But to answer your original question, the button for hitting a hogtied person on the back of your horse is F.

If I hog tie someone and toss them on my horse the hog tie lasts forever. But if I hog tie someone and leave them on the ground to hog tie another person they seem to get right free. I've seen vids where people have a ton of enemies hog tied ... I don't know why mine break. I'm not going far from the guy i hog tied ... usually just back to the road ... not much farther than 15 meters I'd imagine.

I think it's more of a distance thing. If you get too far away they escape

hmm ... i finally got 4 lemoyne riders hogtied and hit them with a stick of dynamite and I didn't get the achievement? They were alive and wiggling when I tossed the boom stick ... what went wrong?

They get out after a few minutes if your right next to them....I robbed one guy and tied him up...then I had a group tied up...then the killing happened....

I just hogtied a bounty and they melded into the rock. Couldn’t pick her up. 🙄

People escaping hogtie?

I have noticed that when I hogtie someone and leave them on the ground they end up escaping a bit later?

Is there a way to keep people permanently hogtied? They always seem to wiggle out of it.

Ok, just in case anybody else is wondering I think I found a solution.

I hogtied someone and brought them in a forest and threw them on the ground.

I noticed that when you are facing them, and you are close to them, they don't seem to try to wiggle free.

If you turn your back to them or get too far away they will wiggle out.

They always get free eventually. Sometimes they escape and sometimes they start shooting at Arthur, well unless they're not unconscious. At least from my experience. Maybe if you are standing directly at them they won't. But I haven't tried that.

Some guy tried to steal my horse, so I decided to toss him off a bridge into water. That wasn't really that fun, but I thought it was funny. Anything else I can try?

Pro9b = Pro 9-Ball (retired) 17 = My ranking in my state at the height of my career. There's no money in pool, the elite top few players make 100k/year at best.

Crouch down next to him with your knife. Target him with LT then press RT and you'll slit his throat.

Take him out to wolf country and way some bait around his body and then run to a safe distance and watch the slaughter.

I like to take them to cougar country, put some bait down, cut their ropes...

And watch the fun.

Also- replace "cougar" with "bear." Always fun.

Lay them on train tracks and wait.

Lay bait, and drop them on the bait. (Make sure you're in an area where carnivorous animals dwell.)

Lay them on a camp fire and wait for them to burn.

Drag them to a bridge (not hogtied I know, but still fun imo) and let them hang off the edge. They will actually get lynched when you do this.

Dump them in a river or lake.

Drop them off a cliff.

Run over them with your horse, carriage, or wagon repeatedly.

Slit their throat (by targeting them and using your knife.)

Watch them squirm and beg to be untied. Then go up to them and slit their throat and listen to them choke on their own blood.

I hogtied some guy who started attacking me because I got too close to his camp.

I felt sorry for him because I killed his dog and decided to let him go, but when I put him down I accidentally placed him on the floor with his feet in the camp fire, which caused him to burn like a Christmas log.

A more intentionally cruel thing I do with hogtied people in Armadillo is carry them into the toilets at the back of the saloon, and just leave them hogtied with their head next to the toilet bowl... I then just leave them to the mercy of drunk and amorous cowboys.

It's also quite funny to carry and drop them in the back room where you play poker. Not only is it funny that they interrupt the path finding abilities of the other poker players (who have great difficultly getting up from their chairs with a hogtied person in the way), but it's amusing to hear them begging to be let free while you're playing a long game of poker.

Next time I'm going to see whether I can drop them in the Horseshoes pit and score a ringer on their head.
