Hello,

Ok for starters I have my seat belt plugged in! Still the Polaris Ranger XP 1000 2018 won't go faster than 15 MPH. There are no check engine codes or any warnings.

I have tried the seat belt bypass, that does not work.

The tank is full with premium unleaded fuel only.

I let it cool for a couple of hours & I drove again with no problems. Goes real fast!, I got the temp up to 200, turn off the Polaris, waited 5 min, same problem 15 "MPH" no faster. I rechecked the Speed Key and it won't engage, it won't turn on!. So The Speed Key is off.

Speed Key 287998

As of right now I am taking it to the dealership.

Please help me

Well, behold the dealership will remove the Speed Key, hopefully that will fix the issue.

But there is a recall - Polaris has issued a stop-sale and stop-ride notice for some 2018-2020 RANGER XP 1000 and 2019 PRO XD vehicles.

Had the same issue this am and wife noticed I had plugged my seat belt into the middle seat belt recept. Plugged in drivers and no more problem. Also took my machine in for recall, minor gasket in duct to drive belt. 30 min fix by mechanics. Hope this helps.

Brand new 570 full size. Just got it. Won't go over 15 mph. Has a wrench flashing on the display screen.

well I would say to buckle your seatbelt, but with the wrench flashing, that must be another problem

frequently when bouncing along in the desert I don't want to wear a seat belt so I just buckle it behind me and it works fine and does not inhibit speed.

I buckled the middle seat belt into the driver's harness, then removed the middle lap belt and stowed (bolted) it up the middle attach point. Looks clean and never have to worry about the limiter again. Just unbuckle the belt to use the seat belt again. Free > paying $$$.

Hello Joe, do you ever make it up to the Bradshaw mountains north of the valley? I lived in Peoria for 16 years and spent a lot of time riding in the mountains and drinking
cold ones, at the saloon in Crown King. Crazy little mountain town. :tyrannosaurus: :****sure:

I just cut the wires off the seatbelt under the seat (not the main harness) and wired them togather. Problem solved

Does Polaris Ranger have speed limiter?

Depending on the model year, you can expect to hit 40-50 MPH in a stock Polaris Ranger Mid-Size 570. If, however, you use an aftermarket ECU flash to remove the speed limiter, it becomes possible to move the Ranger Mid-Size 570 to speeds in excess of 60 MPH.

How do you remove a Polaris speed limiter?

Vehicle Speed Limits - If you want to remove the limiter in any gear just select the entire table and input a value that is a higher MPH then the vehicle can reach.

Where is the speed sensor on Polaris Ranger?

Located on the rear gearcase, it installs just like the original, no modifications required.
