Otterbox defender pro iphone 13 pro max

The OtterBox case is fantastic for the iPhone 13 Pro.  

I researched a bunch of cases and finally purchased two cases.  I decided to keep the Otterbox Defender case and return the Mous Limitless 4.0 - MagSafe Case.  The OtterBox case was more robust and provided better protection for the phone.  The iPhone 13 Pro Max is a thousand dollars so I will gladly deal with a slightly thicker case for the extra protection.

Pros:
1. Great Drop Protection that includes a raised lip around the screen.
2. Buttons are very easy to push and work without any problems.
3. Wireless charging works with this case.
4. Magsafe charging also works with this case.  Please note - with this case on - the MagSafe charger will not stick to the back if you pick up the phone.  However, if you lay the mag safe charger on the phone it works better than a qi charger; just make sure the MagSafe charger is lined up properly.  I noticed the MagSafe charger produced very little heat while charging compared to my Qi wireless charger.  Both charge thru the case but I will not use Qi wireless charging due to the heat produced.

5.  I purchased the SCREENLESS EDITION so I could buy my own glass screen protector - the screen protector was a perfect fit for this case.

6.  This Otterbox case is "Grippy" and not smooth like other cases.  Even though the case is a little bigger it feels secure in my hand.  Cases like the Mous case were too smooth and felt like it was going to slip out of my hand.

7.  This case has a full front screen protector/belt clip cover.  Ok, I'll never put the phone on my belt but the extra protection this offers can't be beaten if your going to use the phone while camping or other outdoor activities.

8.  This case provides full protection for the Rear Camera.

Cons:

1.  This case is a little larger than most cases.  However, the difference does not bother me at all.
2.  I really don't use the Belt clip screen cover because it's a little inconvenient - but it's nice to have.

Conclusion:
I really wanted a thinner case to work but they just can't provide the same level of protection.  With that said, I don't think this case is too large when used without the belt clip. I've been using it for a week and I just like how the phone feels secure in my hand.  Let's be honest, the phone itself is big to begin with so a little extra bulk from the case is no big deal.  I think the Otterbox Defender case is the best trade-off between protection and added bulk you can find.
