A multiplayer game for the Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles is adding all the MVPs from season 2 of the anime to a new Characters Pack.

Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotouge made it into the most popular anime of all time in terms of revenue, thanks to its first TV season and the Mugen Train movie, all animated by the studio Ufotable, all known for Nasuverse anime adaptations. The console game The Hinokami Chronicles will become DLC in the next season.

  • A long avalanche crow film will be the first to be in April 2022.

CyberConnect2 Working on More DLC Characters to help with a delayed sequel.

CyberConnect2 is working on these DLC characters now rather than launching the full-fledged sequel. Contrary to the pacts de Naruto, it looks like it could take over a year between new releases of Demon Slayer combat game. This is a little annoying since all the DLC characters can play as well in Versus mode and won’t add any new stories.

The miniseries Demon Slayer is officially titled, Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hinokami Chronicles and is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. CyberConnect 2 is currently working on a Nintendo Switch version of the game scheduled for June 10, 2022. An asynchronous multiplatform game known as Kimetsu no Yaiba Keppuu Kengeki Royale is in development but hasn’t yet been released. The 3rd series of the anime is expected to cover the Swordsmith arc.

Here's a bit about this upcoming Nintendo version that combines story, adventure and fighting elements into one exciting series based on the anime series. The Switch release will also include everything the other versions already have:

"Switch players can look forward to all the amazing features found on other platforms, including all the post-launch content added to the game like the six new playable characters—Rui, Akaza, Susamaru, Yahaba, Enmu, and Yushiro & Tamayo; new online missions that reward Kimetsu Points to unlock additional rewards; and all the balance changes made to the game’s combat."

"It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human and kill the demon that massacred his family. A sorrowful tale of siblings in which the fates of humans and demons intertwine… begins now!"

Is demon slayer season 3 out?

Nothing official yet, but we can expect Demon Slayer season 3 to release in the next 12 months, potentially in mid-to-late 2023. We had hoped Fall 2022 would be a distinct possibility but, in the COVID era, getting that done so soon feels unrealistic and there have been no recent announcements to suggest otherwise.
