Donation FAQs

Are my online donations secure?

Yes. The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure environment for every donor donating online.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Donations to TOUCH Community Services Limited are eligible for a 250% tax deduction. Tax deductible donations are to be made by 31 December to be included in the tax assessment.

Do I get a receipt?

TOUCH will send you an email to acknowledge receipt of your charitable donations. The tax deduction benefit will be automatically included in your tax assessment if you've given your NRIC/FIN, so paper receipts are not required.

Besides giving online, how else can I make a donation?

You can write us a cheque payable to “TOUCH Community Services Limited”.

How do I make changes to my Monthly Donation Amount?

For monthly donations via credit card, your monthly donation will be made based on the date of your first donation. You may make changes to your donation at any time by writing in to [email protected] with your Name, NRIC/Fin and contact number.

Should I wish to donate, will I have to provide my full NRIC?

To comply with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) guidelines, your full NRIC will only be collected if you require a Tax Deduction Receipt (TDR) for your donation. Should you not wish to receive a TDR, you will not be required to submit your NRIC.

Which payment gateway does TOUCH use?

The security and confidentiality of donor information and donations is a priority. As part of TOUCH’s continuous effort to ensure that online donations are processed on a safe and secure platform, we have switched to PayPal as our payment gateway on the website with effect from 24 October 2021.

Why is my donation non-refundable?

As a charity, TOUCH relies on donations to serve almost 200,000 lives through our services.

TOUCH is not able to make refunds as the donations received may have already been utilised to meet the pressing needs of our beneficiaries.

If you are aware of fraudulent/unauthorised use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, please notify your card provider.

We appreciate your generous giving and thank you for your understanding.

What is counted as a charity?

A charitable organization or charity is an organization whose primary objectives are philanthropy and social well-being (e.g. educational, religious or other activities serving the public interest or common good).

What is the difference between charity and IPC?

IPC is a status accorded to a registered charity or an exempt charity for a period of time. In addition to the income tax and property tax benefits enjoyed by registered charities, IPCs are authorised to issue tax deduction receipts for qualifying donations received.
