Materials

  • 39 Blue Plastic Cups
  • 1 Red Plastic Cup

 Instructions

1) Set up the stack of cups so that there’s 1 red cup with 39 blue cups stacked on top of it.

2) When the clock starts, player may grab a single cup from the top of the stack and place it on the bottom of the stack.

3) Player must use 1 hand to grab each cup, and must alternate hands with each cup.

4) If more than 1 cup is removed at a time, player must place all cups that are outside of the stack back on top of the stack before continuing.

5) Player must play the game from a standing position.

6) To complete the game, the red cup must be placed on the bottom after traveling through the stack, and the stack must be held in 1 hand at the red cup within the 60-second time limit.

Movin’ On Up is a challenge in Minute To Win It. There are 39 red cups in a stack and a blue one at the bottom. The goal is to move the red cups down using alternating hands until the blue cup gets to its original position.

The Goal of Movin’ On Up Minute to Win It Game can also be included as part of an indoor team building or fun group event program.   Please note that the descriptions for the various games are general descriptions and the facilitator may alter the game on the day to suit the particular group.If you are familiar with Minute To Win It, you may have seen the game Movin’ On Up. The goal is to cycle through 40 cups within on minute. The red cup is used as the marker.The participant needs to move one cup from the bottom of the stack and move it to the top using one hand. The process is repeated, but this time with the other hand. The hands are alternated to move all of the cups until the red cup is back in it’s place at the bottom of the stack of cups. Set up an obstacle course of things like cones, toys, books, etc. in a large area. Player must scoot from the start of the obstacle course to the finish and back on a bath mat or towel. Players can either race to finish before a minute is up or time them and the fastest racer wins.

Rules: Players have a minute to stack 10 cups in a pyramid, take them down in a diagonal fashion, and then reverse stack them back to the starting position (stacked all together). If the pyramid tower falls at any point, they must start over. Whoever completes this first wins!
