
  • Morality Chain: Jack grows increasingly unstable without her around.
  • Not so Above It All: Despite her attempts at coming across as aloof and detached from the faculty and students of Echo Ridge Elementary, even she can't resist her curiosity about the forbidden technique of "Boxers Off".
  • Omnicidal Maniac: She and Jack plan to hijack Meteor G and crash it into the earth.
  • Pimped-Out Dress: It's a weapon, to boot. And according to concept art, it's detachable.
  • Princess in Rags: She's the former princess of her country, and a member of a criminal organization.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Has natural red pupils. Eventually subverted with her Heel–Face Turn.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Jack's red. She is calm, collected and cold in her schemes.
  • Really Royalty Reveal: A former princess of her country with the ability to Wave Change.
  • Redemption Earns Life: She and Jack realize the error of their ways inside Meteor G and decide to stop following through with letting Meteor G hit the Earth. They end up being the only prominent members of Dealer alive by the end of the game.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: With Jack.
  • Spell My Name with an S: In the original Japanese, her name is Queentia. One word.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With Eos.
  • The Starscream: She and Jack turn on King and take control of Meteor G.
  • The Stoic: Always cold and aloof.
    • Not So Stoic: During her conversation with Ace.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Cold to everyone else. Warm and open to Jack.
  • Tag Team: With Jack. Queen Virgo can summon Jack Corvus to the field to take a shot at you.
  • Touched by Vorlons: Can Wave Change with Virgo.
  • Tritagonist: Is this one throughout the whole story even after Ace's death.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: When she and Jack pull their Heel–Face Turn in the end, Virgo and Corvus attempt to kill them and take Meteor G for themselves. They are both killed by Rogue.
  • Vague Age: She passes for a student teacher at Echo Ridge Elementary, but in her backstory she's only a few years older than Jack, who currently passes for one of Geo's peers.
  • War Is Hell: YES. To be precise, Jack and Tia lost all of their loved ones and their homeland in a war over technology, thus losing all faith in technological advancement and humanity in general.
  • Water Is Womanly: She's cold and aloof, and as the partner of Virgo she has water powers to contrast with her brother Jack's fire powers. She can become Queen Virgo, wielding water attacks in an armored dress.
  • When She Smiles: In the credits, at Ace's bedside.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: The loss of her country and her boyfriend being forced to abandon Dealer pretty much left her quite bitter.
  • You Have Failed Me: King leaves her to rot in prison when she gets captured.

Heartless

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

The fourth and final member of Dealer, named after the last suit of playing cards after Spade, Diamond, and Club. King's personal assistant, with all the stylings of a secretary. She handles most of his personal affairs and has even been known to distribute his orders to the membership of Dealer. King trusts her the most of all his subordinates, and has even been known to banter playfully with her. The sap, as the woman who goes by "Heartless" actually works for WAXA and is actively working to bring her old friend Kelvin Stelar back to Earth (who is inside Meteor G, doing his best to stall its advance).

  • Beauty Is Bad: King thinks so. However, as she wasn't truly evil to begin with, she subverts this.
  • Bodyguard Betrayal: Eventually turns on King.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Though first seen as one of the higher ups of Dealers, she unexpectedly pushed Mr. King out of the way at the story's final portion.
  • Double Agent: She actually works for WAXA.
    • The Mole: Eventually turns on King and it's revealed soon afterwards in the final chapter that she was never evil to begin with and that she's been spying on Dealer the whole time.
  • The Dragon: Mr. King's personal assistant; she's Co-Dragons with Joker.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: She worked for Dealer just to help bring Kelvin back to Earth.
  • Enigmatic Minion: Quiet and mysterious, always staying in the background.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Walks hand-in-hand with her Wham Line. Bonus points for occurring at the beginning of the final chapter. King has just disabled Jack's and Queen Tia's Wave Change, bringing a screeching halt to their plans of revenge. He demands Heartless dispose of them, only for her to turn her back on him then and there, spend a moment detailing precisely how utterly wrong he's been, and then she dumps him through a portal into the heart of Meteor G.
  • Good All Along: She was never evil to begin with. She was a mole sent by WAZA to infiltrate Dealer and help take them down.
  • Guile Hero: She seems cold and an Emotionless Girl at first, but is quite cunning and patient. King learned this the hard way.
  • Hartman Hips: Quite shapely. Lee Stern certainly thinks so.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Lee Stern thinks she's gorgeous.
  • I Have Many Names: And it's Hope who reveals it!
  • Kick the Son of a Bitch: In the moment Mr. King least expected, the woman that he had at his side at all times prevents him from killing Tia and Jack, reveals that nobody in Dealer was ever loyal to him to begin with and drops him into a teleporter that leads into the heart of Meteor G to destroy him, while he rants and screams in disbelief at her betrayal. Shame that he survived...
  • Mysterious Woman: Until the final chapter, when she is revealed to be a WAZA mole.
  • Meaningful Name: One, she's named for the last remaining card suit. Secondly, the name suggests she's distinguished by certain characteristics she lacks. How fitting that King gave her the name, as she teleports him into the insides of Meteor G without remorse. Played with in the reveal that she is a friend of Kevin's and an acquaintance of Hope and she does show genuine concern over Tia and Jack's pain, thinking that their plans of retribution against the world are disproportionate and she all but states that she believes they can be reasoned with.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives one to King as she banishes him to a Noise Wave.

