So yesterday I wrote a post about how I failed "A dangerous game" (which holds 3 missable gwent cards) without even starting it: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/5185078-post113.html Basically I gave up and didn't want to start a new game just to collect all the cards again. But today and while I was doing "The Great Escape" main quest I got these 3 missable cards from killing the guard holding the key for the main quest! Im pretty sure no gwent card is meant to be missable. We know Zoltans card was suposed to be found under the hangmans tree in case you didnt get it from the scholar and is currently not there due to a bug, they patched in the cards that werent obtainable anymore after the inkeeper in White Orchard leaves and now this. Now why in the world would this one guard have these 3 super rare cards, its so random hehe. They couldve found a better way to reintroduce the cards instead of giving it to a random guard. This is a great find if there are more who can confirm it. I personally don't remember the Great Escape quest anymore... what was the quest before it? EDIT:oh nvm... I remember it now---I can't imagine why that guard would have those cards on him though... he had nothing to do with the NPCs in the card quest with Zoltan... Wonder if the guard will have the cards in the event you pick gold as a reward for the Dangerous Game sidequest or if the cards are realy gone in that case. Link to commentShare on other sites

This is actually very interesting. Nice find. Now White Orchard is patched, Zoltan card is supposed to be at hang mans tree but currently bugged. Will be patched. Now these 3 cards are obtainable later.. that means that the 3 cards during the 'A matter of life and death' sidequest should be obtainable in another way as well, right? This is what I need, you can send a suggestion to CD Projekt Red here. Maybe email asking them if its going to happen? I'm already talking to them about horse racing bugs so I cannot do it right now. I've already mentioned it but in my list the bugs were the priority. Plus more support for it is always good. How do you even start the quest? I have already met Zoltan and tracked the girls that Dandelion met with, I have beaten Djikstra and Roche and talked to Zoltan hundreds of times (won a card from him too), but he didn't offer that quest for me. Link to commentShare on other sites

I allready have these cards but when I looked at the screenshot I noticed something funny: Those cards are common items Link to commentShare on other sites
Is there any way to get it even later in the story? I'm in the middle of the Final Preparations quest. Is there any way to at least get inside and check or have I completely missed this card for good? Link to commentShare on other sites
Quick bump on this thread. Can someone confirm that this has worked for them recently? I've missed these cards and the quest is level 28 so i have a long way to go until i can potentially get these cards. I'm deciding if i want to proceed with collecting all the other cards on the off chance this works, or give up and start again. Link to commentShare on other sites

How do you trigger a dangerous game in Witcher 3?A Dangerous Game is a Side Quest in The Witcher 3 that takes place in the Novigrad area. This quest will unlock three rare Gwent Cards as a reward and can only be started after the main quest, “The Play's The Thing.
What happens if you let Duke live Witcher 3?Just ahead, Duke has been wounded by Drowners. You can take the gold from him and choose whether to kill him or leave him to his fate. Can you fail collect them all Witcher 3?It's in the patch notes. IF you didn't get 3 specific cards in the past the quest will automatically fail since you can't get them again.
