Spider-man: no way home netflix release date

Somewhere in the multiverse, Spider-Man: No Way Home must be streaming on Netflix right? 

Well, it looks like it is, but only in Singapore and possibly the rest of Southeast Asia, and not on Netflix in the US, and likely only for a limited window from 13 July 2022.

While it was released in December 2021, Sony Pictures’ hit film, which has grossed over US$1.8 billion at the worldwide box office, is reportedly not slated to be available to stream anywhere in the US, as Sony does not have a streaming service of its own there. You know what this means right? If you live outside of Singapore, all you need is a VPN service, and switch your region to “Singapore” then you’ll be able to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home.

And while the film may be part of the massively successful Marvel Cinematic Universe, the MCU is owned and operated by Disney, which explains why Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which opened in cinemas on May 6, 2022, after Spider-Man: No Way Home, premiered on the Disney+ streaming service 45 days later, on June 22, 2022.

According to reports, Disney is keeping to a 45-day theatrical window after a movie opens in theatres, before making it available on streaming platforms, which in this case, is its own Disney+ service.

Sony Pictures is likely to have separate streaming agreements in the US, but it also has an agreement with Netflix to stream its movies globally, and as far as Geek Culture can tell, this applies to markets outside of North America. This usually applies to new movies for a short window, before it gets taken down the streaming service, before eventually resurfacing sometime later.

In the last few years, we’ve noticed Sony Pictures hits, including Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), land on Netflix in Singapore, before being removed in a matter of weeks. In fact, Jumanji: The Next Level was only recently re-added to Netflix’s Singapore service, where it is currently number 2 on the streamer’s Top 10 Films in Singapore this week.

As of right now, we’re not sure how long Tom Holland’s latest, and currently, final outing as the web-spinner will remain on Netflix after it streams on 13 July, so make sure you watch it as much as you want, before it gets taken down subsequently.