"Muwahaha...I was the only one that you thought would never turn on you, wasn't I? Mr. King...Joker was the last of your loyal subordinates. Actually, he was only your Wizard so he could fulfill his own Purpose...You have been surrounded by traitors from the very beginning. There was Jack, Queen Tia, and of course, myself..." *King starts to react when she's turned away* "Don't bother." *Portal opens* "Goodbye, Mr. King...You will pay for your sins in the bowels of your own Noise." *King disappears, portal closes*

  • Secretary of Evil: She's King's personal assistant.
  • The Stoic: Retains a carefully guarded expression at all times. Doesn't even bother with being emotional when she dispatches King.
  • Theme Naming: Part of the same Dealer spiel.
  • The Unfought: Justified as she has no powers and is not evil.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: Heartless adapts her plans nigh flawlessly when Queen Virgo and Jack Corvus show up ahead of schedule.

Joker

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Trans-Code: 000

Combat Mode: Dread Joker (Grave Joker)

Joker is the newest member of Dealer and Mr. King's chief field agent, supplanting even veterans like Jack and Tia. His high rank causes no small suspicion in Jack and Tia, especially considering he joined right before the events of the game. He's actually King's Wizard, and has insane combat abilities.

  • Ax-Crazy: He seems calm and aloof at first glance, but is eventually revealed to be a ruthless and murderous individual.
  • Bald of Evil: Sorta, he has a few dark stripes along his head that may or may not be hair.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: His Gigaton Swing attack. Can also use the Million Kicks Battle Card.
  • Bash Brothers: Acid Ace R and Dread Joker R, Sirius' servants.
  • Big Bad: For the first half of 3 that is, though Mr. King is the overarching antagonist as the Greater-Scope Villain.
  • Blood Knight: Greatly relishes the thrill of combat.
  • Break the Haughty: After expressing his desire to live without limitations, he gets defeated by Mega Man, who he previously viewed as worthless, then King orders him to self-destruct.
  • Cain and Abel: To Acid.
  • Cool Shades: Wears green sunglasses. They turn blue when he becomes Dread Joker.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist:
    • Where LaserMan is an obedient servant whose emotions are void, Joker is a Blood Knight who seeks existence to live upon battles and deaths of his victims who first started off as WAXA's creation before heading off to Mr. King. LaserMan functions as the obstacle for MegaMan to reach Duo, Joker is the forefront that was taken out in the final half of the story.
    • When Colonel was split from Iris, he has no emotions and dutifully carried out his orders until he had some sense knocked into him, while Joker was ruthless to begin with seeking a reason to live by constantly battling his sibling Acid Ace.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: His role as the secondary antagonist comes to a close with his suicidal attack on Mr. King.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Luna's first encounter with him goes sour very, very quickly when he realizes she only showed up to ask Mega Man for advice. For the crime of deferring to somebody else's judgment, he vaporizes her on the spot.
  • Dub Name Change: From Grave Joker to Dread Joker, which severed the implicit connection to Meteor G.
  • The Dragon: King's chief field agent, and no small consternation to Jack and Tia as their overseer. He's Co-Dragons with Heartless, who is King's personal assistant.
  • Enigmatic Minion: Given that he's one of Dealer's most recent members, Jack and Tia are quite suspicious of his motives.
  • Establishing Character Moment: His first field assignment has him murdering Strong and Luna (they get better.), showing him to be powerful and very ruthless.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: He joined Dealer because he thought it would give him a new reason to live and allow him to indulge his battle-lust. Mega mocks his motives, saying he could easily find a purpose to live on his own. By the time he finally gets it, he's about to self-destruct.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Ace and Acid. He's a Wizard who once worked for NAXA.
  • Evil Is Bigger: One of the tallest characters in the game.
  • Evil Is Hammy: When he really gets going.
  • Expy: Of several characters.
    • In his finalized form, Dread Joker, he's one to LaserMan.EXE. They also both share the position of The Dragon to their boss' Big Bad, and are completely loyal to them.
