The Book of Life 2 Chela

Chela [2] is a minor character in The Book of Life. She isn't seen in the movie, but posters of her can be seen in one of the bars in San Ángel.[3].

Physical Appearance

Chela is a slender woman, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She wears a red corset top with white ribbons, brown shorts and knee-high heeled boots. In her right leg she has a ribbon with a small dagger, and has a red flower in her hair.

Personality

She is the equivalent of Joaquin in a girl [4]. Besides being as or more dangerous than her father Chakal.

History

Chela doesn't have a role on the first film, but if a sequel ever gets made it is likely for her to appear in it, most likely as one of the main antagonists. She would be coming to San Ángel to avenge her father's death [5].

At some point, she will receive the Medal of Everlasting Life from El Chamuco [6].

Trivia

• Chela has a female [7] wolf named "Loba" [8].
• Chela wasn't present in the battle of San Ángel because she was in prison [9].
• One of her weapons is the Sword of the Seven Sins.
• She also knows about the Medal of Everlasting Life.
• She will also most likely be an "interesting" rival for Joaquin [10].

In October of 2019, Jorge R. Gutierrez announced that a sequel of The Book of Life was finally in development. A release date has yet to be confirmed. [1],

Synopsis

Continuing with the story from The Book of Life, this film will focus in Joaquín, who ventures into the Land of the Unknown to find his father. While Chakal's daughter, Chela, will travel to San Angel seeking to avenge the death of her father.
