Why do people hate olive garden

I feel the need to add that I went there, before the meme was a thing. Fourth grade me had never been in NYC, and every single bit of times square blew her mind. I revenge just walking down the streets with my mouth and eyes wide open, drinking the whole thing in, so full of awe. And the thing that blew my mind most was the big Hershey's display, with so many facets and lights and moving parts. So logically, when my dad raised the issue of eating before we saw Phantom of the Opera, what I wanted to do was go in that Times Square Olive Garden where I could watch that sign out the window the whole time. Sure enough, it kept me captivated for half the meal. I still don't regret it.

2. We criticize every restaurant to begin with

Italians criticize even the most authentic restaurants. Therefore, YOU BET we are going to criticize the artificial ones.

3. The sauce is never mixed into the pasta

In Italy, pasta and sugo must be amalgamated. The whole dry pasta randomly topped with a pile of sauce repulses Italians.

4. Excessive Garlic & Spices

Many dishes at Olive Garden are overly saturated with garlic and spices. While authentic Italian cooking uses garlic, it does not use it excessively.

Because the food is usually below average, they push their wines (at least in my experience), and the service isn't that great.

Last time I ate there was for mine and my girlfriend's two year anniversary, which was a couple of months ago. The only complaint we had was the wait. . . which was nearly an hour. But once we got in, we were served promptly and everything was excellent. The food tasted good, was reasonably priced ( if you're taking you girl out for you anniversary, you're not gonna go somewhere cheap!) for what we got, and everything was great. It's not somewhere I'd go once a month, but for a special occasion it's awesome.

Yeah, I've got no beef with the Olive Garden. It's been good the few times I've gone there.

The wine is really a rip-off. Never get the wine, I don't think the food is that bad but I guess people get it offended when others claim it is the best italian food ever or if somebody makes the mistake of claiming it is authentic.

Because they don't grow a single olive tree anywhere on the premises, let alone enough olive trees to necessitate an entire garden devoted to their cultivation.

They're a bunch of fibbers!

Its mostly a meme here

Personally, I love Olive Garden. Best Italian, or Italian like food in the area

Oh, who am I kidding, its the best Italian. Some generic Southern woman making spaghetti is about as Italian as me doing it

And im Irish

Of all the times I've been to Olive Garden, I don't ever remember having a bad experience. I usually go for the Tour of Italy or the Chicken Alfredo and they've never been a miss.

It also makes for special social occasions or celebrating a holiday of sort. And if someone says "is it just me, or do chicks really dig Olive Garden?" I' am personally going to boil them.

I think Red Lobster and all their associated chains are the ones that deserve hatred.