    • He also resembles Sigma; both are calm on the outside, but later get much more violent, both pulled a Face–Heel Turn, defecting from their original organizations (the Maverick Hunters/NAXA), and both were admired before that, they (possibly) share a Bald of Evil, both are of an almost inhuman height, and both want to bring out the full potential of the heroes (Sigma of X and Zero, Joker of Acid and MegaMan). Joker has a connection and bond with Acid, that is similar to that which Sigma and Zero shared.
    • His role is reminiscent to that of Baryl and Colonel.EXE; both are ruthless and cunning as they order their subordinates around. However he is considered to be the polar opposite since Colonel has emotions whereas Joker is cold blooded. They are Climax Bosses later in the series and share the relationship with their twins (Iris and Acid Ace). One can say that Joker is the dark personification of Baryl and what he would become if Baryl were to not have a single act of kindness following their leader.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Implied in the game, but, don't worry, it's All There in the Manual. (This particular manual being released
Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker
only in Japan). He used to work for WAZA.
  • Flash Step: He loves using these, which are always sudden and are followed by devastating attacks.
  • The Giant: He's easily twice as tall as Geo.
  • Ground Punch: When using his Gigaton Building attack.
  • Hand Blast: Dread Lazer. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every muggle
Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker
woman in the room, accept no substitutes.
  • Hero Killer: Joker's first field assignment leaves nobody in any doubt about this. Strong and Luna learn this the hard way.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Maybe it's unclear. Assuming that Geo is talking to actual people in his dreams (the spirits of Ace and Joker). Joker may be serving as a Spirit Advisor to Geo.
  • Hidden Depths: He has surprisingly complex motivations. He wants to live his life with no limitations and find a purpose to live.
  • Hot-Blooded: When he starts fighting.
  • I Just Want to Be Free: Joker felt oppressed by a Wizard's built-in subservience, which is why he turned to King, who offered him the opportunity to indulge his battle lust. Of course, King's a backstabbing jerkass, as Joker soon found out after losing.
  • The Juggernaut: The guy's near unstoppable. Strong was easily killed, Ace couldn't stop him, Geo could barely defeat him. It's saying something that it takes King ordering him to self-destruct for him to finally die for good.
  • Kick the Dog: Killing Strong and Luna in front of Mega Man. He even has the temerity to mock their deaths and calls them weak.
  • Kill the Cutie: Sucks to be Luna.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Any time Joker shows up is a true cause for alarm.
  • Laughing Mad: When King activates his self-destruct mechanism.
  • Meaningful Name: In the original Japanese. Joker's "Grave" title served to link him to Meteor G.
  • Motive Rant: During Dread Joker's premiere.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Dread Joker. Grave Joker, too].
  • Scary Black Man: This is not someone you wanna meet in a dark alley.
  • Shoulders of Doom: As Dread Joker. Think LaserMan.EXE, but DJ's shoulder armor is vertical.
  • Smug Super: Pretty much, but it's revaled his motivations, and problems are a lot deeper than most examples
  • The Social Darwinist: Being a Blood Knight, he obviously lives by this mindset. Naturally, he views himself as high up in the food chain.
  • Spirit Advisor: If Geo's dreams are actual conversations with people, than Joker may have been trying to get some revenge on King by attempting to shame Geo out of his depression. Kelvin makes the same points better, though.
  • The Stoic: Joker seems to be one at first, but subverted when he takes an interest in any given activity.
  • Superpower Lottery: The ability to manipulate Noise puts him a step above just about all conceivable opposition.
  • Theme Naming: Along with the rest of Dealer.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After his defeat. It accelerates after King activates his self-destruct, though it's implied he begins to see the light through Ace's heroism.
  • Walking Armory: Joker can apparently use certain Giga Cards, or attacks based on them.
    • Macross Missile Massacre: His Destroy Missile attack.
    • Throw Down the Bomblet: His Break Time Bomb attack.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: Dread Lazer when properly used by Dread Joker.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Poor Luna...

