Wella Colour Charm Toner Shade Chart

This is the Wella Colour Charm Toner Shade Chart. Let’s break it down into sections:

SILVER SHADES
The silver shades of Wella Colour Charm are
T28 - Natural Blonde
T10 - Pale Blonde
Sometimes when you think silver, you imagine a really ashy result - but personally I find that these shades give a natural blonde result with silvery shimmer. You’ll find pictures later in the guide.

ASH SHADES
The ash shades of Wella Colour Charm are
T14 - Pale Ash Blonde
T18 - Lightest Ash Blonde
050 - Cooling Violet.
These are by far the coolest shades of Wella Colour Charm, with Wella T18 being the most popular shade of the entire range. More pictures later in the guide.

BEIGE SHADES
The beige shades of Wella Colour Charm are
T15 - Pale Beige Blonde
T11 - Lightest Beige Blonde
T27 - Medium Blonde
T35 - Beige Blonde
These are the warmer shades of Wella Colour Charm. Don’t let the word warm scare you - these will still tone brassiness but leave you with a more natural beige result. There’ll be photos later in the guide.

Of course, you can pick your Wella Toner by having a look at the swatches and choosing the one that you like best. Or, you can pick your toner based on the issues you're seeing. Here's my recommendations.

Which Wella Toner for Brassy Yellow Hair

Great news! The entire Wella Colour Charm Toner range is designed to combat brassy yellow hair. However, if you're seeing really strong yellow tones, you want to look for the toners that are purple / violet based.
 
WELLA T18 TO FIX YELLOW TONES
This one almost goes without saying, because it’s the best seller in the range.Wella T18 is packed with purple pigments, which will neutralise those yellow tones and leave you with an icy blonde result.
The Wella T18 Toner is the only toner of the range that's purple based and it's the most powerful at combatting yellow tones.

Which Wella Toner for Brassy Orange Hair

Most of the Wella Toners are designed to remove yellow tones - but there are a few combinations that will remove orange tones!
The most powerful toner against orange tones is the Wella Colour Charm Toner in 050 Cooling Violet. Used alone on blonde hair this gives a steel grey result. Used alone on orange hair this will really reduce the orange tones and leave you with an ashy dark blonde/light brown result.

Using the Wella 050 Cooling Violet alone is not your only option for orange tones! I actually prefer to mix the Wella 050 with other blue based Wella Toners to cut through the orange without making the hair too dark.

WELLA 050 WITH WELLA 14 TO FIX ORANGE TONES
My personal favourite combination of toners to fix orange tones are the Wella 050 Cooling Violet Toner with Wella T14 Pale Ash Blonde (50% of each). This will definitely help to reduce light orange tones in your hair and leave you with an ashy light brown result. Keep in mind, this won't work for dark orange tones - light gold/orange only!

Which Wella Toner for Platinum Blonde

If you’re looking to create platinum blonde hair at home - the Wella T18 Lightest Ash Blonde Toner is the one for you!
Your hair needs to be a really pale yellow (think the inside of a banana peel) for this toner to give you platinum blonde results.

Which Wella Toner is Lightest

The two lightest shades of Wella Colour Charm Toners and they are:
T11 Lightest Beige Blonde
T18 Lightest Ash Blonde
Choose the Wella T11 Lightest Beige Blonde if you’re looking for a very light, creamy blonde. Or, choose the Wella T18 Lightest Ash Blonde if you’re looking for a white ash blonde.
I recommend mixing Wella T18 and Wella T11 (50% of each) if you're looking for the toning power of the Wella T18 but don't want it to go too ashy.

Which Wella Toner for Grey Hair

Are you trying to blend your natural grey hair in with your lengths? Are your lengths looking turning yellow and dull?
I recommend a mixture of the Wella T14 and Wella T18 for natural grey hair! These are both the coolest of the Wella Colour Charm Toners - the Wella T18 will cut through those yellow tones, and the Wella T14 will in some nice grey tones.
