I'm not one to write a review, but this product is THAT good. We live in the country and dont want to put up a fence. We have a miniature schnauzer and for the last 9 months we have had to walk her on a leash...rain or shine. When we have tried to walk her without a leash, she bolts immediately. Having to chase her across our somewhat busy road to finally retrieve her at a neighbors house down the road got old. I really thought this product wouldnt work. I thought my dog wouldnt be stopped. Oh my goodness was I wrong. We followed the directions exactly for the first 2 days but I realized she quickly would hear the beep and stop and turn around. On the 3rd day, I turned it on the lowest setting and she went out of the safe zone twice and she quickly realized that she wasnt trying it again. Now I can finally let her outside to potty by herself without issue! Today we were outside all day and she got to be out there running and playing with our children, not on a leash or in a pen. This is the BEST purchase I've made in a year. It is AMAZING!!!!

Had this system over a year now and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to a dog pen, chain, or expensive fencing! Simple setup instructions, easy to read and understand. Even tells you how to introduce the system and it’s boundaries to your pet. My dog weighs approx 110-115lb and I’ve never had to set the correction level above a 5. He learned his perimeter very quickly and I love that it has the warnings before it actually shocks. I charge the collar up at night about a week and a half to 2 weeks as I remember to do it and so far it’s never gone dead and still works like new! Just check the contact points every time you charge it! I didn’t think about doing that and had to replace one that had worked itself loose and fell out. Overall great product and I would buy another one if anything happens to it!

I've used wired pet containment in the past. They are a huge (or expensive) hassle to install and if the wire circuit fails it's impossible to know where the break is. The radio system works similarly (beeping/static shocking collar) if the pet goes beyond the boundary, but has a couple of major advantages! Installation is a breeze. It took me 30 minutes to place the 50 flags (included) in a circle around the transmitter, which is in the house. That's it! The other major advantage is that if the pet does escape the perimeter, it does not get shocked on the way back in, as with the wired system--and that you don't want! The system allows you to set the diameter of the circular area. I forget the maximum, but I am using a 68 foot radius. It adjusts in one-foot increments. This system can ONLY create a circular containment area. You can place the transmitter in various areas within your house, varying the radius to best fit the outdoor area. Pro tip: Google Earth has a precise measurement too that will allow you to measure the radius from various points in your home. Some users have complained that the transmitter is noisy, but mine is virtually silent. The collar unit is rechargeable! My only complaint so far is that the radius is a little unstable. I set it (with flags) using the instructions, but then noticed that occasionally the collar was beeping either too soon or too far. It's good enough, though, as my dog has learned to stay well within the boundaries.

So this worked immediately. No training required but I have done some training years ago with a collar so he gets it but even the slightest shock has him terrified now and he won’t leave there house. He hasn’t pooped in 2 days. Be very gentle with the corrections! You don’t want him spooked. Just enough to get their attention

We have three Doggo's of all three sizes of Large, Medium, and Small ( Great Dane, Bull Terrier, and Min-Pin) and it keeps all three of them in the area that we set for the transmitter. Training the the dogs is the hardest part of this set up, which for our three wasn't too bad at all and that's saying a lot as all three can be stubborn. Reading other reviews before buying I was worried about the quality of the collar and it's not an issue. Well built just have to follow the instructions and not leave it on the Doggo for more than 12hrs at a time ( For us we just put on the collars when were outside or they are utilizing the lawn). I think this is a little bit over priced and is the only thing that I would complain about but the results are definitely worth it.

We do not have a fence and originally purchased the Halo collar. After weeks of training, our pyredoodle still would run straight through her boundaries, even with the longer attachments to account for her thick fur. It may work for some dogs as it does have great reviews, but I just felt that if my dog wasn't affected by the static (even at the highest setting) what was the point? I sold it on Ebay and purchased the Petsafe system. And WOW. Within three days she knew where her boundaries were and respected them. I am absolutely amazed. The true test was someone jogging down our street, she went after them (to play of course) and as soon as she got through that boundary she made a U turn and came right back. It is a little heartbreaking to hear that first whimper or two from the shock, but it's for their own good and also gives you peace of mind. Now we can relax outside and enjoy the weather and let her wander around the yard by herself. Also, it's been about 2 weeks and I have yet to need to charge the collar. Invest in this system, you will not regret it!

Amazing product. We have used this for 3 years until the transmitter finally gave up. I ordered an opened box from Amazon to get a replacement cheaper and whoever ordered this and returned it, stole the collar that was supposed to be in the box and replaced it with another one making the return appear to be the same. This system does not work with a collar that takes a replaceable battery. It plugs in for longer life. That’s what makes this so great. Someone just got a $160 collar for free by being dishonest. Amazon needs to check open boxes better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great company

Although we were told after receiving our unit broken, Amazon stated they were not able to help.
The company of this product was unbelievable with their customer service! They were very understanding, pleasurable and fast!
Being our second unit we are very happy with the unit and the “direct” customer service would make me invest in another unit if ever needed.
Highly recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my dog contained in a fenceless yard!

This is my second unit. My first one quit working after a few years. Unfortunately, this replacement unit only lasted about four months and then quit working. Good news, I called the company and explained what was happening and they sent me out a new unit right away. Cannot say enough good about the Pet Safe Company. So I say yes, go ahead and purchase this product. They work great and the company stands behind their product. Very happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what it’s designed to do!

I bought this wireless fence because I have a hound who will chase just about anything. I live near a very busy street and near a highway and I wanted to ensure that my dog is safe within my property. I tried all the settings up to 3 but that didn’t seem to stop her from running out of bounds, so I cranked it to 4. Afterthe first few beeps and quick static shock, she now knows her boundaries. All I have to do now is put the collar on and she won’t pass the boundaries even if I walk to the end of driveway. She will sit and wait for my return.
So far I’m loving it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wireless Petsafe electronic fence

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on August 10, 2019

It's a really important safety device for safety for our dog here in the sector. Our dog had the habit to run in order to cross the road in front of our house. This was unsafe and extremely dangerous. Since we install the wireless electronic fence, our dog stay safe on our property and the playground is large enough.

The first unit that we bought failed. We decided to install it under the Bar-be-Cue in the close space. The rebound of the wireless due to a metal close space caused the failure (clearly written in the instruction manual not to position close to metal). I rush order an other transmitter to keep my dog safe. After receiving the new unit, I open the unit and found that the problem was a blown fuse. The fuse was solder to the electronic board. I remove the fuse with my iron and order an other one on the internet. Now it work again and I have a spare transmitter. I strongly recommend this product

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Small Dogs on a Large Property

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on July 30, 2021

We live on one of the gulf islands in British Columbia. Our property is mostly in Douglas firs but have a large open area around our house. When we started to breed small terriers we recognized that we would have to fence some of the area. We learned of the invisible fence which originally required burial of a cable in the lawn. Our dogs were provided with collars that would give the dog a small harmless 'buzz' . Within a few years the buried cable was replaced with a radio transmitter that would provide a gentle signal to the dog. The transmitter can be adjusted for range and intensity of the 'reminder' so that small dogs like ours would receive a more gentle reminder than a larger dog. We have used the collar with great success since. We highly recommend them.
