The movie was a hit, earning $47.03 million at the box office, but didn’t hang around in cinemas for all that long and is no longer showing. If you didn’t catch it in theaters, you’re probably wondering where you can watch My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission online.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is due to release on home video in DVD and Blu-Ray formats and on streaming via Crunchyroll from August 23th, 2022 in the United States. Meanwhile, it will launch in the UK and Ireland via the same platforms on September 26th, 2022, though this time through Funimation. There’s not much longer to wait to watch My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission online, though you could technically import the Japanese home video release if you’re impatient.

Netflix UK has Heroes Rising, the second film, on the service as well as the first season of the show, but Netflix US has no MHA at all. “When a terrorist organization threatens to wipe out the superhuman society, the fate of the world hangs in the balance of the future heroes. Within hours until the collapse of civilization, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki must work as a team, but there is one problem: Deku’s on the run for murder.”

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission Online runs for 105 minutes and doesn’t have a post-credits scene.

Do I Need To Watch My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission?

While it’s been mentioned that My Hero Academia’s movies are all canon, they’re strangely never referenced in the show itself and their events are almost completely disregarded.

While the events of World Heroes’ Mission take place before the Endeavor arc (the end of Season 4 and parts of Season 5), there’s been no mention of it all the way up to the end of Season 5 in the show.

If you want more My Hero Academia with very low stakes where you know that nothing will really stick or matter, My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is a fun romp, if nothing else.
