Exynos version 120hz , mostly on wifi with location, bluetooth (not connecting device) on . Standby time is pretty bad, drains 24% in 19 hours when device idle. (Based on Accu battery)

idle drain on wifi or 4g?

How long have you had the phone? I was getting the same results last week, at first, I didn't believe that the battery gets better over time but now, I get around 6 hours SOT after almost a week.

I been using the phone around 2 weeks. Battery do see improve after first few days, but still pretty bad.

You are new to this forum are you :D

https://imgur.com/a/qNPowCF I got this after an Update yesterday(with February Security patch). I am a light user. 120hz rate, WiFi, Location always ON and Brightness about 10%. And yes it is Exynos 2100.

hi, if you don't mind me asking, what Icon set were you using in this screenshot?

The culprits are probably wifi scanning and Bluetooth scanning if not disabled...

Unfortunately, Already disabled it once I get the device..

Hey!

I had gotten the A52 5G earlier this year, but, for the obvious upgrades - mainly Snapdragon 888's smoothness and quickness of app loading and working - I bought the S21 FE a couple days ago. I know it's still too early to judge, but, across this whole day today, from a 100% charge last night which turned to 97% charge when I began my day today, I had a total of 4.5 hours of screen-on time by 7 pm. Is this normal? From my research, the battery life claims on this phone are wildly varied - some people say they get 3 to 4 hours of screen-on time, while many reviewers say they get 6 to 7 hours, leaving me unsure as to what to believe. So, I am debating whether to keep the S21 FE or go back to my A52 5G, which I am largely happy with (it's just the sometimes-unreliable fingerprint scanner that bugs me about the A52 5G). So, can I expect the 4.5 hours of screen-on time to improve, on the S21 FE? Did any of you see your screen-on time improve after some days or weeks on this phone?

Thanks!

Hey everyone, just got a new S21 FE yesterday on Prime Day sale. It was like $460 USD so a pretty good deal ($600 CAD - the regular S21 was pretty much double the price). A lot about it is great like the camera and screen and speed. There are few things that annoy me like 128 gb non-expandable storage, lack of dual SIM, and non-adaptive display. But the biggest thing I'm concerned with is battery life since I plan to be using this phone for the next 4, hopefully 5 years. A lot of review sites like DxOMark show that it's battery isn't very good.

My current phone is a Redmi Note 7 which I've been using for 3 years now. The battery on it is a beast. I'm a fairly lightweight user, the only game I play is Fire Emblem Heroes and otherwise it's mostly reddit scrolling. I can easily go a day or two with the battery even after 3 years and it's not like I was babying it either. This is the level of performance I was hoping for.

Currently I'm just testing out the S21 FE and while the battery drain seems to be minimal when not in use, it drops quickly with the screen on time. It's still "learning" so I can't really see the estimated idle and SoT data yet. I hear that it gets better after a week or two after it "learns" your usage though and with newer software updates since it's launch.

So for everyone who's has a S21 FE or can relate to my situation, any thoughts? I'm somewhat considering switching back to a Xiaomi phone to be completely honest. Their software sucks but their hardware is really solid and for a great price.

5-6 h sot at maximum. SD variant europe. Screen is 120hz. Usage wifi, reddit, texting, sometimes calls, youtube vanced in the background sometimes.

I charge twice in 24h. I did a 16-17h journey with no data, and only watching movies and it reached 13-14h of screen on time.

So its definitely good.

I have the European SD variant.

How long does S21 Fe battery last?

With its 4,500mAh battery, the Galaxy S21 FE squeezed out 666 minutes of continuous uptime before giving up the ghost. This is a little disappointing considering the almost similar S20 FE from last year has 100 minutes more run time.

How much screen on time does the S21 have?

After the last update which took the security patch level to June 2021, with our use case, we've always hit 5 hours of screen-on-time in a day, and we even managed 6 a few times. But that's it, and that's not really impressive from a 5,000 mAh battery.

Is S21 Fe worth buying?

Is the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE worth buying? On paper, the Galaxy S21 FE is a great phone. For under $700, you get one of the best mobile chipsets of 2021, a decent camera system, Android 12 out-of-the-box, and more. No matter how you shake it, that's not bad.

How can I improve the S21 Fe battery life?

ensure Power Saver Settings are enabled..
Standby time is the amount of time the device stays powered on with no voice, data or other usage..
Talk time is based on voice usage..
Data usage such as web browsing, using apps or streaming reduces overall talk time..
