The implications of Armando’s abduction are revealed in Elite season 5, leaving viewers with many doubts and an unanswered finish.

ELITE SEASON 5 PLOT PREVIEW

Elite Season 5 premiered on Netflix on April 8, 2022. A man who was stalking Mencia died at a New Year’s celebration, leaving Ari, Mencia, and their friends fearful for their safety. In season 5, the police inquiry into Armando’s disappearance reaches Las Encinas, and it’s just a matter of time before the missing corpse is found and tough questions are raised.

ELITE SEASON 5 ENDING EXPLAINED

In the end, it’s Omar who discovers Armando’s body in episode 4. He phones Samuel, and the group decides to alert the cops, as there is no evidence that they killed him. As Mencia learns evidence that Armando and her father Benjamin have communicated, she begins to suspect Benjamin as the real killer, not Guzman as implied in the season 4 finale.

Then, when the cops show up at Las Encinas, Benjamin starts pressuring Samuel, noting that he had earlier stated that Armando would never return, implying that Samuel was somehow involved in the body’s abduction. Benjamin even recommends forging a deal with Samuel, whereby the student takes the blame for killing Armando in exchange for financial support for the rest of his life, which Samuel accepts, falsely admitting to the cops.

Samuel is charged with Armando’s murder and awaits trial, Benjamin assuring him that his lawyers would ensure a light sentence. He explains that he was being blackmailed after Mencia finds the SIM card with details of his interaction with Armando.

Mencia lets Benjamin erase the SIM card’s incriminating contents in exchange for bailing Samuel out. But Benjamin breaks his promise and does not help Samuel. Luckily, Mencia had copied the card. By the end of season 5, Benjamin discovers that Samuel has a replica of the card.

Benjamin persuades Samuel to come over so they can discuss their agreement, which would get Samuel into Oxford University and then a job at Benjamin’s holding firm. When Samuel rejects the proposal, Benjamin knocks his head into the floor before collapsing into the pool, which is depicted in flashbacks throughout the season.

Ari, Mencia, and Patrick, Benjamin’s children, come just in time to see what their father has done, and Mencia contacts the cops. After being taken from the pool, Samuel wanders a few meters before collapsing and dying due to his injuries, leaving Elite cast in tears as season 5 ends.

Guzmán: Guzmán is the culprit in the murder and, after a brief fight, he kills Armando by shooting him in the back with a firework gun when he attacked Ari to prevent her from telling Benjamín the truth behind the affair with her rebellious sister Mencía.

With the walls closing in on him, Benjamin attacks Samuel, where he hits his head as he falls into the pool. Sadly, Samuel succumbs to his inures, confirming that Samuel dies. Season 5 closes with the rest of his friends distraught at the news of his death.