Mr. King

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Wizard: Joker

"And once I have that shooting star in my hands, every worthless human will kneel down before Dealer. Yes...Humans are indeed weak, brittle, and foolish creatures. Which is why they are always in such a rush to get new "Brothers" and create new "Purposes" with them. Humans need me to rule over them...I will give this planet new life...I will show them the true reason to live...All foolish humans will be under Dealer's control once I have Meteor G in my hands..."

To the world at large, Mr. King is an extremely magnanimous philanthropist whose institution, the King Foundation, funds charity organizations the world over; the Foundation is behind everything from orphanages to entire shopping malls themed around the entertainment of children. To the characters we know and love, however, King is a malevolent figure whose machinations for world dominion have caused no end of trouble. He is the mastermind behind Wizards going rogue, which release Crimson once defeated, which is harvested with the intention of gaining control of Meteor G, which will allow him to take control of the world. His philanthropy is nothing more than a guise to the public; in truth he's a total megalomaniac that couldn't care less about anyone but himself.

  • Abusive Parents: Is quite pleased to style his relationship with Queen Tia, Ace, and Jack as familial. He's still a complete bastard to all of them, treating them like trash.
  • Archnemesis Dad: The inevitable fallout between him and Jack, Tia and Ace.
  • Badass Bookworm: He is a scientist, after all.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: Rocks a stylish business suit to go with the Cool Chair.
  • Bad Boss: That's putting it mildly. He treats his subordinates like disposable trash once he finds them no longer useful. He abandons Jack and Tia to the Satella Police when they fail him, forces Joker to self-destruct to kill Geo and the others, and attempts to kill Heartless after her attempted betrayal.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Succeeds in collecting this much amount of Crimson Energy after Joker and Ace's deaths that allowed him to unleash Dread Lazer upon the world for the time being. Despite being usurped, he survives his ordeal, in time for him to merge with Meteor G.
  • Batman Gambit: His scheme is making Wizards go out of control, forcing Mega Man to defeat them and allowing him to collect the Crimson they drop, which in turn will allow him to take control of Meteor G.
  • Big Bad: Of the third game.
  • Big "NO!": Does this twice. Once, after being sent in a Noise Wave by Heartless and again after the Crimson Dragon's first defeat.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: We mentioned he was an insanely popular public philanthropist, right? But in truth he's a total megalomaniac that has used children as child soldiers.
  • Boomerang Bigot: Views humanity as weak and idiotic (or "simpletons") despite being human himself.
  • Call-Back: Concept art has him leering at the audience from behind a screen of Thunder Zerker Mega Man, which suggests he's been observing our heroes for a good while.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: King belongs to the first sphere and has many of the mannerisms. Just about everything he does onscreen is negative, ranging from being vaguely unpleasant to downright vile. Doesn't diminish his presence as a character one notch.
  • Character Tics: Most of the time he's seen shuffling cards while planning or discussing his orders.
  • The Chessmaster: In keeping with his Games motif: What does he need? Crimson. How does he get it? By infecting every Wizard he can get his hands on. What about the police? They're too busy dealing with the thousands and thousands of out-of-control Wizards to stop him.
  • Classic Villain: Ambition, Pride, Greed and Wrath.
  • Colony Drop: Averted, in comparison with his prototype's and his proteges' plans. He uses Meteor G as a Kill Sat instead.
  • Composite Character: As mentioned below, he has various similarities to previous Mega Man villains like Lord Wily, Dr. Regal, and Dr. Weil. He also has similarities to Lex Luthor.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: To Dr. Wily and his son Regal where they are exceptional scientists who had emotions to begin with that conflicted allowing them to redeem themselves to good from bad, Mr. King is a heartless philanthropist who care nothing about his subordinates and children to further his ambition for world domination.
  • Cool Chair: Part hovercar, part desk, part card table, part computer, part laser turret. It's such a Cool Chair he keeps it on him after he turns himself to an EM Being.
  • Crazy-Prepared: As he himself states, he thinks everything through and always has a trump card up his sleeve.
    • His base is hidden by a barrier that only lets certain EM waves through. The front door in particular has a barrier shaped like a large playing card that is manned by MalWizards and can only be disabled from the Wave World.
    • His Crimson machine is outfitted with powerful defenses to keep intruders from both the Real World and the Wave World out such as laser turrets, a cage, and a device that drains EM energy. Geo would have been killed easily had it not been for Rogue's Big Damn Heroes.
    • After Joker's defeat, Tia and Jack appear, declaring that they will take over Dealer. King then orders Joker to self-destruct, hoping to kill all of them at once. His plan fails due to Ace's Heroic Sacrifice, but he got more Crimson out of it.
