Primary Care Right on Campus

Complete Care in a Convenient Location. Our practice offers comprehensive healthcare services close to home—and even closer to work. We see community residents and RIT faculty and staff (and their families).

If you are in need of a new primary care physician or want to switch doctors, our practice is accepting new patients. We warmly welcome all RIT employees and their family members.  All insurances are accepted. Even if you have a different primary care physician, our office is a convenient resource, offering same-day appointments for those under the RIT health insurance plan.

We’re dedicated to helping you maintain your health and well-being and we’ll give you the personal attention you deserve.

A Wealth of Services

We offer a wide range of primary care services, including:

  • Chronic condition management
  • Evaluations of the elderly for supportive services
  • Immunizations, including flu shots
  • Medication prescriptions and refills
  • On-site laboratory services
  • Pre-operative clearances
  • Preventative services such as routine physical exams and health screenings
  • Removal of moles and warts
  • Treatments for lacerations and minor injuries

And while you’ll need to call ahead for an appointment, we also provide same-day scheduling for issues such as:

  • Bladder or vaginal infections
  • Cuts and bruises
  • Earache
  • Eye infections
  • Fever
  • Insect or animal bites
  • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
  • Rashes or minor burns
  • Sinus infection
  • Sore throat, cough, cold and flu
  • Sprains or strains

Outpatient Lab

Adjacent to the Family Practice is Rochester Regional Health Outpatient Lab.  The lab is closed indefinitely. The nearest Rochester Regional labs to RIT are at 50 Middle Road at Calkins and at Westfall Medical Park 2273 S Clinton Avenue. These labs do allow walk-ins. Appointments

To schedule an appointment, please call us at (585) 922-6250. Your cooperation in arriving on time for your appointment helps us stay on schedule.

We also offer same-day sick visits and appointments for patients with urgent problems.

New patients

If you're a new patient with us, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to your first appointment to complete the necessary paperwork.

Cancellations

If you must cancel your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance. We require same-day or prior-to-appointment notice if you're canceling a routine or sick visit appointment. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient.

What to bring to your appointment

  • Your insurance card(s)
  • A list of your current medications (with dosages), including any over-the-counter medications or supplements 
  • Any prescription refills you may need so we can provide them for you at the time of your visit
  • Any questions that you may have for your physician about health concerns, medications, and treatment

Appointments

To schedule an appointment, please call us at (585) 248-5300. Your cooperation in arriving 15 minutes before your appointment helps us stay on schedule and allows adequate check-in time to occur.

We also offer same-day sick visits and appointments for patients with urgent problems.

After Hours Care

If you have an urgent need after regular office hours, please call our office and trained nurses or an on-call physician will assist you. Depending upon your need, you will receive home care advice, be offered a next-day appointment or be directed to an urgent care or emergency center.

Cancellations

If you must cancel your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient. We require 24 hours’ notice for physicals and same day or prior to appointment notice if you're cancelling a routine or sick visit appointment.

Failure to notify us of your cancellation will result in a no show visit and other consequences may apply if no prior notice is made for a cancellation.

  • Your insurance card(s)
  • Co-pay if one is required by your insurance
  • Payment towards high deductible insurance plans
  • A list of your current medications (with dosages), including any over-the-counter medications or supplements. We recommend you bring in all of your medication bottles to help take the safest care of you.
  • Any prescription refills you may need so we can provide them for you at the time of your visit
