Steve Patterson is leaving Twin Cities Live (TCL) and avid listeners of the show want to know where he is going next.

On 15 September 2021 the co-host announced on the latest broadcast of TCL he would be leaving the much-loved show.

Steve hasn’t specifically stated his last day on air but he did confirm it will be some time in autumn. Therefore, you can look forward to a couple more weeks of Steve and Elizabeth.

Is Steve Patterson leaving Twin Cities Live?

Yes, Steve Patterson is leaving Twin Cities Live as announced on air and on all of his social media platforms. Fans and followers of the host are shocked he has decided to leave the show after so many years.

The Pittsburgh native also co-hosts the Donna and Steve Show on MyTalk 107.1 radio. He has announced that even though he is leaving TCL, he will continue to do the Donna and Steve Show.

Where is he going next?

Continuing with the Donna and Steve Show will be his main focus along with spending more time with his family. Steve believes his new schedule will give him time to pursue new “creative opportunities and business ideas” – so watch this space.

The family man is also looking forward to being at home when his children get back from school. He told fans he can’t wait to spend time with his wife while their baby is having a nap.

Steve is married to Lauren Patterson, who he met in high school. The couple have four children – Adelynn, Greyson, Lyla Lu and Dev.

As Steve’s family continues to grow he has decided to leave the show to spend more time with them. Who can blame him when his toddler is this adorable.

Who is Steve Patterson?

Steve graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. He later worked in Los Angeles and presented on entertainment channels, before moving to Minnesota to further pursue his passion.

In 2013, the popular radio host joined the 5 Eyewitness News team at KSTP. Not long after, he guest-hosted a couple of Twin Cities Live episodes. This turned into a permanent job with co-host Elizabeth Ries.

Steve isn’t leaving Minnesota nor is he moving on to a new radio job. However, some fans of the radio host believe there may be more exciting news in the future.

Its longtime and popular host, Steve Patterson, announced he is leaving the KSTP broadcast in a few weeks. Hosting alongside Elizabeth Ries, Patterson has become a huge part of the Twin Cities community ever since he came to KSTP. After graduating from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies in 2006, Steve Patterson worked in Los Angeles. He hosted entertainment shows for DIRECTV and other outlets before coming to Minnesota in 2013.

The Pittsburgh native joined the 5 Eyewitness News team at KSTP in December 2013. A couple of months later, he was asked to guest-host a few episodes of Twin Cities Live, which turned into a permanent co-anchoring job with Elizabeth Ries.

Patterson quickly became a popular personality in the local community along with Ries. With his growing appeal also came more gigs and a busier schedule. He also began co-hosting the Donna and Steve Show on myTalk 107.1 radio.

On the September 15 broadcast of TCL and on his official social media profiles, Patterson surprised his fans and followers by announcing his departure from the show. He hasn’t specified his last day on the show, but said it will be sometime in the fall. In the meantime, we have a few more weeks of the dynamic duo that is Steve and Elizabeth.

Regular viewers have had a lot of questions since his announcement. They especially want to know if Steve has a new job opportunity awaiting and if he will be leaving Minnesota.

His fans can take comfort in the fact that Patterson and his family are not leaving Minnesota. He’s also not moving on to a new broadcast job.

Patterson told viewers that he will maintain his radio hosting job at the Donna and Steve Show and is not going anywhere. By stepping back from television, he will have a lot more time in his schedule to spend with his family.

Patterson is married to his high school sweetheart, Lauren “Lu” Patterson. They are parents to four children, Adelynn (born 2010), Greyson (born 2012), Lyla Lu (born 2015), and Dev (born 2019). He is looking forward to having more time with them.

While TCL viewers are loathe to see Patterson go, they are happy that he will be in Minnesota and continue his radio show. He was also grateful to the viewers and his colleagues. He and Ries got pretty emotional about no longer working together, but Patterson is glad that he will continue to work in the same building and have plenty of opportunities to see his TCL colleagues even after leaving.