    • When Jack and Tia catch up to him at his Orbital Base and once more attempt to usurp him, he reveals that his base is outfitted with a special type of noise that cancels EM Wave Changes. He would have killed them right then and there had it not been for Heartless turning on them and banishing him into a Noise Wave. But even that doesn't stop him as he uses Joker's power to become and EM being to survive.
  • Devil in Plain Sight: The first time he's mentioned, Geo and the gang are talking about how the King Foundation helps children. From then on, the game makes no attempt to hide his private life from the audience.
  • Dirty Coward: Loves gloating about how great he is and how nobody has a chance to stop him, but he is always fleeing from danger or sending his subordinates to do his work. Arrived at one of his bases? Orders Joker to self-destruct and flees unfought. Fused with the core of Meteor G? Absorbs Kelvin to try to goad Geo into not fighting him.
  • Diabolical Mastermind: With his wealth, power, influence, and him having no shortage of contingency plans, he'd fit right in a James Bond movie.
  • Do Not Adjust Your Set: Hacks into every Hunter-VG and television set to announce his takeover of Earth.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Subverted. He loves to invoke and style his relationship with Ace, Jack, and Tia as familial, but in reality, he couldn't care less about any of them. He orders Joker to kill Jack if he steps out of line, abandons both Jack and Tia to the Satella Police when they fail and gloats about Ace's death.
  • Evil Gloating: Bit of a bad habit, really. He loves rubbing in his opponents' faces how good his plans are and that they can't stop him.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He doesn't have to get going to do this.
  • Evil Laugh: A curious kind of chortle that, at its strongest, makes him have to hold onto his chair for balance.
  • Evil Mentor: A side of him only seen in the
Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker
Noise Modification Gear. He will encourage Mega Man to aspire to take advantage of Noise Cards and create hands at the highest levels he can. He may even muse over offering Mega Man a seat at Dealer's table.
  • Expy: This guy is like a Greatest Hits collection of old Mega Man villains.
    • Mr. King inherits primarily from Dr. Regal, a connection that is explicit in concept art. They have very similar Evil Plans, which each involve using The Corruption (though Noise is more like Bug Frags than Dark Power) and taking control of an impending meteor.
    • King's relationship with Jack and Queen Tia (who are Prometheus and Pandora expies), makes him homologous to Master Albert. His fusion with the Crimson Dragon recalls Albert’s plan to revive Model W as Ouroboros and use it to become Mega Man W.
    • Meanwhile, his role in creation of the Noise technology and the Ace and Joker programs and his hovering vehicle make him similar to Dr. Wily. King's interactions with the rebellious Jack are also pretty similar to that of Wily with Bass.
    • His plan of using Meteor G as a Kill Sat, and when that fails, his plan to use it destroy Earth, are nearly identical to Dr. Weil's plans with Ragnarok. Both villains also fuse with their respective objects to personally fight the hero and ensure the destruction they seek.
    • Mr. King's plans with Meteor G also make him similar to Sigma; both have similar facial markings and each survived his first death by becoming programs.
    • Last but not least, his role as the leader of a crime syndicate with adopted children makes him similar to Lord Wily, who manipulated Sean and planned to merge with Alpha. Wily's Beyonard counterpart had similar plans to fuse with and possess the Super Cyber Beast. Old concept art reveals Mr. King began as an expy of Wily.
    • His wealth, power, influence, and status as a Villain with Good Publicity gives him a few similarities to Lex Luthor.
  • Face Framed in Shadow: Only during the beginning of the third game.
  • The Faceless: Like Vega, his face is hidden in shadow for the first few chapters. It's much less dramatic when he emerges this time, however. He might as well have simply decided to pay his electric bill. (He remains faceless as the Evil Mentor, though)
  • Facial Markings: Has strange blue stylings down the sides of his face. According to the Complete Works, they're actually a metal mask. Oddly enough, in-game if the Humor Wrd ability is equipped to Omega-Xis and the L button pressed, the player may get a call from Mr. King explaining the blue lines on his face. It is not in-depth and most of it is in whispers, but it has something to do with Heartless.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He seems like a polite and civil man at first glance, using his business to help children. In reality, he's anything but kind and has no respect for anyone.
  • Fiction 500: The King Foundation is a global institution that sponsors all sorts of events and institutions and has excellent PR.
  • Final Boss: The very first time in any Battle Network or Star Force game where the main villain IS the final boss, rather than using a monster to fight the protagonist in his stead.
  • The Gambler: Oh, yes. His basic motif is grounded in cards, and Dealer's hideout has all the trappings of a casino. Don't expect him to leave it to luck, though.
