The 2005 Honda Odyssey does not come with an aux input in the vehicle at all. 2005 was a little bit too early for an aux input and only a few vehicles on the market had them. They had not reached widespread availability like they are today. If You want to add an aux port to Your 2005 Odyssey then it is pretty easy to do. There are third party kits that are on the market that connect to the multi-cd changer port in the back of it that will add a USB and 3.5mm jack. You can also change out Your head unit to a new one and that will add auxiliary inputs and even more modern features like Apple CarPlay.

The only way to have AUX input port in your 2005 Honda Odyssey is if you have optioned for the Rear Entertainment System (RES). In that case, the AUX port is located in the 3rd row seating area. If you do not have the RES there are aftermarket plug-and-play kits available for purchase and installation.

Laura the Bluetooth will work I just did that to my Honda odyssey

Laura the Bluetooth a will work they sell the Bluetooth transmitters at Wal-Mart that has the rca cables with it.if cant find it buy the Bluetooth transmitter and they buy a rca to aux/in converter.make sure is a aux in, on the adapter

My 2005 Odyssey with RES doesn't have an auxiliary port (except for video and audio ports in the third row). I am looking to install an aftermarket bluetooth device. Any luck anyone?

The 2005 Honda Odyssey with the rear entertainment system has an aux port but the others do not.

Howcome it's easy to fine the AUX (for MP3 players) input for some of the Ody models below and after the '05 Ody model but for '05 model itself, there seems to be none. Please help! If there is no AUX input, what is the easiest way to add one?

Unless you have a 2005 with a RES (Rear Entertainment System), you do NOT have an AUX Input jack. If you have RES, the AUX input jack is in the 3rd row.

As noted, they became standard on EX+ in 2008. Our 2007 EX-L did not have one, but I installed an iSimple adaptor that adds an iPod interface and an AUX interface.

I bought the iSimple because it was the cheapest I could find and had the extra AUX input.

It took about 1.5 hours to install, including the 1 hour spent trying to find a bolt I had dropped... :-/ You can search for people's experiences with other brands of adaptors (USASPEC, Blitz).

Hey guys, thanks for the info! I do not have RES so i guess i am going to have to install the iSimple as well. Do you know a site where it teaches how to install iSimple?

Do a search on "ipod interface install", there are many threads.

BTW, Best Buy sells it but they include the install, which pushes the price up a lot. I bought it on Amazon.

I have RES in my car, but when ai connect my cellphone, the music doesn't play in the car or in the cellphone. What can I do?

I have a 06. And res. And my radio has a aux button. But I can not find a aux plug in anywhere...
