When you don your VR headset and explore the sunken ruins of New Orleans in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, you might find yourself faced with some difficult scenarios. And by "difficult scenarios," we mean zombies. Lots, and lots, of zombies. That's why it's great there's also a hefty selection of weapons to wield against the hordes of the living dead. 

Some of these weapons are extravagantly powerful and difficult to obtain, but you don't need to fret. These are the top five weapons in the game. Below, we've outlined how to get them.

Laminated Bow

The Laminated Bow is one of the best early-game weapons you can get in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. You can make regular arrows for it pretty easily, as long as you have a Level 4 Survival workbench. It's easy to use this weapon to get silent kills from a distance, and you can even wield an arrow from your quiver as a quick melee weapon.

How to get: Level your Survival workbench to Level 3, and the recipe unlocks automatically. As an added bonus, you can unlock Explosive Arrows by taking the code 2263 to the safe at the opposite end of the catacombs, near the jazz players.

Samedi's Hand

Samedi's Hand packs one hell of a punch, and you can cut through the hordes of walking dead super easy with just one of these bladed fists. Better yet, you can also dual-wield them for even more carnage.

How to get: The recipe for Samedi's Hand is hidden in the safe on the upper floor of the yellow house in Via Carolla. The safe code is 8276.

Grass Cutter

The Grass Cutter is like Michonne's katana but cooler. This two-handed sword can decapitate zombies with extreme ease, and it tends to be more durable than other weapons.

How to get: Level your Gear workbench to Level 8.

Cleaver

Having a supply of Cleavers on-hand is important for melee combat later on in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. It's almost impossible to get kills on helmeted walkers without a weapon that can chop off their heads, and the Cleaver can do that and much more. You can also dual-wield your Cleavers for maximum effect.

How to get: Level your Gear workbench up to Level 6.

Pump-Action Shotgun

The Nova 1014 Pump-Action Shotgun is an exceptionally powerful gun. You can blast your way through humans and walkers alike with this boomstick, and it's also super easy to find more shotgun ammo throughout the campaign. Even better, this gun is more durable than its double-barrel counterpart.

How to get: Level your Guns workbench to Level 10.

In The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners There are two types of weapons: guns and melee. These weapons are judged off of their stats. Durability, Sharpness and Throwing, although guns only have Durability. Guns will attract Walkers and are held by enemy NPC's which spawn around the world at various places, such as outposts. Melee is silent and will not attract other Walkers. You can use melee in 3 ways: Braining, Decapitation or Dismemberment.

-Esteemed Mortal: Schematic in Old Town.

-4th and Pain: Schematic in Rampart.

-Compound Bow: Schematic in Memorial Lane.

-Lever-Action Rifle: Schematic in The Ward.

-.45 Revolver: Schematic in The Shallows.

-The Naked: Schematic on Via corolla on the left side of the house. -.30 Revolver: Can be crafted at Guns Workbench Level 1.

-Board With Nail In It: Retrieved by destroying planks blocking off certain entrances. Two boards are dropped for each destroyed plank. .

-Bottle: Found practically everywhere and can be used for Scrap or smashed to use as a weapon.

-Lighter: No specific location and can't be crafted but can be found in the world, most commonly in kitchens.

-Screwdriver: No specific location and can't be crafted but can be found in the world.

-Hatchet: No specific location and can't be crafted but can be found in the world.

-Axe: No specific location and can't be crafted but can be found in the world.

-Bayou Slugger: Can be crafted at Gear Workbench Level 3.

-Spoon: No specific location and can't be crafted but can be found in the world.

-Knife: only two of these exist. They can be found near the entrance to the church area, in the area across from where you first meet May. It is comparable to the national guard knife, and is notable for its odd texture and the fact that it displays no stats.

-Sheet Metal Cleaver: Can be crafted at Gear Workbench Level 7.

-Nail Bomb: Can be crafted at Gear Workbench Level 8.

-Night Shift: Can be crafted at Gear Workbench Level 5.

-Grass Cutter: Can be crafted at Gear Workbench Level 10.

-Nova 1014: Can be crafted at Guns Workbench Level 10.

-FS92M: Can be crafted at Guns Workbench Level 7.

-AR-416: Schematics found when flooding the Comms room and saving Armory, or flooding the Armory and killing patrols. Can be crafted at Guns Workbench.

-Laminated Bow: Can be crafted at Survival Workbench Level 3.

-Kitchen Knife: No specific location and can't be crafted but can be found in the world. same as the knife.

-The Sheriff: Unlocked by buying Tourist Edition DLC. Reskin of the .45 Revolver

-The Judge: Unlocked by buying Tourist Edition DLC. Reskin of the Nail Bat.

-Absolution: Automatically unlocked when the Grass Cutter is unlocked. Reskin of the Grass Cutter

-Heavy objects like pans, pots, clocks and other lighter items like a unbroken bottle (1 hit only), broken or working pistols and the skull can be used to deal blunt damage. Blunt damage does not waste stamina, but it does make noise which attracts walkers and humans unlike knifes which are nearly dead silent. You need to land 3 hits to the head to kill with a blunt weapon which will count as braining, meaning you can kill walkers and destroy the brain of fallen humans. Helmets block all blunt damage, but the same knockback and stun effect that you can get when enemies are shoot in the head will sometimes play out, making it easier to deal with large groups of enemies.
