Seemingly small actions have the potential to become big life changers, just ask Beth Hancock.  In 2010 She and husband Ed had left the sailboat cruzing life and settled in as full time lowcountry residents. Ed was enjoying retirement ashore but Beth felt a draw to return to some kind of work. While thumbing through a grocery store real estate listing book, she recognized a building for sale. To coin a popular phrase they said “lets do this” and the couple got to work. Four months later the Hancock’s turned the lights on at Where’d You Get That and things haven’t slowed down since.

The 4,000 square foot consignment store is run by Beth and a team of wonderful ladies. Lisa Colle , Beverly Cox and Sheryl O’Sullivan work hard to keep things vibrant and organized. Maintaining the operating system and oversite of the accounting is where Ed steps in. Add almost 2000 active consignors and you have a recipe for success.

“I have always believed in the concept of consignment. both selling and shopping.” states Beth, “Letting go of old favorites allows you the freedom to aquire new treasures and explore fresh ideas. Travel, holidays, and of course a move can all be the inspiration to re think your personal space and wardrobe. Achieving that through consignment shopping is an enviornmentally responsible option.”
