What is the song on Bingo Blitz?

Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger – Miss Scherzy, if you’re nasty – is back. Kind of.

With the pandemilovato putting the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour on hold, our reliable Puakenikeni Princess decided to react (REFERENCE) accordingly by hopping into a recording studio with Luis Fonsi to supply a theme song for a mobile game that your aunt most likely sends you invitations to join on Facebook every week.

Billed as the world’s “most popular free-to-play mobile bingo game,” Bingo Blitz is played by over one million daily players. (Are there PopCrave-level bingo stans who can confirm this stat? Bingo Blitz outsold, wbk.)

Yes, that’s right: Her Name Is Nicole (Killer Love now available on streaming!), she’s hot as a stove, and “She’s Bingo,” a delightfully nonsensical title for a wildly over-the-top collaboration with MC Blitzy (?) and Israel-based digital entertainment company Playtika.

In keeping with the general disco-inspired takeover of pop music (no complaints here!), the track is a take on French pop duo Ottowan‘s “D.I.S.C.O.”, a Euro smash and No. 2 UK hit when it was released back in 1979.

The accompanying music video, shot in Miami, supplies the full bouncing bingo ball fantasy, while simultaneously illustrating the Masked Singer multi-hyphenate’s ongoing plans for world domination, as she sings and dances her way across various locales. Brazil, Morocco, London to Ibiza, straight to L.A., New York, Vegas to Africa…all around the world, “Pretty” girls!

“I’ve shot a lot of music videos in my time, and this is on another level. Fonsi has made the whole project easy and fun. When I think about Bingo, it makes me think about my family because I used to play it with my family growing up, and it’s super fun,” Scherzy said (and/or Big Fat Lied) about the making of “She’s Bingo.”

Suffice to say, “She’s Bingo” is an unhinged, less-than-3-minute Latin-disco-pop experience: from Nicole going full Matadorzinger up against a pile of bingo balls in the shape of a bull, to the songwriter award-ready lyricism – “Holy moly, she’s my one and only / She’s my Bingo and she’s winning ’cause she’s dancing slowly” – there is no part of this that is not pure chaos. As a result, I love it.

Also, any opportunity to see Scherzy whipping up choreography with a crew of dancers is going to be an instant, emphatic “yes, please.”

The TikTok promo posts from Nicole are a win for us all as well: in one, Scherzy feels her Paula Abdul “Opposites Attract” fantasy with a cartoon BFF. In another, she inexplicably poses on set to the sound of Daya‘s incredible new single, “Bad Girl.” Taste!

The music video’s already got five million views and counting, and the song’s got hundreds of thousands of streams. Is Scherzy about to out-chart “React” with a Big Fat Bingo Bop? Say it ain’t S-O!

Until we all loosen up our buttons and get those vaccines for the PCD show to finally get on the road, Scherzinger’s Reverse Crazy Frog Expedition is the next best thing.

The Puerto Rican singer and former Pussycat Doll joined forces for the new song "She's Bingo."

Luis Fonsi is mesmerized by Nicole Scherzinger in their new music video "She's Bingo," about finding your "winning combination." The song, produced by MC Blitzy, is a new version of the 1979 disco classic "D.I.S.C.O" by Ottawan. In the clip, the artists dance and sing their way around the globe. We see them in a New York City subway, a Tokyo market, and a Parisian hotel, but all scenes were filmed in Miami. The concept was inspired by the mobile bingo game Bingo Blitz.

"I love to write and produce, not only sing and perform, and I was really happy that they let me put my own flavor to the song. We need dance, and we need joy in our lives now more than ever," Fonsi said. "The production is amazing, the sets."

The former star of the Pussycats Dolls added: "I've shot a lot of music videos, and this is on another level. Fonsi has made the whole project easy and fun." The game brings back childhood memories for the singer, of Hawaiian and Filipino descent. "When I think about Bingo, it makes me think about my family because I used to play it with my family growing up, and it's super fun," Scherzinger said.

Fans of the Pussycat Dolls will be happy to hear that after the band reunited in 2019, Scherzinger will lead their reunion world tour once the COVID-19 pandemic is over. The singer just wrapped the fifth season of FOX's reality show The Masked Singer.
