When she said it's a small hidden local spot, she wasn't kidding. Supposedly the owner is originally from Long Island and Regan’s Orange City Kitchen (aka The Rock) os a family ruined business. It definitely has...that New York style Irish feel to it. It’s a cute little restaurant that’s pretty no-frills. It’s basic and to-the-point, which isn’t a bad thing. The place seemed clean and well-kept. The service wasn’t anything to brag about. We ordered a bday breakfast of the eggs Benedict which comes with tomatoes and avocados with a side of home fried potatoes and bacon. It was good. My lady ordered the French toast with coffee. It was your basic French toast but I thought it was nice how the lady kept topping off the coffee over and over. Overall, a nice local spot with decent food but nothing to go crazy about. I definitely wouldn’t mind doing lunch or dinner to see how that fares.More

It can get a little tight in there and that makes it loud. Otherwise, an enjoyable spot. Reviewed 9 March 2021 via mobile We have visited The ROCK 4 times in the last month. I feel I can give a reliable review at this point. I have been here alone, with my hubby, and with my family of 4. We've visited for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each time...I have been well served by the staff, who were both kind and attentive. This is a Ma and Pa style Diner... but the food is far BEYOND! Each plate is made to order using the freshest, ripest produce! No canned fruits and veggies here! Fruits and vegetables are super yummy with a wonderful variety of choice! Meats are extremely good cuts and perfectly cooked! Plates are constructed of a tasty blend of flavors creating a meal delightful to any palette. People eating fresh diets (like myself) or folks akin to my meat and potato hubby, can all find a delicious meal here. I highly advise giving it a try. P.S. I am unsure where the prior reviewer saw concern over COVID proceedures here. Signs requiring masks posted front and center, glass divisions at the bartop and between booths, sanitary procedure between customers. Let's start by the waitress telling another customer she wasn't feeling well but had to come to work because she had no one to watch kids. (1st flag) Next we ordered off of paper menus...(with coffee stains and dirty ) printed on 5/5/20 (2nd flag) We ordered an open face turkey special for 9.95, and another item, when we got the check we were charged 10.95 , (3rd flag) when we told the waitress she was very rude and said "yes the menu said 9.95 but my register says 10.95 but I will honor it THIS time, ummmm EXCUSE ME, Most people order from a menu and expect to get the price that are on it. Needless to say, the waitress was very rude (and not just to us) so we elected NOT to leave her a tip.. When we left, the waitress literally opened the door and YELLED out the door "THANK YOU VERY MUCH (sarcastically) Here's a tip IF YOUR NOT FEELING WELL, don't come to work during a pandemic where you handle customers food, also don't expect for someone to tip you for a lousy unfriendly attitude. He had the Eggs Benedict with Spinach & Tomato and I ordered the Asparagus & Portobello Mushroom Omelet. Both were amazing...and came with home fries as well as a choice of toast with the omelet. We also ordered two chocolate chip pancakes to go and they were also really good and more than filling. The only thing my husband didn't like was the coffee. The food here is made from scratch. I had the Corn beef hash eggs and HomeFries along with a Blueberry pancake. You can tell the Owner takes pride in what they do and serve. Fresh made corned beef, fresh made...Turkey made each day. No Processed meats here. Daily Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner specials. Dinners are all inclusive including fresh made biscuits , the Rock Salad and desert Death by Chocolate Cake. My server Pam was very helpful in explaining what was on the menu and what the Rock is known for.fantastic service and quite atmosphere. This place is crazy clean!! This is Huge..! It's small and looks to us to be more a breakfast place. That seems to bear out with the reviews on TA. Breakfast may be better. Don't get...me wrong, the food was good but most selections were accompanied by carbs. Lots of French fries and bread for sandwiches. They do offer a salad but we passed as it seemed to be more of a fruit salad. Pricing was fair. I noticed that they do open for dinner and offer beer and wine. This is a cozy restaurant, very clean, extremely nice waitresses, super good food and very reasonable. Between us, we had the breakfast...burrito, which was stuffed with sçrambled eggs, cheese and smoked sausage. It came with a side of home fries. My husband had pancakes with blueberries and sausage. We had two very generous coffees and one V8. Our bill came to $26.94, which included tax. We were greeted as we walked through the door and the waitress was quick to bring coffee. It has a cozy atmosphere and was very clean. Service was fast...and food was delicious. I love their home style potatoes! I’m very picky about restaurants in large places as they seem dirty and don’t pay attention to detail. We drove out of Orlando and found this spot. We were pleasantly surprised. The place is small, but very clean with one of the investor's doing the cooking. Breakfast and lunch are offered, and on Fridays...and Saturdays dinner is also available. The first thing I noticed were the gentleman sitting at the counter seats. I could tell they were locals, this is a great indication of a good business....Everything is cooked from scratch when you order. I order the french toast with the home fries and a glass of orange juice. Because the menu is made to order it took a little longer to receive my food but well worth the wait. The home fries were awesome, cooked with the perfect amount of seasonings. The french toast was perfect just the way I'd prepare it if I were home. The entire staff was very friendly and came around asking if everything was going well. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The home fried were fresh and tasty. The toast seemed a little stale, but was acceptable. My friend loved the home fries and nicely fried bacon on...her plate.
