South Oldham High School graduation 2022

To expand on existing school resources and close the gap in mental health services, we have partnered with the Oldham County Health Department and the Oldham County Fiscal Court to offer Care Solace. Care Solace provides an anonymous and confidential pathway for students, families, faculty, and staff to connect with mental health services. This program is being paid for with grants through Oldham County Fiscal Court and OCHD. This program is completely voluntary.

Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation honors students across the nation whose scores are the highest in the PSAT/NMSQT test taken in the fall of their junior year. This year, nine students from Oldham County Schools have been named 2023 National Merit Semifinalists.

The federal government allowed schools to offer free meals to all students during the pandemic, but Congress did not extend this benefit for next school year. Families that are eligible for free or reduced-price meals must apply to receive them, and all other students must pay full price for their meals.

In an effort to reduce the number of late buses arriving to school due to the shortage of bus drivers in recent years, Oldham County Schools will adjust the start and end times of our middle and high schools by 15 minutes. 

Starting with the 2022/2023 school year, middle and high schools will begin at 9:00 a.m. and dismiss at 4:00 p.m. (BAHS hours will be 8:45 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.)

Elementary school start and end times are not affected.
