Since Clicker Heroes is now on Steam, some browser players may want to move their save data to the Steam client. I certainly did.

Importing and exporting data between the Kongregate, Armor Games, and Steam versions of Clicker Heroes is very easy and is done the same way between all three. You can move save data between all three versions of the game at this time.

Save your data

First and foremost, you need to save your primary game data. Mine was on Armor Games and I wanted to move my data to Steam, so I launched it on Armor Games and clicked the wrench icon at the top right.

Click 'Save'.

Here's the only way this is tricky: You need to pay attention to the directory the game tries to save. I use Firefox, so my data is saved by default in C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox -- yours will vary based on your browser. You can choose the directory you save in, however.

The file's default name is 'clickerHeroSave'.

Importing

Importing your save data is really easy, just like saving it.

Go to the directory you saved 'clickerHeroSave' into and open the file in a word processor like Notepad, then select all the text and copy.

Launch the version of the game you want to move your save data to and click the wrench icon just like above and click 'Import'.

From here it will ask you to paste the save data text. Paste it in the field where it says "Paste data here..." and click 'Import' to finish moving your data.

Non-English translations are incomplete. They are not displayed in the game's stylized font, some text is in English and lore parts, which have no impact on gameplay, are missing entirely.

A save file is a series of characters that can be decoded by Clicker Heroes, allowing it to read the state of the player's game at the time the save file was made.

Structure

The save file format of version 2.6.4 is as follows:

save file = 32 bit hash | b64encodedPart

The save file starts with a 32 bit hash, followed by base 64 encoded data. The encoded data is zlib compressed JSON.

Since the Web Version of Clicker Heroes doesn't work, you either have to transfer to mobile or Steam. Steam is easier since it is on PC. First, you have to download Steam. Search "Download Steam" and you will probably find a link that lets you download it. Make an account and then go to the Steam Library and download Clicker Heroes. The hard part is finding the save file. So, go to File Explorer and search your AppData folder for account_so.sol. It might take a few minutes. You would find maybe 2 to 3 results. Open the files. Find the first "7a" and copy everything starting there. Then open Clicker Heroes (Steam) and paste your data there. You are now finished

How do I import saves into Clicker Heroes?

Does Clicker Heroes auto save?

But, upon experimentation, the game autosaves approximately every 60 seconds since its launch. As said in this answer, you can avoid having to wait up to 60 seconds for the autosave to occur (since your last action) is to hit the wrench at the top right corner and then 'save'.