  • A God Am I: Sorta. He never calls himself a god, but he clearly makes clear that he regards anybody else that isn't himself an inferior being. He also declares himself to be the only one worthy and fit to rule the world and that everyone should submit to him.
  • He's Back!: A villainous variant. And he announces it by making a personal appearance in the main office of his enemies' stronghold and trying to kill Heartless.
  • Jerkass: Really, this is the nicest thing you can call him.
  • Kick the Dog: This trope is practically his hobby. If something's going wrong for the heroes, King will always find a way to make it worse.
    • Jack's upset about his imprisoned sister? No, there will not be a rescue. Get over it. Jack goes to fight Mega Man on his own and gets defeated? It's his own damn fault! Just leave him!
    • Joker at long last reveals his desire to live without having to be limited by rules? Give the irrevocable command for him to self-destruct. Ace sacrifices himself to save the others? Gloat about it.
    • The people at WGB Studios dare to stand up against him? Use the Dread Laser to trap them in Meteor G's Jamming as a warning to others (the idea was to kill them, but it didn't work out thanks to Kelvin Stellar).
    • Geo finally reunites with his long-lost father in the heart of Meteor G? Merge with Meteor G's core and absorb his father right in front of him and taunt him, saying that he wouldn't hurt his father. Sadly for him, Geo is tired of his bullshit and takes him up front.
  • Killed Off for Real: King is vanquished and ejected from the Crimson Dragon. And then Meteor G is obliterated.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Prior main villains had sympathetic backstories or motivations. note Cepheus was paranoid and distrusting due to numerous attempts on his life, Lady Vega wanted to create a better world after losing her lover in a war. King, however, has no sympathetic motives and clearly relishes in his villainy. He makes no pretense about having some larger power or altruistic purpose behind his actions, he's just an egotistical megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur.
  • Mad Scientist: He's a scientist who seeks to conquer the world.
  • Malevolent Masked Men: According to concept art, his Facial Markings are actually a metal mask.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Uses everyone, even the Satella Police, to forward his plans.
  • The Man Behind the Monsters: He's the one causing Wizards to go insane.
  • Meaningful Name: Both for his Theme Naming as well ad the fact that he sees himself as the only human worthy of ruling the world, as everyone else is a fool.
  • Obviously Evil: After some early lines of dialogue about how Mr. King is a major public philanthropist, the game makes absolutely no attempt to hide his private life from the audience.
  • Ominous Multiple Screens: Courtesy of his cool chair.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: With his plans for world domination completely foiled, he decides to merge with Meteor G's core and destroy the world.
  • One-Winged Angel: He assumes control of Meteor G's core, forming the Crimson Dragon.
  • Revenge: King does not take kindly to anyone who slights him. The first act he takes after revealing he survived Heartless' betrayal is to try to kill her. Unfortunately for him, he gives into his unfortunate habit of giving a small speech, which grants Geo the opportunity to get over his shock and spring into action.
  • Scaled Up: The final boss is the Crimson Dragon, a giant Noise beast that is possessed by King.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Rocks a stylish business suit.
  • Smug Snake: His arrogance causes his plan to come crumbling down most satisfyingly, though unlike most examples, he retains the presence of mind not to have a Villainous Breakdown.
  • The Sociopath: Cruel, remorseless, manipulative, and sadistic. Everything and everyone is little more than a controllable pawn to him.
  • Take Over the World: His ultimate goal, by taking control of Meteor G. By the end of the game it devolves into: "As I'm unable to rule over it I'll destroy it."
  • Theme Naming: The one who came up with it all.
  • Transhuman: Not a case of Touched by Vorlons. Forced himself to become an EM Being that could survive in Meteor G. This in no way bodes well for anyone.
  • Tyke Bomb: You know how the guy funds orphanages? He cultivates Child Soldiers with them. But the two that survived in his suicidal missions (Jack, Tia) aren't loyal to him at all (they DESPISE him ).
  • Villainous Breakdown: In a fit of "If I can't have it, no one can", King decides to merge with Meteor G's core and destroy the world. After the Crimson Dragon's first defeat, King screams in disbelief as he's deleted.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: The masses think he's the best thing since sliced bread. He funds and runs everything from orphanages to shopping centers dedicated to children having a good time. It's only when he announces his takeover of Earth does he lose this status for good, as everyone is disgusted with it.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: King is a master at taking advantage of any unforeseen change to his plan.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He uses the orphanages he funds to cultivate child soldiers for him to send on suicide missions. Jack and Tia are the only ones that survived. He also tries to slaughter both Tia and Jack without any hesitation when they rebel against him.

