Thursday Night Football week 11: Titans vs Packers

Both the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers had big, bounce back wins in week 10, but only one team is going to be able to carry that momentum forward with another win with the opening week 11 matchup on Thursday Night Football.

After an 0-2 start, the Titans have re-established themselves as the team to beat in the AFC South, coming into week 11 at 6-3 and first place in the division. They're doing so with the basic formula that has bee successful for them in recent years, feed Derrick Henry and rely on their defense.

Henry is holding up his end of the bargain with 923 rushing yards and nine touchdowns already this season. The defense, while giving up a good amount of yards per game, is bending but not breaking, allowing just 18.7 points per game; they're also among the best in the league in getting sacks. And with the return of Ryan Tannehill after a few weeks injured, the passing game can possibly start to show some life.

Speaking of getting a spark, that's exactly what happened to the Packers in their epic comeback win against the Dallas Cowboys in week 10, which also ended five-game losing streak. Aaron Rodgers played his best game of the season so far; rookie receiver Christian Watson had a breakout, three touchdown day; and the running tandem of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon accounted for more than 200 yards on the ground. The defense gave up more than 400 yards of total offense and 28 points to the Cowboys, but they also came up with two interceptions and made big stops when they had too.

The NFC North may be out of reach for the Packers, but a playoff spot is still attainable if they can build off their win last week. Or will the Titans could snuff that out and solidify their position as one of the best teams in the AFC?
