The New York Tabletop Show, held traditionally twice a year in April and October at Forty One Madison, will conclude this spring for its final trade show produced by Forty One Madison. Forty One Madison said in a statement: “Due to changing trends and demand for in-person trade shows, Forty One Madison will no longer produce the New York Tabletop Market. We tremendously value all of our Forty One Madison tenants, and will continue to provide them with the same services and support that they are accustomed to, including a newly renovated private meeting and event space managed by MEET, renovated lobby and elevators, 24 hour security and check-in. The April 2022 Tabletop Market will be the last show produced directly by Forty One Madison.” Located on Madison Square Park, Forty One Madison is a modern-style Rudin Management property designed by renowned architects Emery Roth & Sons. Since its debut in 1974 as the New York Merchandise Mart, Forty One Madison has made its mark as the world’s premier destination for the tabletop industry featuring over 90 permanent showrooms and over 200 leading brands and manufacturers. “Tabletop companies will remain at Forty One Madison and continue to benefit from all the amenities. Visitors can come all year round,” said Kristi Forbes, who is the director and senior vice president of Forty One Madison and will remain with the company through the end of this year. “The Tabletop Show will continue in some capacity,” said Forbes. “So many companies want to stay in the building.” For the upcoming April show, to be held April 5-8, 2022, 41 Madison and its tenants encourage buyers to attend as planned, and programming is to be released in the upcoming weeks. Featured categories of the showrooms include china, crystal, dinnerware, flatware, glassware, hotelware, lighting, luxury gift, housewares, objet d’art and bespoke pieces. The building welcomes retailers, interior designers, architects, chefs, restaurateurs, hotels, media and other tabletop professionals from around the globe to meet and experience new offerings from the industry’s finest brands.