Crimson Dragon

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

Seen from the outside, roaring from the insides of Meteor G

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

I will lead Earth to its destruction. I am Crimson Dragon!!

The Final Boss of Star Force 3, and the embodiment of Meteor G's core, a meteor made entirely out of Crimson (solidified noise). It is the result of Mr. King and an unwilling Kelvin Stellar fusing with the core of Meteor G, and the last opponent that Geo has to take down in order to save the world.
  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: It takes repeated swipes at Mega with its massive claws.
  • Asteroids Monster: The Crimson Dragon's head blocks its core, so your initial goal is to destroy it to reveal your main target. However, once you get past the first head, it will immediately reform into two heads that take shots at you as well. The core is still accessible, but he's certainly going to make you work for it.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: The dragon is basically built around the core of the meteor. You have to remove the head in the way to get at that core.
  • Audible Sharpness: Its claws.
  • The Berserker: After its first defeat, King is exorcised from its body, so it becomes a mindless monster.
  • Boss Remix: The Crimson Dragon's boss theme uses a remix of the series theme as its refrain.
  • Breath Weapon: The Crimson Dragon's Noise Storm unleashes a massive torrent of Noise. It can use this attack both when it has one head and when it has two. There's also its Meteor of Crimson attack, where its heads breath out crimson flames.
  • The Cameo: It appears in Operate Shooting Star as one of ClockMan's attacks.
  • Clipped-Wing Angel: When confronted as a Post-Final Boss, it has 8,000 HP. It also automatically dies to your Limit Break — and that is your only means of ending the battle, as neither side can hit 0 HP normally during this fight.
  • The Corruption: It's a giant monster made of Crimson.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Its True Final Boss form has the most HP out of any boss in Battle Network or Star Force, clocking in at 6,000 in addition to being a Shielded Core Boss.
  • Draconic Abomination: The Crimson Dragon is a red-and-black draconic Electromagnetic Being formed from King fusing with Meteor G's core, and is powerful enough to threaten the safety of the planet. Even after King is excised from it, it only grows more dangerous and powerful, forcing Mega Man to use his Super Mode to vanquish it for good.
  • Final Boss: Of the third game.
  • Fusion Dance: Of King and the Meteor G's core. Plus an unwilling Kevin Stellar.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere: Despite being openly foreshadowed by promotional art, the Crimson Dragon has only vague Morphic Resonance with the Big Bad and is otherwise a largely gratuitous Kaiju that exists entirely to keep up the series tradition of Final Boss fights.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Glowing blue eyes. The black head has red eyes.
  • Hopeless Boss Fight: Inverted. The final confrontation with the Crimson Dragon will end once and only once Mega Man's finalized form hits it with a Noise Force Big Bang. It is impossible for either participant to die during this fight otherwise.
  • Kaiju: Its head is bigger than Mega Man's body.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Can fire normal missiles and copies of its own heads.
  • Meaningful Name: The Crimson is a shade of red, so the name recalls a certain other Red Dragon. The Crimson Dragon is connected to corruption, darkness, and the end of the world, just like Satan, especially in his dragon incarnation, from the Book of Revelation. Satan if also sometimes associated with falling stars, and the Crimson Dragon is the personification of Meteor G, an asteroid/falling star.
  • Morphic Resonance: The black and gold stylings of the body are meant to evoke Mr. King's hover chair.
  • Multiple Head Case: After attacking the head enough times, it splits into two heads, one red and the other black.
  • No Ontological Inertia: Averted. Mr. King is purged and deleted after Crimson Dragon falls for the first time — but the dragon does not disappear and instead goes on a mindless rampage, and Meteor G is still on a collision course with Earth. Geo has to defeat it a second time to destroy it for good.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Again, a gargantuan dragon made of Noise.
  • Roar Before Beating: It opens the battle this way.
  • Scaled Up: For King, again.
  • Shielded Core Boss: The dragon's body surrounds Meteor G's core, which Mega is trying to destroy. He can only access it by destroying the Crimson Dragon's head, which will promptly split into two more heads that continue to attack.
  • Trailers Always Spoil: Zigzagged. The Crimson Dragon was openly featured in promotional materials, but has no impact on the story besides being the customary Final Boss, so it spoils nothing of import.

