BAY COUNTY — End of summer festivities are kicking off Labor Day weekend as the summer season wraps up in Bay County. 

While many are planning to soak up the sun this weekend on the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches, some local venues are hosting celebrations.

From Labor Day celebrations to end of summer parties, here are five area events to consider this weekend.

The Press Downtown 

Join the Press Downtown for the End of Summer Hangout event this Friday at 7 p.m. at 310 Harrison Ave. in downtown Panama City. A $10 cover charge gets you in the door with bottomless mimosas, sparkling water, sodas and charcuterie. 

The downtown coffee shop has a lot in store for the event, including a latte art contest featuring our current and former baristas, live music featuring local artists, and pop culture trivia. A raffle will take place for a basket of $300 worth of The Press merchandise and coffee-brewing accessories. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the event for $10.

Shore Dogs Grill 

Party all day on Sunday at Shore Dogs Grill, 8100 Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach, for Labor Day and end-of-summer celebrations. This Sunday Funday event kicks off at 11 a.m. with activities, games and live music planned during the day. A shrimp boil will start at 3 p.m. and live music at 6 p.m. with The Kevin Heidi Project and special guests. House of Henry

End-of-summer festivities last all weekend at House of Henry, 461 Harrison Ave in downtown Panama City.

Starting Friday at 9 p.m., Alex Napier & DayBreak will perform live, bringing rock, blues, country and acoustic tunes to the HoH stage. On Saturday, The Band 12 will debut at HoH at 9 p.m. with a live performance on the backstage. 

House of Bass returns Sunday with the closeout party at 10 p.m. for Labor Day weekend. Get ready to dance the night away with five DJs on the lineup to keep the music pumping all night. Glow sticks will be provided and drink specials run all night long.

Buster’s Hangar 67 

Join the Sunday evening festivities at Buster's Hangar 67, 5908 Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach, with entertainment, shopping, drinks and live music to celebrate the Labor Day weekend. Buster’s will host an end-of-summer market from 5 to 9 p.m. for an evening of local shopping, food, drinks, and live music with Jay Gurley at 6 p.m.
