Taylor Bold and the Beautiful plastic surgery

Hunter Tylo had been gracing television screens for nearly 15 years in her role as Dr. Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful – and during that time, her face changed minimally. Presumably thanks to plastic surgery.

However, after a certain point the Botox and face lifts are just too much. After all, aging it natural.

Hunter Tylo is a familiar face to fans of The Bold And The Beautiful but has she taken the plastic surgery too far? Even surgeons are having their say…

The twice-divorced mother of three is best known for her role as Taylor Hayes on The Bold And The Beautiful. More recently she has been in the spotlight for her changing appearance, as fans want to know how the 59-year-old doesn’t have a wrinkle in sight.

Many think she has taken things too far and is begging the actor to stop going under the knife. The comments section of an Instagram post by Soap Opera Times was flooded with fans’ pleas for the actor to stop with the surgeries.

Has Hunter Tylo had too much plastic surgery?

Hunter Tylo has obviously changed a lot since her television debut on My Children in 1985. Many wonder how she has achieved her ageless beauty and, as a result, the actress has been pulled into cosmetic surgery gossip. The clearest differences fans have spotted are breast enhancements, botox and lip filler.

However, Hunter has never publicly confirmed her surgeries and, if she has, she’s not the only soap star to undergo plastic surgery. Many fans have called out Jennifer Gareis for allegedly altering her looks too.

What do plastic surgeons think?

Manhattan cosmetic surgeon Dr David Shafer thinks Hunter Tylo has had lip filler but they are still natural. However, Dr Sherrell J Aston thinks she is overdoing it with the cosmetic surgery, saying her lips look “abnormal”.

Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Anthony Youn also chimed in with his thoughts: “Her lips look like they’ve been inflated to massive proportions, possibly from excessive injections of fat.

“Her cheeks also appear overly plumped, possibly from fat injections as well. Her face is excessively smooth, too smooth to be natural in my opinion.

“I suspect she’s undergone hefty doses of Botox to look this way. Botox may also explain the change in her eyebrows,” he concluded.

Dr Youn advised the actress to avoid plastic surgery and leave her “face alone for a while”, while telling Radar Tylo is a “natural beauty”.

B&B star Hunter Tylo returns to soap

Forrester fans will be glad to know Dr Taylor Hayes is returning to The Bold And The Beautiful next month.

From 1996 to 1999, she played Billie Reed on Days Of Our Lives. From there she appeared in many series such as CSI, The X-Files and Baywatch, as well as Two And A Half Men and Monk. More recently, she co-starred in 9-1-1 and I Almost Married A Serial Killer.

She started filming for her revival on B&B in Los Angeles on 28 October. She will soon be seen reuniting with her daughter and ex-husband Ridge, who has now found love with Brooke.

It’s safe to say by now that fans are eating Krista Allen up as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Taylor. That’s no small feat when you’re taking over a character who’s been around as long as Brooke’s romantic rival has. But what if Allen had never stepped into our favorite therapist’s shoes? What if she didn’t even act anymore?

Those are questions we had to face when she sat down to talk on Soap Opera Digest’s podcast, Dishing with Digest, and revealed a truly scary experience when asked about her time on Baywatch: Hawaii.

“I will say,” Allen noted almost casually, “they weren’t really into sunscreen there on Baywatch: Hawaii, which is crazy. At least to reapply on your face. And years later, I ended up getting skin cancer on my face.”

Wait, what? Allen shared that she saw a weird growth on the left side of her nose and didn’t know what it was. When she went to get it checked out, it turned out to be cancer, and it had one hell of a hold on her.

“I had to get a Mohs surgery,” she explained, “and they had to take, I think it was 16 layers down to dig out.”

Allen explained this to Digest and the listeners with a calm likely none of the rest of us were feeling. The cancer removal dug in so deep, they had to follow it with reconstructive surgery that took a part of her cheek and sewed it back to her nose.

If you look very closely, she said, you can see it, “but they did an amazing job. But it was very scary because I thought my acting career was over.”

The actress, though, isn’t the type to just roll over and give up. So not knowing what else to do, or whether her life would ever be “normal” again, Allen instead started writing. It turned out she liked it. A lot.

“I really enjoyed comedy writing,” she said. “That took me to a completely different place for me.” She continued on, concluding that “this was something that you could look at [and say], ‘Oh, this was horrible.’ Not, it wasn’t. It was fantastic because I found a skill I didn’t even know I had.”

Allen’s been cancer-free ever since, and if there’s anything left over from the surgery, it’s all but invisible. Thankfully, as we all know, it didn’t end her acting career, and we get to watch her on our screens as Taylor every day now. If anything, the whole experience just made her stronger.

“You can look at something as it’s just the worst thing in the world,” the actress mused, “or you can find the blessing within it. And I think that’s a really important thing in your mindset, and in life.”

Oh, and Allen had one more, crucial thing to add: “Wear that damn sunscreen. It’s so important.”

While we all breathe a sigh of relief and reflect on the fact that Allen didn’t just survive, but thrived, why not take a moment to go through a gallery we put together to brush up on Taylor’s history? That way, we can all be ready for what’s sure to be an amazing future.

Tylo vacated the role in May 1994 to pursue other projects, but the soap opera left the door open for her to return, which she did months later. During her absence, the character was presumed to be dead.