Moon Destroyer (Moon Disaster)

"YO YO YO!"

An EM being who hails from the moon that serves as one of the optional bosses of the third game. According to Omega, he was a powerful warrior but recently decided to become a singer. His singing career causes him to take to the NAXA Astro Wave for his Moon Disaster 10-hr. Concert Extravaganza. However, it causes a traffic holdup on the Astro Wave, prompting Mega Man to...convince him to go somewhere else.

  • Affably Evil: With the caveat being that he's not evil at all.
  • Anti-Villain: Again, he's not evil. Geo has to fight him to get through the Astro Wave.
  • Battle Boomerang: His crescents serve as his main weapon.
  • Blood Knight: In the proud tradition of the series' optional bosses, this guy loves to fight.
  • Death from Above: He can hurl meteors at you. He also has an attack where he drop kicks Mega Man from above.
  • Dreadful Musician: He thinks he's fantastic, and where he hails from, he very well may be. Here, we're more interested in his ability to fight.
  • Energy Being: Moon Destroyer is apparently just himself, not a fused human like Mega Man or an ascended one like Rogue.
  • Foil: He was designed as one to Apollo Flame, with his moon motif contrasting the former's sun.
  • Graceful Loser: Takes his defeat well and allows Geo to pass.
  • Lunacy: Really just a motif with this guy. He's styling lots of crescents, but not much in the way of moon-ish powers.
  • Obliviously Evil: He doesn't realize his concert is causing a traffic jam.
  • Razor Wind: In battle, he can launch what appears to be this through the air with a powerful kick.
  • Theme Naming: Every one of his attacks begins with the word "Moon".
  • Verbal Tic: "Yo, man! YO!"

Sirius

Megaman Star Force 3: Black Ace or Red Joker

"Everything here will cease to exist. A black hole has no need for such things as emotions. You should...be happy. You will live forever within the darkness. You will be mine."

A mysterious and very powerful EM Being who serves as the administrator of the Black Hole Server. He is very childish, who sees the entire universe as his plaything. To that end, he uses his Black Hole Server to consume entire planets for his "collection". He also reconstructs fallen EM Beings to be his servants, having them scout out new planets for him to collect. His newest target is Planet FM, putting him in Mega Man's crosshairs when Cepheus sends an Astro Hertz to ask for his help.
