Who is the main female character in the Iliad?

The most important woman in The Iliad is undoubtedly Helen, the wife of the Spartan king and general Menelaus. It was Helen's escape to Troy with the Trojan prince Paris that caused the Trojan War. Although she is famous for her beauty, Helen is much more than a trophy.

Which female characters are in the Odyssey and Iliad?

Of the 19 main characters mentioned in the play, only seven are female, and one is a sea monster. Of those, four, the goddess Athena, Eurycleia the slave, and Nausicaa and her mother Arete, princess and queen of the Phaeacians, assist Odysseus rather than hinder his journey.

Who is Hera in Iliad?

Hera is the wife (and sister) of Zeus, which makes her the queen of the gods. Unlike her husband, who works to ensure a Trojan victory, Hera supports the Achaean war effort.

Who shows bravery in the Iliad?

In the Iliad, Achilles shows bravery by agreeing to participate in the Greek campaign even though he knew that he would die if he participated in the Trojan War. He also showed bravery when he led the first charge of the Greek soldiers against the Trojans.
