The video was uploaded to YouTube in 2015 and inspired a copypasta that begins with "shut yo skin tone chicken bone google chrome no home flip phone …" in the following years.

On September 17th, 2015, YouTuber[1] Jose Dior uploaded a video titled, "Skin tone chicken bone" where a Black boy roasts another boy, saying, "Skin tone chicken bone leave me alone headass." He then moves away and returns, saying, "super knuckle kuh-nuckle belt buckle banana truffle head ass." The video (shown below) gained over 18 million views in seven years. This is the earliest known upload.

The video gained viral over the following years. On February 19th, 2016, it was shared on /r/DeepIntoYouTube.[2] On April 19th, 2018, YouTuber goat moms posted a lip-dubbed scene from Child's Play where Chucky says the line from the video, gaining over a million views in four years (shown below). On November 4th, YouTuber[3] Dang Matt Smith reacted to the video in a You Laugh You Lose video, gaining over 7 million views in four years.

On October 14th, 2018, Twitter[4] user @slitxoxo commented an insult under a now-deleted tweet using the phrase "skin tone chicken bone" followed by a list of rhyming words, ending with "head ass tf up" (quoted below). This is the earliest known version of the copypasta. It was posted to /r/copypasta[5] that day, gaining over 240 upvotes in four years. On October 18th and 19th, Twitter[6][7] user @Sarthak123 pasted it under Twitter threads, gaining over 317 likes and 410 likes respectively.

On December 17th, Instagram[8] user mallofmeme posted a screenshot of the copypasta used in an Xbox Live message, gaining over 15,000 likes in four years (shown below).

On February 21st, 2022, Instagram[9] user hatebuttts posted a video macro using a variation of the phrase, gaining over 31,000 views in three months (shown below). Instagram[10] user grandmas.butt reposted it that day, gaining over 300,000 views in the same span of time.
