VALORANT not working on windows 11 Reddit

Ever since I installed windows 11 I’ve been getting that TPM 2.0 Safeboot error. Nothing I did including uninstalling and installing VALORANT and Vanguard worked.

After months of looking for a solution I have found one that worked for me and is still working for me. I hope this helps others as well as this solution was very hard to find.

  1. Right Click on VALORANT and go to properties.

  2. Go to the compatibility tab and check the box stating “Run this program in compatibility mode”

  3. Click the drop down and select windows 7. (Windows 8 only started for a few moments before the error popped up.)

  4. Hit apply and close.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for VANGUARD launcher as well.

I seriously hope this helps people as it was so frustrating not being able to enjoy Valortant due to their anti cheat system and who aren’t willing to uninstall windows 11 for a single game. If this helps you please comment below as well or comment your solution.

VALORANT not working on windows 11 Reddit

I recently installed windows 11 and when I try to play valorant a message pops up of something saying this build needs Tpm 2.0 Any way to fix it other than reverting to windows 10?

Make sure TPM 2.0 and secure boot are enabled in Bios. I had secure boot off for some reason, after changing it Valorant has been working just fine on win 11.

Will do I saw some videos on it as well. Thank you

I have them both activated but it still gives error, i downgraded to win10 until win11 releases

What is your cpu? If its under 8th gen intel and 2nd gen Ryzen you have to go back to win 10.

Anything below this supposively does not have tpm 2.0 100% support..

I have a Ryzen 5600G, it's possibly cause it's a new processor, I will try doing the bios thing which is recommended mostly from yt

Is an Intel i3 8th cpu fine?

Yep same thing happened to me, fixed it tho

Upon booting up your PC, turn on secure boot and disable UEFI. I had the same issue a month ago when I updated lol hopefully this helps

Will I need to have it on UEFI mode

Adding this comment if anyone has the same issue as me. I have a Lenovo gaming 3i laptop (but I think this works for other Lenovo models too)

My BIOS said that secure boot was disabled, even though it was enabled on the security tab. I found the solution on this link from Lenovo community. Valorant is working properly now :)

The beta is available to all.

Why are you living under a rock?

You will find that tpm is enabled in your bios, and furthermore win 11 requires it, so it should work...except the tpm driver doesn't load up on Windows 11.

Here is my suggested fix, go to Device Manager and look for Security keys or where it says Trusted Platform Module and right click and press disable and then enable again, ensure it says when you click Properties that it says "the device is working properly" and then test again. Also ensure Vanguard is running.

Perhaps TPM 2.0? Sounds familiar? Try running Valorant in compatibility mode. Right click the shortcut icon >Properties>Under the Compatibility tab, tick the box of Run this program in compatibility mode for, then choose an older OS.>Click on OK to save the changes.>Try launch the game.

Another solution is to run Valorant with administrator rights. Same procedure. Right click>Properties>Click the Compatibility tab.>Check the box of Run this program as an administrator.>Click on OK to save the changes.>Try launch the game.

If the problem persist and TPM 2.0 is the culprit it probably means that the computer doesn't have TPM 2.0 and Secure boot on. You can turn it on in BIOS. Can't help you with that without knowing what the computer brand your sister has.

For PC questions/assistance. When asking a question or stating a problem, please add as much detail as possible. If you have a specific Keyboard/Mouse/AnyPart that is doing something strange, include the model number i.e. If you have a hard drive that is making a weird noise or is failing, please include the Model Number, when you started using it and any other details such as "*I dropped it*" or "*It is brand new*". These are important and can save you time when getting a question answered.

Why is my Valorant not working on Windows 11?

Valorant will not run on systems that do not satisfy the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. The most recent system requirements for Windows 11 are TPM 2.0, Secure Boot Enabled, and a Newer Generation CPU.

Is Windows 11 can run Valorant?

The answer is – Valorant cannot run on unsupported Windows 11 PCs if they don't have Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. If you run this game on such a PC, an error may appear saying “This build of Vanguard requires TPM version 2.0 and secure boot to be enabled in order to play”.

How do I fix Valorant error 9001 in Windows 11?

The fix here would be to simply head to your BIOS configuration and then enable Secure Boot from there. Secure boot is essentially a security feature that protects your computer from malware and virus infections.
